    LOL

Samthesmile....yet another Regi cash shopper who denies they ever spent money on zen. No big shocker there. rofl

For a barb that leveled to 100 faster than lightning, and has great gear, and does delta all the time, and hardly ever does anything to gain profit in game, he must be pooping coin in-game.

    What a crackpot.

Lol wow just because i made a wrong choice (it was very early and i wasn't awake. By the way you can't change your vote i noticed) i'm getting flamed.
and hardly ever does anything to gain profit in game,

And how do you know this?? Trading in this game made me a nice coin and still is. One of my own daily quests is "find a cheap charm".

Yes i can manage without spending real money (Money (TT) run's). Who are you to judge me??

Do you know something i don't know?

I think you are very misinformed. This guy spent less than 50 Gold in his all time pw-life.

I don't think that cshopping itself is the problem. The problem is how the cashshop is handled by pwi.

Indeed either the Devs or the GMs are becoming extremely inconstant with the promises that they are handing out. If an item is supposed to be permanent in the Cash Shop and was stated as such (i.e. charm packs), we as players expect this to happen. If you say Anniversary packs will last 1 month and they instead are pushed to last 2-3 months, we deserve an explanation. So seriously, dish out some answers; you have a lot of pissed of people and several wrecked economies.

I found this event was a good way for me to make money. I'm still low level so it doesn't matter to me. Only thing is that I make a lot of money marketing =)

Making lots of coin via merchanting means jack-all if everything costs a lot of coin.

I'm really sick of these things already an anniversary is one month, this is now going on 3, it's no longer an anniversary, it's simply a cash cow.

Hey andracil, if you get a free millisecond in between thread closures, I had a question for ya. Although I'm not sure if you would be able to answer it or not.

I was just curious if you happen to know (or have any approximation) of what percentage of the overall playerbase actually uses the forums here? I've heard that it's actually quite small, but never heard any actual numbers.

Having worked in customer service before, I know all too well that it's always the disgruntled few who speak up the loudest. So I can only assume that's the case here as well, hence the "popular demand" statement when the packs returned the last time. Makes sense in my mind, anyway.

Sidenote: Before anyone jumps my case, I DO want the packs gone as well. I'm tired of the whole mess it's caused. But, I think people need to take a step back and realize, that maybe, just MAYBE, a large chunk (if not actual majority) of the playerbase DID ask for them back. But since they're happy, obviously they'd have no reason to complain, now would they? Food for thought...

Of the active playerbase, I'd say about 20% regularly visit forums. Less than 10% frequently posts though.
And I'm done with closing for now, I think I got everything. If you click new posts, my name shows up as last poster until halfway page 3 b:cute

    That's a lot of closures b:shocked

Thank you for the reply though. I actually expected the "active poster" number to be even lower than 10%, but that's still a definite minority, as I figured.

The thread title, and poll's question make taking this poll a little harder than it should be.

But see, that was the point of what I said in my first post. There isn't a single user in this game, who can truthfully say that. Simply because we, as users, dont have access to the statistics of how many bought and/or are buying packs, vs those who aren't and don't want them. For all we know, 60% of the players might be buyin packs daily, and we wouldn't have a clue. Now obviously I think that figure's an exaggeration, but do you understand my point? For all we know, they may very well have been telling the truth when they said the packs were back by "popular demand." Just because that 10% of players who post on the forum is upset, doesn't automatically mean the other 90% is as well.

Don't get me wrong, I've talked to plenty of other players in-game, (non-forum users), who want the packs gone as well. I'm simply saying that we, as users, have no proof to back our claims that the majority wants them gone.

This is a joke right? 3 months of players quitting and others complaining to the core about how you guys destroyed the game balance, and you DARE to use the word feedback?

Dude, sale numbers or statistics of how many players bought zen for packs have nothing to do with wanting something or not. Just because a player is against the packs doesnt mean they'll sit still and watch others buy them. Same concept applies to world quest. Nobody likes them, but they do it anyways. Why? Because its there and i you ignore it, you'll be missing out on something others players arent.

WQ means a mere exp bonus that you can go without. Packs mean you wont compete with other players in any PvP situation, which is the main purpose of playing an online game.

You can't expect 100% of the ingame population to come post on the forums.
In the real word when wanting to find out a certain statistic of a population, you'll use a sample of that population. Since the forums are the only way one can voice their opinion, I don't see the point of that argument.
There's MORE proof of people wanting to get rid of the packs, than people wanting the packs to be permanent.

To be completely honest, that may very well be the case. But again, we simply don't know that for sure. It's all speculative.

Ah, but again, as I said in my first post: Happy customers never speak up. They have no reason to. So using a public forum like this as the "sample" basis would naturally be skewed to the negative, because only the unhappy ones would be complaining.

Although, you bring up a good point. It might not be a bad idea, (IF they haven't thought of or done so already), for PWI to actually go in-game and take a random sampling of the userbase's opinions... In private, naturally. Would give a much more accurate representation, since they would be ASKING for response, rather than only seeing the ones that come in on their own.

That's true, but when there's this many complaints about something, you can be sure there's something wrong about it too.

That'd be a good idea, although a little hard to pull off. But the least they could do is advertise ingame to go post in a poll about this issue on the main site or the forum.

You're probably right. Especially considering the massive load of tickets the GMs are already buried under, I doubt they'd have time to go in-game for a sampling. I'm pretty sure that even with a fair sampling like that, the majority would still favor ditching the packs, just based on word-of-mouth that I've heard in-game. But again, who knows?

Your poll is a little misleading...

The title of the post is "Who wants packs gone?"

when you look at the poll it's full of "No's". Then you read the poll question and understand.

But you should really keep the questions the same.....
