    PWI is not a charity, that is why. Current gold prices are not that bad. You could get a part time job at minimun wage, and after taxes you could still buy 6 gold per hour. At current gold prices that translates to 2.4million in-game coins. It is really not that much coin, bth.

    you should check what state youre in before giving numbers, minimum is a state decided thing if it wants to be higher or lower than federal rate

    example: washington's is 8.55 USD/hr
    wyoming is 5.15
    tenessee follows federal lol.

    It's easier to make a +10 weapon from a 9, big woop. You still have to make a +9, +8, and so on to get there. Funny how a huge sale like this, which most people would never get anyways, would turn into a QQfest about gold prices. We need a facepalm emoticon.

    That helps my case even more. If they were making 5.15 per hour, once you remove taxes, social security, etc, than they would be able to buy 3-4 gold. At current gold prices, that would mean they could get 1.2mil-1.6mil coins. So one hour of RL work would not even pay for one GBA...... That is hardly what I would call overpriced gold.... With gold at last year's rate, they would get 300k-400k for one hour of RL work... heck I can grind more than than in that hour....

    I agree. Players determine the price of gold and "Game masters" are not justified to take any any action about it. They cannot force a player to change prices and control what other players do.

    No sales, No interest, No buyers, No money = no game eventually. They have to keep the game interesting and they have to make money. They can't chillax with sales the same way fast food companies can't chillax with making burgers.

    Ah thank you so much everyone for your intelligence on these matters and your communion as well. Part of the reason I continue to play PWI is to enjoy the forums and discuss some game issues and share PWI media with people on Youtube. I believe if someone read all my posts about these issues, I have established a concrete foundation for which I feel my viewpoint has been expressed and galvanized. I will not continue to watch this thread.

    Again thank you all so much, This has been an enriching thread for me. I hope to party with sanctuary users and best wishes to other players within the other servers.

    I was just trying to illustrate that the amount of coin you pay in-game for gold is not that much, when you take into consideration how much it takes to make the money in RL. I used minimun wage, since, that would be the amount someone that never had a job before would be making (most likely).

    When you think that 1 hour of RL sucky job (since not many minimun wage jobs are not sucky) only gets you between 1.2million coins and 2.4million coins of in-game money (depending if you get $5 per hour or $8), it is hard to say that gold is very overpriced.

    Now keep in mind that in order to work that one hour, the person needs to get ready for work, get to work, etc, so you really "work" far more than one hour to get paid for one hour.

    well the funny thing is.. based on pwi's stock, the game was doing just fine back when gold was still 100k a pop... but they are getting greedy, They are losing what used to be loyal players, for new cash shoppers. But what is going to happen to the game when there is no one left but these heavy cash shoppers? Boring game = no game.

    and to jazmin about the whole job thing.. i make a little less than 15$ an hour, i have bills to pay, food to buy, gas to put in my car, car insurance.. all that ****. And with the economy the way it is.. meh im not sure why im even trying to explain my views to close-minded people <_<

    Bob, their stock went from $8 dollar a share when gold was 100k to over $45 a share in September with the Anni Packs. Since that time it has stayed at $40+

    The company may have been doing "fine", but they are doing 5 times better now....

    Most of us work hard in RL and have bills to pay and stuff. However, when you look at the fact that someone not as lucky as you or me, and making minimun wage of $5.15 per hour would translate that they are working to make the equivalent of 1.2million coins per hour, you really cannot say that is over priced gold. People should be able to get more than equivalent to 1.2million coins for one hour of RL work at minimun wage, and when you use your 100k gold price, than those people would only be getting 300k coins per hour of RL work.

    1) I don't feel fooled....more in shock but not 100% surprised. I knew there were other "boxes" but was not sure how they were going to handle releasing them and when. Also, there are more boxes they have yet to release.

    2) I am not opposed to people charging...I have too. But I am also not one to charge 100's or even 1000's on a free to play game. That is up to the individual...but I also maintain that these "uber" gears and ranks DO NOT make for good players....

    YOU make the choice to charge/spend irl $$ on this game....this is no matter what sales/expansions/etc they come out with.

    As far as communication....blame it on the Dev's....I am sure the GM's would love to know more then they are telling us, but I am 100% they know VERY little more then what we do and what they are telling us.

    Do you pay attention at all to things? This is how marketing is. Bud Light markets ****ty beer and sell lots of it to people by grandstanding their product. Every single business that wants to make money will find ways of making it, and it is the consumer's choice whether or not they want to bite. If you bit, and regret it, it is your own fault. Lesson: don't bite again. Other people are happy with their product, which is why they keep buying it. You don't have to purchase zen, and you sure as hell don't have to purchase a +10 dragon orb.

    The majority of the QQers here live in some fantasy world when it comes to goods/services. Firstly, they want the company only to sell things in the fashion they want them to sell it, i.e. they can't bring back anniversary packs if they so choose, despite the fact that nobody has to buy them, and it was never iterated they wouldn't come back. Secondly, they can't allow people to buy mounts or items that others spent a ton of money on long ago, for a cheaper price now. Thirdly, they can't allow people to buy mounts or items that others worked their **** off to get, but for a cost, while the others got it for free.

    When people QQ about the bugs not being fixed, that is more than justified. A game you can't play without crashing on your as all the time is not a game worth playing, never mind spending money on. However, for optional items such as this, the QQing, particularly the people who keep going on and on about the same ****, is beyond ridiculous, and also hilarious -- full of misguided/uneducated anger.

    You are turning molehills into mountains. What majority are you talking about btw? The majority who kept buying/using packs and didn't sit on the forums QQing? Or the majority of people who only posted on the forums and were pissed off? You create your own version of popular demand different from what PW sees ($$$$ vs. QQQQQQQ). "You'd expect" means you have strange expectations as a business' bottom line is money, and that popular demand contributed more to it. They didn't lie, you just had outrageous expectations. Come back down to Earth.

    How do you know that majority does not like them? Are you talking about the long post in the forums? Those represent less than 5% of the PW playerbase.. and that is not even taking into account that people posted more than once.... Don't you think that if the packs did not sell well PW would not had bothered to put them back and instead would had found something else to sell?

    The only fact we have is that for the month of September, PWI reported record profits, and the packs were the most successful sale event in PW history, so much so that PW stock went up 500%.

    If a sale event that sets a sale record is not a popular one......

    You can say you hate the packs, but you sure cannot say "the majority does not like them", since, tbh, you have no idea if that is a true statement or not.

    I can agree with you that those pack made a record sale IN THE FIRST MONTH (in the official time)

    hell...i purchase some too...
    i bought a drake mount for 25gold and the rest i got anni packs



    but then...AFTER the end of the event the packs were still there...
    the ppl were starting to complain about this and there was NO response from the company...

    i know there are some addicts (i know some from my server cuz i remembered duke spam all the time with that 4names cycling) that may have kept the sell up...

    but when u have a referendum-like thread in the forum that has ALMOST all negative post (negative is not QQ), i think that is popular demand
