Everyone has been QQ'ing lately in some form...tbh the discussions have been rather funny to me since it is a well established class versus a brand new class (*cough* that has yet to see 79 - 100 skills *cough*)

Who....your avatar is missing....if you mean Psy's at low levels yes, because of the amount of Mag they have.

And in all honesty at the lower levels many could out DD a cleric and a veno. At higher levels things change a bit.

but when I was checking my stats Tideborns seem to have a lower resistance to Wood magic than anything else. we might be able to out DD a veno but all those wood skills can probably kick our ****

Who....your avatar is missing....if you mean Psy's at low levels yes, because of the amount of Mag they have.

And in all honesty at the lower levels many could out DD a cleric and a veno. At higher levels things change a bit.

My main is sorta a low lvl (mid 70's) and I can usually take down 90+ clerics with himm b:surrender

well we will see at later lvs , at 3x i been stealing agro often ( and im not even pure mag)

but i agree that 3x is a bit too early to judge , though we should at least out DD venos

Was just throwing it out there....to make a statement like you did would imply you have some knowledge that more then a few were "scared."

I was just pointing out that in many of these posts, I have yet to see a Wiz even remotely "freaked" by the thought of "replacement."

My main is a level 100 wizzie. I will say that:

1)I never feared that my psy will replace my wizzie.

2)My psy hits hard as hell at level 30, and I had a 4k crit at about level 25, so they do have the ability to hit as hard as one. But it's gonna be another 60+ levels before I make the complete rundown. And I don't oracle, so I'll get back to you with those numbers in about a year. b:bye

I can't be bothered reading the whole thread, but wizard's won't be replaced by psychics, and if you cannot see the reason's why, then you have no idea what a wizard is capable off. Of course, the 79 / sage / demon / 100 skills haven't been implimented, and those skills may change what I think.

So far from what ive seen, psychics doesnt replace wizards. And it shouldnt be that way. Psychics just add a lil bit of something to the game not replace a class.

they're not replacing it, but they getting the new title of glass cannon model. with the black voodoo skill i hit a bit harder then a wizz 6 lvl higher then me pure mag with same refine ( lvl 62vs68) but wizz have a spamable heal that can replace cleric for a sec to prevent a squad wipe and psy have a tiny HoT aoe wich is not spamable but strong and its very hard to use to save anyone, and steal aggro as f***, so its the new glass cannon model class.

but they got kool stuff that may help in instance like vigor skills soulskill, strong DoT, many aoe(spamable).

another thing with psy is that they are mp burner and dont have anyskill to recover it. i expect something for it with the 79 skills because we get our mana killed pretty quick. and wizz dont get that problem with their buff that increase mp + ice shell.

I am sorry, what is that you say? you can "out" DD venos? I would love to see you try out DD a Full MAG Veno with a Nix.

Blah Blah I know you may claim Nix is "bugged" but IDC, and seeing that PWI will not do anything to Nix atm, there is no reason to say its bugged :?e

I have done my homework by playing through the ranged DD classes in game.

But sad to say, Psychics can Never Match Wizards in pure damage.

How so?

Let's take a look at our 2 most basic skills. At their max, lvl 10 adds a 100% of weapon damage to those 2 skills.

Similarly, Gush and Pyrogram also adds a 100% modifier. However, Earth spells like Stone rain and Sand storm adds a a whopping 200 -300% of weapon damage.

In short, it means Psychics can never match wizards in pure raw damage, even though they may have same gears.

How do I know?

I purposely leveled this Psy to the same level and their Matk modifier are almost the same, with Psy's matk modifier slightly higher and with both masteries at current levels.

I have tested the damage output of both Psy and Wizards. Psy may cast fast, but damage is lack lustre.

Mage hiting 6k crit (currently at lvl 48 is 8219) is not unusual.

Edit: Psy is a pure Mag build and Mage is a LA build.

If a psy cannot outdamage a LA build Mage, it haz no hopessss......

I bet you cannot crit for 6k on when you hit lvl 44. In terms of raw damage output, a psychic is a toned-down version of the Mages. b:laugh

You do know classes change over time right?

So a wizard may be stronger then a psy at lvl 80, but a psy may get crazy strong after lvl 59, or lvl 79.

Just like a wizard get ssuper strong after 79.



Take that into fact when you start to claim a class is better then another at only lvl 45 o.o
