You did not want to see "them" fall apart, you are quick to distance yourself from your former faction. Why? Seems many ex-Rad members in Enrage have a lot of resentment, and pursue to antagonize and gloat more than the rest of Enrage. Why? I've been in Radiance for less than a month, and I am largely unaware of the dynamics that shaped and are now dissolving the faction. What is your issue with Radiance, it seems like more than just curiosity and want for a good fight?

Concerning the Great Fall of the Big Orange:

These rumors have been circulating for couple of weeks.
Frankly, i dismiss them as speculative conjectures.

Until i see some guild OTHER than Enrage take an orange land, i won't believe these. Despite all the "crumbling" that's happening, Triad and Legion failed epically to dislodge Radiance last weekend.

And Neomccoy is apparently waiting impatiently to burn some charms this weekend. b:shocked
If i was a vulture looking for an easy 10mil, i'd be like ---> b:avoid

I'm sure there are many other lovers of good TW still left in Radiance who will continue defending the orange lands for the fun of TW. Just as in last days of RoC, when the last-standing RoC-ers made a lot of vultures break their teeth trying to grab a seemingly easy territory.

So it shall be in the last days of Radiance. Many a vulture will be given a free trip to the base for some re-buffage before they see "Victory" beautifully sprawled across the screen.

Quick? We stuck with Rad for months, begging June to make the changes necessary to make it into the guild she intended it to be, and we left weeks ago because it became clear it was never going to change, at least not for the better. It was hardly quick. And yeah, there's at least a bit of something...not sure it's gloating exactly, but we did see it coming, we did try to stop it, and can you blame us for getting a little enjoyment out of having been proved right, to offset all of our frustration and disappointment from our time hoping to build something great and being lied to and exploited instead?

The issue we had was, Radiance was supposed to be a better guild, which treated people better inside and outside the faction, which was something special in the way of guilds. Instead, the high levels routinely took lower levels on TT runs and took all the mats, then gave no help later when those lower levels needed their own gear. More than half the TW income was not distributed to the faction members, even though it was clearly not needed for bids, nor was it used for events, gear, or any other means of helping the membership. The leadership did not listen to the faction's desires with respect to TW. Some officers played favorites when resolving disputes among members and nothing was done about it because of their levels. Certain members due to their levels or classes were treated as exempt from the faction rules while the same rules were harshly enforced on other members. Anyone not in the protected groups who dared to criticize the faction was expelled rather than listened to.

I myself brought all of these issues to June and she would listen and agree they were problems and never do anything about them. Finally I had enough and left. The first HOUR I was in Enrage, Clunker kicked a long-time RoC member for breaking a guild rule. The first week, people who didn't know me at all except that they'd been killing me for months in TW had hosted TT parties to get me my 90 gear, without my asking at all. People doing cube always asked if others were doing cube so they could party to help. Etc. Etc. It was more like Radiance was supposed to be than I ever saw in the several months I was in Radiance. Nothing is perfect, but Radiance didn't even TRY to be what they were supposed to be, just sat around and congratulated themselves on how great they were and shut their ears to any criticisms. Quite frustrating.

Wow... here I was expecting a bitter rant, and you go and say many of the same thoughts and observations I've had.

I can't say anything in response, because there's nothing there I disagree with. Though, I wouldn't write the faction off just yet, it seems to be headed in a new direction. Although I still think Torm is a royal ****, you've changed my perception on ex-Radiance members to some extent.

Everyone sees things in their own way. Thats how she felt about it. Not everyone in Radiance was nice to people outside their own guild just like not everyone in Enrage is.

Thing is Radiance just doesnt get the publicity like Enrage does. There hasnt been a SINGLE thing Enrage has done to people outside the guild that Radiance hasnt done at some point as well.

Not to mention Charity getting banned not once but TWICE in her playing career. Thats 2 times more than our leader ever did. Radiance is nowhere near as innocent as they try to make themselves out to be.

Blanche, when I was in Radiance, I routinely had people from outside guild who I helped say to me "Wow, you are the first nice Radiance member I have ever met." So much wrong with that statement.
1. Leadership change: very first TWs, Enrage wait for Rad but Radiance dont show (this isnt a new policy its typical Rad) Take the easy lands, only fight the battles you know you can win...

2. Radiance did not help me get a SINGLE piece of TT80 gear, infact Radiance did not help me get any weapons/gear during my time in the faction. I went on 1 TT run while in Radiance even though I asked/offered reguarly. I attended...wait for it....1 TW and that was a practice TW even though I was on the permanent roster.

3. I do not consider myself too good for Radiance I do however consider Enrage and its members too good to leave.

Radiance had an "in group" if you werent part of that you didnt get to TW very often or to go on TT runs for your gear. Alot even had to go outside faction for help with 20/20/20 and quests etc. Radiance had/has some very nice members but the outward image Charity wanted everyone to see was sadly lacking within the guild.

Heh, the remaining membership and the "new" leadership are just more of the same. I got my 70 and 80 gears without 'em, wouldn't haven't gotten my 90's with 'em if I'd stayed, and they don't like me anyway and I'm sure wouldn't have me back as a gift...*laugh*. Even if I were so foolish as to want such a thing. By the way, who left "with defected?" Me, I left before he (and most of the others) did, but I don't recall any particular group being specifically with him. Anyway, the people who didn't like the way Radiance was have almost all left - what is left there is those who liked it and will presumably carry on.

When the 1st batch of us left Radiance it was largely due to leadership not listening to members, the way in which TW teams were selected favouring a select few rather than training new people, and 1 or 2 annoying members that had the uncanny ability of rubbing people up the wrong way. As none of these issues were addressed more people departed Radiance in the following weeks for similar reasons. When new Leaders were assigned rather than change this, one of those totally void of people skills has been moved to a senior officers role, obviously this will seriously contribute to the factions continual downfall, as even more people will leave over the next few weeks as they attempt to flex their new found power in their usual tactless way.
so as far as ex Rad people returning I highly doubt it at this stage.
In regard to your comment on Rad helping people get gear, In the entire time I was in Rad I found it very difficult to get help attaining gear, most (not all) were obsessed in helping themselves rather than lower levels, and if you were lucky enough to get in a TT 1st pick of mats went to specific classes rather than those most in need. The few high levels were very rich and extremely well equipped, the rest struggled and had to get their gear themselves.

I've been in Radiant, Radiance recruitment and alt guild for awhile, and now am happily in Radiance.

Being so new I cant speak to what others expressed as Radiance issues in the past. I wont try.

Just want to say, my experience with Radiance members and even some Enrage formerly Rad folks have been good. It was the the people that attracted me, the fun in guild chat, and the generally helpful nature of the guilds members.

Being new, there has been endless assistance with learning the ins and out of various FBs, quest and TW strategies. Its sad there is so much negativity in world chat regarding why people felt they needed to find a new faction they were comfortable with. No one should stay where they are not happy.

Not trying to create a wall here. I like my guild mates and what Radiance aspires to represent, an active friendly guild in the Heavens Tear community. Im sorry some folks felt the guild was not living up to its charter and had bad experiences. I figure its each members obligation to uphold their guilds reputation, I plan to represent Radiance in a positive way.

Im sure radiance IS being nice to their members NOW. Of course they need to get newbies(as in new members to the guild) up to date and geared up its the ONLY way they will survive after all this.

Though from the way it sounds I wouldnt expect it to last. Either they will realize their efforts are pointless and just revert back to their old ways or they will get strong again*cough* and revert back to their old ways. As far as treating their guildies go. Their TW tactics are still worthless, and they wont fight anyone who isnt dying, dead, or just weak. Which is still just sad.

Though I do hope for your sake and the other new members that Im wrong.
