    You have to be in melee range for tangling mire to work... And there's also a lvl 1 genie skill that can grant sleep immunity and breaks you out of sleep.

    mmm...don't have to. TT70 gear is ****, I don't use any of it.
    And for the wpn, bought my arbor with 2 mils, I sold it with 2.2 and bought a TT70 wand with 2mils. Why do TT runs? to wait for a squad, do multiple runs, etc? I dont have hours to waste like that. I put some coins in a good deal then go grind. Works better for me. Ofc, if you're on 10hrs/day TT runs are worth it. But in that case I would have rolled a veno to farm TT not a stupid Archer/Cleric/Wizz.

    uh...that IQ compare above...just got nullified

    You know, you're defending your class with some good arguments, the bad thing is you take ideal sittuations and you're saying this and this does that much dmg in that case. Well, yeah, it might, but that's only valid if the wizz is a mindless drone or **** in some way and won't use his skills at their best. A well built robe wizz can face a cleric with little to no problems after lvl 71 and even easyer after 75 ( when SS is maxed). The trick is to get HP from refines and shard the **** out of the gear with Pdefs. With SB on, cleric phys dmg it's becoming less of a problem. Now there are many wizzies out there that are poor and cannot afford to refine/shard their gear. I can't name those a fail wizzie because well, probably the player behind that char is not giving a **** about it.
    But go against a wizz with at least +3 refined gear that has at least 3 pdef sockets on gear and pdef options and probably some channeling. I can tell u right now, you won't laugh at wizz after a PVP against that kind of build. You would say that's uncommon? maybe. But it's not hard and I'm pretty close to that kind of a build ( now I'm HP sharded since I don't PVP at all except TW).

    Speaking about PvP in terms of a chess game seriously falls out of place.
    Its like talking about Street Fighter and saying "Ryu's Hadouken wins by default cause its ranged and its fast, and does more damage than everyone else"... when you're completely ignoring the fact the other player can jump right over it, or block.

    mages - prove themselves to not be the worst class. in fact, excelling where every other class fails.

    mysticlifex - bardges in and claims to destroy a level 100 mage with level 1 plume quill

    mages - obviously revolt to this idiot

    mysticlifex - plays it off like nothing ever happened

    In terms of healing and buffing power clerics are better than us in that sense. As in terms of killing people....well i dont know, I dont wish to bring harm to anyone. I dont wish to waste my charms on a potinless battle..

    nobody gives a dam about tt. that in no way makes youre fight against a mage easier or even related!
    ooo you can withstand a (1, and dont say you can tank more than 1 mob in tt because i know those mobs hit for atleast 1k without plume shell on pure int clerics. which you are. and 2k at once reduced by plume shell is a drainage of over 1600mp/sec. you can last about 3 seconds until ur mp charm ticks, and then get dropped in the next 6 while its recharging) mindless mob, and perhaps a hit now and then from a boss aoe, ohhhh youre amazing oh great one

    if i was ur lv id run up behind you and sutra-undine-poison you and then drop you in 2-3 spells. thats what being a mage is about! (all of which takes about 6 seconds) and a mage lv 80 can do that to practically anyone

    dont see you doing that to anyone aside from a robed user (sometimes). mages vs cleric? probably is the cleric, but it isnt as clear cut as that either!

    it depends on your armor, skills, playstyle etc.
    i used to play my sanctuary cleric. lv 71, and at around 60 when i got my ults, i 1 hit a few people (i was attack cleric of course, is there any other way?) but soon after i levelled through my 60s and people had better and better gear and the *******s started to get weeded out, 1 hitting became less common. although light armors still drop in 1 hit from a sparked weild debuffed thunder if they had bad hp. but i wasnt satisfied! i wanted to 1 hit people all day long!! lv 30s, 40s, 50,s 60s, 70s, so on! and thats why im rolling a mage. i dont care if i get dropped in 1 hit!

    i wanna fly through the sky and drop down on unsuspecting inferior beings (humans) and put so many numbers on their screen they wont even be able to see their mobs!!

    can you do that mr almighty cleric? i dont think so!

    Clerics don't get Essential Sutra b:victory

    We may not have 24 seconds to let someone sleep so we can heal ourselves (if ganked and still alive), debuff, and tempest n' blast away after that, but our Force of Will gives us enough time to undine, spark or sutra, then blast away.

    I don't have undine strike yet :(
    But I did just get Essential Sutra today and it's funnnn.

    I said it once, I'll say it again.

    Guardian Light, that is 60% less magic and physical damage taken for 10 seconds, instant cast. Sleep + FoW is only 7 seconds.

    that leaves you 7 seconds to kill a cleric before the cleric, Chromatic seal > Stack IB > Elemental/Dimensional Seal > Blade of supreme heat/Tangling Mire (-20% metal defence / -30% physical defence)> Demon spark > Razor/Weild > spam.


    Think of it like this.

    Sophiric whisper - instant cast - 4 second sleep
    Undine - 1.5 seconds leaving 2.5 seconds left on the sleep.
    That leaves time for 1 attack.
    FoW - 5 second seal with 2 second cast to thats in reality 3 seconds to do anything.
    Sutra - Instant
    Sandstorm > Divine pyrogram.

    Then that's it, No more Silence or sleep.

    7 seconds that's all you get to kill a cleric, and with a 60% damage reduction, atleast you will tick their charm ;D

    That is what I want to see, numbers and proof that a wizard can beat a cleric, enough of your sad "You're a noob" defend your class prove you are worth more than trash.

    If a wizard can beat a cleric.. how? that's all I want to know tell me how a wizard > Cleric and I'll listen.

    i pwnt arohs lvl 64 when i was 51

    anlor is higher lvl and cant even bring me down to 1/4 HP anymore

    and there's really no need to use invoke spirit against you when your hits might as well be fists

    i feel nothing

    the only way i can lose some HP against you is when i perdition (which, by the way, 1 hits you)

    i guess i passed him
    cant keep track since i level so fast
    but last time i dueled him i was 65 and he was 66
    still couldnt get me down 1/4 HP so i didnt even have to waste a charm tick

    arohs was trying to kite and using her herc
    once again, not even halfway

    and my perdition 1 hit you with your buff
    idk what you did, but you had to go get reinforced somehow and i still left you at like 30 HP :P
    that was last duel we had which was when i was 65. ive gone up 2 levels and that gave me +6 vit

    itll 1 hit you now

    and wait till i gain 13 levels and im closer to you
