Generally level 85+ on Heaven's Tear unless its with friends lol as i've been doing FF since 78 but off course i would of been way to low for a random squad.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

Not like it's particularly hard... Lv 81 cleric and no one in the squad over 86 and we did pretty well... until our barb turned stupid and decided "even though it worked fine for the first 5/6 of boss HP, I don't wanna let the herc veno [not me, we had 3 venos] tank anymore. I'm gonna stop DDing bishops and get all our charms eaten to hell!" If that counts. I was freaking irritated at him, because we had been killing them before a second summoned before that, and then suddenly we were screwed over and I ended up dead when the boss died. Sigh. Other than that, nothing was particularly hard, so if people insist on high 8x they just fail.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
So, I heard HA veno is the way to go?0 -
I wouldn't call this a common mistake, but I saw an arcane/light armor barb in archo yesterday. Wasn't the infamous arcane bowbarian concept I've heard about though; he had axes. My eyes went like this o.O- The Gaming Gearhead

Many of us do this, we check out other people equips, then say to ourselves: "wtf?"
Cape of Tauran Chieftan on an Arcane.

i dont get it. majority of EVERYTHING i see around wears one of these, unless they have the elite leather, or the event capes (or are too low to wear it). and they wear it well beyond it's lvl... and heavily refine it.0 -

Yea... I am fine with 80+ if they know what they are doing and have decent amount of hp/dd power.0 -
barbs that fully shard with p.def shards at 80 or 90+its impossible to always do the right thing we all make mistakes i am not different from that

stupid is a little harsh, but barbs are much better off socketing citrines or saphs in their armor. P.def gets diminishing returns the more you have. i dont have a spread sheet for it, but after a certain point the damage reduction from p.def shards, is outweighed by having the additional HP in terms of % of your HP taken per hit. In heavy armor alones + the str required to equip and the high vit barbs have, a barb will easily have reached the point where garnets in armor yield minimal benefits. for instance if it takes an additional 1.2k phys def to go from 80% to 81% damage reduction (not precise ingame numbers, just using to illustrate) it would take 30 flawless garnets to accomplish this in human form, and i think 15 in tiger. *again my math isn't perfect. where as if you sharded citrines in tiger it would yeild 600 HP. roughly 5% more hp.
im sure someone will check and streamline the math.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Also, both increase def and increased HP have diminishing returns. +40 HP when you have 400 is +10%, but only +1% when you have 4000.0 -

What trips people up is that there is diminishing returns in damage reduction. But the amount of damage you take isn't proportional to DR, it's proportional to (1 - DR). Once you apply that, the diminishing returns disappears. That is, if you go from 0% DR to 50% DR, you double your survivability for a 50% increase in DR. But if you go from 50% DR to 75% DR, you double your survivability for a 25% increase in DR. Smaller increase in DR, but the same increase in survivability.

I guess this diminishing returns myth qualifies as a common mistake too.0 -

I suppose these are not "common" but "wtf" nevertheless.
7x herc veno in bh59 with half her gears broken or almost broken. When I ask her why, she says "it doesn't matter because my herc takes all the hits." I gave up trying to convince her that herc can't save her if she randomly aggros something...
Also saw a veno in DW the other day wearing lv30 rank robe and pants, 7x wrists and boots, lv60 rank belt, TT60 magicsword. Lordy. I wonder if she thought her herc would always protect her too.
Any veno (or any arcane, but venos seem to suffer from this the most) wearing arcane with incomplete resistances and/or strange shards. Once I saw a chick with mixed elemental shards of all sorts.
Noob venos buffing my 7x veno with bramble. Really?
People who think bramble guard reduces damage taken.
I was in a faction once with a 1x or 2x BM. When we did his fb19 it turned out he had a glaive equipped. Read: magic weapon, which he would have had to put points in +mag to use.
Clerics using Purehearted Blessing.
Dumb asses selling low-worth items for bajillions. (Crazed Lupine ring for 100mil way before Tide expansion; shabby sapphs for 100mil too; etc.)
Supremely dumb men who hit on me without even checking to see if I'm really a girl or not.0 -
Today I saw an archer wearing double swords and when I ask him his answer was: With this I kill faster (lol...and with every mob he drops the half of his life).
Me: I don't think so...but with the bow you can use the knockback skill.
He: I only use the knockback skill when I'm taking so much damage.
He again: What can't I use my fire buff?
Me: Coz you are WEARING SWORDS!!!
He: But with this I kill faster
Me: Bye bye!0 -

Actually an archer can use double swords, though it depends on how they use them. The way he is using them as you stated is well... wrong in a sense. Using his archer combos then following up with double swords if the mob gets close I would think is a better way >.>. But meh, whatever floats his boat =^^=Hunter_PT - Heavens Tear wrote: »Catshop in west arc...

It was a scam. ANY time you see someone buying for higher then they are selling, its a scam. I wont reveal how they set it up (Spoons scolded me once for saying how b:surrender) But you'd buy & then try to sell back for a profit & get an error message. Now you just paid for an over priced item.0 -

Well the point of it being a scam still remains, as he's trying to use a tactic to get people to purchase even if they didnt actually want the item.0 -

I never noticed this until an update on my desktop and laptop had messed something up. Sometimes if I don't restart my computer or it crashes a few times when I try to use the teleporter or the stone the quest will stick in my quest log. So now whenever that happens I also have a delay on some items such as the blessing in fbs, or whenever I open something like the lucky packs or something from the Boutique.
Half the time when this happens I just afk fly to where ever crash again or DC and get ported out of the instance just to be ported back in because the quest finally takes.0 -

common mistake by me and i never learn.. not to take a spare charm into high lvl instances and also to forget to check my mp/hp food[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I want to go back to the time when innocence was Natural, getting high meant, on a swing. Drinking meant lemonade. Dad was the only Hero. Love was Mom's hug. Dad's shoulder was the highest place on earth. Worst enemies were siblings.
Hurts were Bleeding knees. Broken things were only Toys. Goodbyes meant only till tomorrow!
Life has changed a lot ....
Hasn't it .. ?? ..b:sad0 -

Valirah - Sanctuary wrote: »Impatient archer here. If the veno knows her business, there shouldn't be opportunity for others to pull. She should be disengaged and looking for the next target before the last pulled mob is dead. I have better things to do than wait around for someone to do their job.
And if you think waiting 3 seconds for a veno to get set up is a long time, just think about how much more time you're wasting by causing a party wipe. You can either do a job right or you can do it quickly; I prefer party members who are more interested in doing it right over doing it quickly.
You should remember that part of doing your job is working with your squad, not hastening their doom because you're too impatient.Valirah - Sanctuary wrote: »Besides, if your squad can't handle a blown pull, you need to work on your playing ability. It moments like that that provide interest in otherwise stone-cold boring TT and BH runs anyway. Live a little.
Have you ever considered that, instead, for most people it might just be a nuisance/nightmare cleaning up after the mess you just created? b:angry
I had a barb attempt to do a genie pull near Farren and they pulled everything, including Farren. With Farren's AoE and no BB, none of the squishy classes stood a chance. That has nothing to do with "playing ability," other than the barb being too impatient and thus utterly failing at his job. That wasn't "interesting," it was annoying.
If you're that impatient and you find moments of panic and massive squad deaths "interesting," then I don't want to be in your squad. Players like you are why this is a common mistake.
And since you're an archer, another common mistake is archers who go into a BH/FB/TT/CoA/etc... and don't have enough arrows for the whole run. b:shocked0
