Sick of veno steriotype

I'm getting soo sick of other classes telling me I dont kill my pet does. or I don't get high rapair bills. or I don't need pots cause my pet takes all the damage. I'm sorry to tell you other classes but not all us Venos hid behind our pets. Wile my pet is killing one thing I'm killing another. So shut up about what I dont get or take cause of me having a pet. Cause I do get high repair bills. I do take lots of damage. Most of the time I got two mobs on me when my pet has one. SO STFU!!!!!!!!!b:angryb:angry

Live with it - one of venomancers disadvantages is dealing with flames about the class.

Lit, I get ridiculous repair bills too >_>; repairing TT80-90 junk is expensive as hell.
Things can attack us from left, right, behind, its not as if our pet can magically teleport and save the day to absorb all my damage.... thats why I have VIT. When I get hit, I take a hefty blow, 400-600 dmg.

In pvp, it wont be my pet killing you, itll be me.

And Im sorry for all those who think our pet does all the killing, but if that were true, I wouldnt be stealing aggro from them ):.

Ever try soloing TT you other classes? Its not easy and cherry pie. It takes hours, and its risky as hell.

Ever have to be responsible for more than AFK shooting/bb, spamming heal or flesh ream (ahem thats you barbs, clerics and archers.) we have to stay there the entire boss fight, we have to debuff the damn thing, switch in fox form, shoot off an amp, maybe purge, switch back, ironwood, make sure pet has its debuff ready to go... alternate in some spells, repeat debuff. Its hard work to juggle.

We're more than some pet wranglers with broken pets, we have jobs, and Im damn good at mine, and Ill be ready to prove some a-hole wrong if he says my fat **** does all the work.

I'm guessing you're a fox-form veno? It would be much more efficient (foxform or no) to both attack the same mob and kill it faster. Lower repair bills and pot usage because the pet is taking all the damage, and faster kills (thus you can move to another mob). You can even let your pet take 2-3 mobs and just heal/attack/heal yourself, so you still get the same multi-kill ability.

Don't get angry, take advantage of the class's abilities. The one comment that you mentioned that doesn't make any sense is the 'you don't kill' one. That's like saying mages/clerics don't kill mobs, their spells do, or archers don't kill mobs, their arrows do.

and venos kept coming into my grinding space try to race me for mobs
and since they have pets speed
they can usually beat me to it

then another veno comes in
starts doing the same thing

so i move again..

i actually attempt to start a party
only to get the remark

so i don't really hate venos cuz the money/repair issuses or whatever

I'm not a jerk I'll help anyone out and I always pull off my pet when someone hits a mob b4 me. I just needed to vent a bit cause people wont STFU. I play like that cause thats how I'm comfortable. I'm constantly stealing aggro from my magmite too. So might as well let him have his fun wile I kill something else. To the person that says let my pet take all the aggro and just heal. Might work if the other mobs didn't rush me every time I heal the damn pet.

Bunny they may be right for many but not all, And definetally not me.

I have never been flamed about being a veno. At least I can't recall it. I have been wondered with what kind of ppl other venos are hanging around to get flamed even at this lvl?

All discussions I have had about venos being OP ends with agreeing that instead of pots and repair costs, we need to spend more money on pet skill leveling. And at lower lvls when venos are considered as fast lvling, we have to slow down to lvl up pets properly too.

Its nice sometimes,just letting herc agro everything and take them all on while i'm talking away to friends,throwing the odd heal in every once in a while...laziness ftw.

Oh and reflect will solve a lot of your problems if you fancy sticking it on a magmite.

My guess is the total length of FRAPSed footage actually included in the video is ~32 minutes if it was sped up to 8x speed, and the time to kill each group somewhere between 2-3 minutes.

Who cares if it takes 2-3 minutes. Look at what the HP MP bars are doing in that video. They don't even move.

This thread hasn't disconfirmed any of my stereotypes about venos. They are still probably the easiest PVE class, and they are still the easiest money making class.

Not even complaining, even I own a veno (who the hell wouldn't take free money?) but if you think something isn't true, provide evidence against it being true. The reason why you're stealing aggro is because you don't have a herc. I've never heard of a veno that stole aggro from their herc o_O

Don't split my post up; don't focus on certain aspects, it exists as a single statement. I'm not going to spend 30 minutes pouring over footage of a character that isn't mine. I never saw that person use a pot, and that is what my argument is based off of (I only rarely use pots on my own veno, and charms are unnecessary). Discussion over.

No, your argument was that the MP/HP bar never moved which is in error as I pointed out, and it only takes 30 seconds to see that.

You made the claim that the reason their pet cannot hold aggro is because it's not a herc which is a baseless claim as a magmite with properly leveled skills, and used properly should be very hard to pull aggro off of outside of chain crits.

Further, just because it might be the best ground pet in the game does not mean that it is the only pet that a veno cannot pull aggro off of. To make such a claim is laughable which is what you did, and you simply don't like being called on that.

Duh read my post. I'm not trying to diprove anything. I'm just saying not every veno fits your nice little stereotype. I'm not some chicken **** that hids behind my pet. I also shouldn't need a damn cash shop pet to not get aggro. I put every point into mag except the few I need in other stats for my robes and patakas. So it has become very easy to steal aggro with my magic attack. Im pretty sure I have plenty of people on heavens tear that have witnessed my grinding style. Whom could verify me wailing on two mobs wile my pet has one. Hell I have done stole aggro a couple times from one of my faction members herc. Can't picture it being any harder with my own.

Veno is the cheapest class to play. That is not a stereotype, its a fact.

A veno ask me to loan him 100k once. A veno asking a wizard for money. HAHA you must be kidding i told him.

You say you take damage caused you might have 3 mobs on you. If i have 3 mobs on me i need to scatter and run for the hills. Plz, I'm not going to cry for your horrible veno class just yet.
