Lets be honest, people don't marry just for the perks, they marry because they find someone in the game they really get along with and want EVERYONE to know it. So why hold back the homosexuals while the heterosexuals get all the glory of relationships?
Yea yea, some don't believe its right, blah blah. I thought not allowing people to do something because of who they are was over. If its still publicly acceptable, then this worlds nose diving pretty quick.

Even PWI isn't only played in the US, I think the world can benefit from this quote. The world doesn't guarantee happiness, just the pursuit of it. I am heterosexual, yet I believe people should be able to 'catch' their own happiness. So as long as its not murdering/hurting anyone or anything, why does it matter? Its just two people showing their devotion to each other!

    This will not happen. It doesn't matter how many millions of threads are created on this subject. It is not going to happen. The game is developed in China. If you haven't noticed, that country isn't exactly the most tolerant society in the world.

    There is absolutely no point in even trying at all. The China devs will NEVER allow same sex marriages/embracing/whatever. Deal with it and move on!

    Though there are times when guys would create a female character or girl creates a male character. I dunno why people are so intolerant of it. It's not like it's real or affects people in any way. It's a game and should be played for fun b:laugh

    I def think it should be allowed because specially with the untamed limitations also i have one person that made a female because he liked the fash better. Also i have nothing against real **** either.

    Explain your reasoning on why it should be in there, Technotic. As far as I've gathered, it seems the only block to this would be the people that actually CODE the game (i.e. The Chinese Developers) instead of the American side of it. Unfortunately, there is no American influence on the game with the exception of what fashion/events get included at what time, as they have no access to the original code. This means that the Chinese Developers get the final say in all aspects of the game. Therefore, if they do not like something, such as the inclusion of homosexual themes in their game, they will either ignore the suggestion or outright refuse to code it.

    I'm not saying that it's right or wrong, but you have to understand the cultural limitations that may or may not be put into the game before suggesting something. Homosexuality is widely considered taboo, and while it is slowly becoming a more accepted social state, I doubt it will ever be fully accepted. This suggestion, and the resulting supporting posts, seem to ignore that fact in favor of the argument of "I'm straight and I accept it". If it was a debate of morals, that argument would be fine. Since it is more about a cultural viewpoint on a certain topic, that argument is actually rather weak. Perhaps if the Chinese become more accepting of homosexuality, we'll see this in game. Until then, no. Not gonna happen.

    Problem is that the game is developed in China. In China, they're not too fond of ****/lesbians. So, in China, they won't allow same sex marriage in the game. Even if the guys over here in America want to allow it, they're not allowed to change the code because the guys in China won't let them. That means that we won't get same sex marriage in the International version of PW.

    Am I for same sex marriage in game? I don't care either way. Actually, a part of me is hoping that they'll allow it so I don't have to see thread like this pop up every other week. Of course, once you decide to take a look outside of the norm in America and look around at other countries then you'll see that we won't be getting same sex marriage in PWI any time soon, if at all.

    This game is a Chinese MMO. PWI although based in the US is only licensed. The games coding cannot be changed unless released by the Chinese Devs. Many games have been shut down in China by the government and PW is one of the few surviving ones.

    Marriage and its concepts are only further bastardsized by video games like this. If you find it imperative to fight for your equal rights in this mockery, then by all means, buy a 1 way ticket to china and lobby their government. Why 1 way? I think you know why

    Many games have been shut down in china mainly because they suck. Same-Sex marriage on PWI IS NOT a legal contract, so there is no law being broken. If this applied to everything, then 95% of the world would be in prison for ever killing something on a game. Killing = Murder :O I'm a Counter-Strike player, i've murdered hundreds of thousands of people. Its a game, no legal contract or damage being done. When it comes down to it, its just a bunch of 1's and 0's(basically).

    I think it should be possible for people to marry who ever they want. But unfortunately main thing for the 'big men' behind the game is making money, and there is too many narrowminded people that would quit because they cant accept others for being who they are.

    But you got my vote, 100% i'd love to see people being able to marry whomever they want, its called perfect world, so why not axtually make that aspect of it perfect?

    I just raised total hell about this on my server, I might go to others to. This is stupid that its not done yet. That marriage quest kinda started it all over again. I know I get about 500k from my marriage quest. But two same-sex AVATARS can't? Thats pretty bad... XD

    And in case anyone is wondering, I voted no. Can't really explain or go into detail without violating the TOS or without pissing anyone off. Plus, having to resort to using cuss words to get your point across is childish and immature.

    Plus if we're gonna talk about people's rights, I'd rather have the right to freedom of speech implemented first and foremost.     In my opinion.... I don't hate **** or **** peoples... they are just the same with human being and stop giving "CHINESE TRADITION" things here... this game also an art and the artist have no limit to change it... just let PWi's ppl decide it.

    back to **** and ****, this is just a game... don't make it looks like the real world... except you are totally thinking you are inside game. That will sounds like you need to look at the real world nature not just in front of computer. So i say "Yes" for the same marriage and same gender embrace. Be open minded and look if you think opposite gender love is always good... man and woman also hurting each other and even more painful. if you don't want to be **** or **** just don't be one.. you can refuse like you are refusing opposite gender... just don't hurt them and push them to the corner. They also want to love and beloved like human but in another way.

    Okay too lazy to read all of this junk because I really don't care to read all of the redundant arguements against ingame same sex marriage....

    So here's the reasons that this should be a non issue:

    1) If you dont want to be married to the same sex, then you dont have to do it
    2) If you think that GOD is going to care about 2 virtual representations of people of the same sex getting married, think again - 2a) I'm pretty sure he only cares about reality.. 2b) Religion has nothing to do with this game anyway.
    3) If you think that just because this is an Asian developed game, and there it's a no-no and yada yada yada.... THIS specific set of servers are not located in China or Malaysia, or Guam.. they don't have to follow those laws. Also might I add that it isn't that hard to code, because I've seen it be coded into the game before PWI came around.
    4) Just because the avatars are the same gender doesn't mean the players behind it are.. just like there's probably plenty of RL same-sex marriages already because their avis are hetero... And not everyone wants to reroll to gender switch after spending so much time ingame.

    Stop being so intimidated by something that's strange to you and start moving foreward in life. This is along the same lines as the masses of segregation that happened after the U.S. civil war.. where by the colour of your skin, you would be told what you were/weren't allowed to do, or where to go - only difference is that these people look just like you, but live completely different... Try to keep up.. kthxbai
