I am speechless when you put in delta dmg logs, a place where HP and dmg is increased by gods eye, and its visible thers a couple lvls of assisting already. Your a 'tard. Get another pic

Your basing your claim off a level 100 wizard, with 6 debuffs stacked on the target, with attack aura's helping them out?

Also, anyone with the right brain knows that a pure mag cleric CAN and DOES survive with the proper refinement, +vit gear, and a good amount of citrine stones. Therefore having the vit to survive, as well as the magic to bury you six feet under.

On the flip side, that goes for a vit build as well. I restated three times, to try out LA, Pure Mag and Vit. I stuck with vit, due to everyone requesting more HP for rebirth runs. Due to refinement, gems, and the right amount of +mag and +crit gear, I can fairly say I hit like a building. Tempest or no Tempest.

Wizards do hit hard, yes. But against another mage class, it is pointless for them to even fight one another. Especially when a cleric does have the option of physical attacks/physical debuff, unless the wizzie is LA build, which can prove to be a tad annoying for the cleric b:chuckle

The cleric is often viewed as weak in other MMO's. Perfect World obviously sought to change that, and beefed up clerics with good defensive skills such as plume shell, Wings of Protection, Guardian Light.

But really, when it comes down to it, its this: Know your class, play it well.

fiesta(armour, hammer, shield), silkroad(armour, wand, shield), about 3 other games i can't think of.

but that's just what i've played. i think in runes of magic you wore robes as a healer? but were known to dual-job with a knight, so you would have the defense to survive as a main healer.

D&D build clerics wear heavy armor, are known to raise dead, and generally use maces to attack :P

I've only been a Cleric for 26 levels but I absolutely love her. I gravitate towards Healers and spell casters. I like helping others, healing and reviving. I don't charge for rez etc cuz I think that's nonsense but if someone is rude in asking, you can bet they won't get a single thing from me.

Being a Cleric is a treasured thing. I get magic pts a lot with a bit of str, dex once in awhile and vit almost every level

Keep this in mind: Clerics can heal you, buff you and res you. CAN doesn't mean they have to. I have a cleric and I ALWAYS buff, res anyone who says please. Simply being nice gets you so much further than being arrogant.

I think clerics are pretty much not needed on this game. Thats what the angels replaced. Other than in fb's and tt runs and of the like. Normal killing/grinding no one wants to party with us other than to get our buffs then leave squad and let us fend for ourselves.

I also write down those names and make sure I never make that mistake a second time.

I would like to think most are like me, if someone is nice they are nice back.

WRONG!!! clerics are not just a support class. I know plenty who build up vitality and tank very well. I'd like to see you take on mantavip as a melee dealer at the lvl a cleric or wizard can. I think this comes full circle to another discussion on the forum, that ended up being a flame war.

Clerics are not just for other's use.

A cleric can choose to keep the party alive, just as the tank can. That is the shared responsibility of the cleric and tank.

I highly doubt the genies replaced the cleric at all. The genies offer insufficient healing, they don't res you, and they offer minimal protection spells to cover your **** when you got yourself in a mess.

I do agree on the polite bit. Dont order me to res you or heal you. I take orders from no one unless they are my Officers in TW. Rudeness will only be heard by others, not by me.

I have found, in later levels, clerics are highly respected among all classes. They are essential in Rebirth and ALL instances, as well as TW.

Perhaps it is the arrogance of the ignorant in the earlier levels from others that just puts a bad taste in every cleric's mouth.

GA's help in protecting you from loss of experience and item drop, but they will not help prevent a death. Could you imagine how hard some bosses would be if there were no Clerics? Even some world bosses cannot be done with out heals.

You missed where I said only for Fb's and tt runs and things of the such. What I meant is in normal grinding no one much cares for them. I have a cleric and have witnessed this first hand. Grinding no one wants one, but if you have a boss to kill, or an FB to go into or a TT to run... a cleric is your best friend. Mostly we fend for ourselves out on the field.

Also it may have come across wrong, I'm not saying that they aren't needed. I'm saying that is the mindset of a lot of ppl on the game. B/c they have angels they don't need a cleric.

Imagine how many people would want to squad with clerics out fighting/grinding if the Ga's didn't exist?

Just cause I'm posting on my wizard, doesn't mean I haven't a clue about clerics, I have one. I just don't change from one avvie to the next to post.

even if thats sarcasm its still totally wrong. poison's range is not as far as our pets can go. nor does it last anywhere near as long as amp, and its very costly to spam it. in TT/world bosses, what out DDs a pet on a boss? nothing. who gives deflect to them barbs to make battles faster? certainly not blademasters.

I agree. B/c in the name of the almighty dollar; they've implemented ideas that make clerics and venos obsolete. You know what I mean. I'm guessing that since the implementation of genies and ga's that the decline in people making clerics and venos has been substantial. I have to admit even my husband after getting to lvl 68 on his blademaster said forget it, I'm not needed. Everyone shouts for barbs so he made a barb. All classes should be needed to compliment each other, but with the new things they keep implementing its making it to where no matter how fun venos and clerics are to play... what are we needed for u kno?


And I am so sorry sometimes my thoughts come across only half of them. I swear English is my first language. But I have 2 kids and OCD, and ADHD.. I'm amazed I have a thought at all!! LOL.... It sometimes takes me a few posts to get out my original thought or idea and I apologize for that! Hopefully now Rose you get what I was meaning to say.

I saw what you said about fb's and tt's, but it was just the idea that GA's could potentially "replace" Clerics.

There are a lot of bosses and fb's and even a few hh's in squad and quite a few hh's in solo mode in which we Cleric's can do on our own. In that sense, it would be like saying tanks are not really needed in this game because Clerics can heal themselves.

My guess is as most, you failed to either read my post in its entirety or you didn't understand what I was trying to say. Either way, I wish ppl on here would quit assuming that just b/c others don't agree with YOUR opinion that we are idiots, cry babies or whiners. Altho some ppl truly are, we all have opinions and not everyone likes them or agrees with them.

You are right, I see LOTS of whining for ppl wanting a res after they die. But not anyone saying OH please could I get a cleric to come grind with me?Yep lots of ppl want us for a res, they have to shout it out b/c they have NO cleric in their squad. Chances are if they had, had one... they wouldn't be dead to have to ask for a res. In either case, you are on a different server than I am. So what is true for mine may not be the same for yours.

to truthfully answer your question I don't know why. We get hit by adds if there is no one taking the aggro as we try to heal.. and we run to slow to keep up with anyone else.

Altho one of my favorite venos did the speed skill for me while I was running thru the secret passage the other day.. I ran into a wall. I didn't know what to DO with all that speed! LOL
