idk what this games definiton of a "rollback" is but either way if, and i repeat, if they do (which seems unlikely to me) then you still have nothing to worry about much...just think of the extra sp you could prolly get lol.

i agree with this guy...go play some other game if youre not the active type...but for me i can always stand some more weightlifting >:D. i have a goal next year to squat 580 and bench over 300...no time like the present to get started lol.b:laugh

I logged on to PWI this morning and already received tons of pms telling me to sell my gold. I think most players like myself had no idea what was going on, and yes I made some money off it. It was a bit later when everyone started saying that we are "exploiting" the game. I did not not bug the game, I merely just sold my gold to people who were buying them.

After the Gms said there was no "glitch" in the game because the player sets the prices, there was an uproar. I can understand that, but to be honest..it's unfair to assume all those who made money today were "exploiting" the game..and should be banned..

Gold selling/trading is just like the market, if no one started it in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. Are you going to ban everyone who sold their gold? If the "poorer" players of pwi had gold on them, I'm pretty sure they would have sold their gold in attempts to make coins.

Wow, sounds alot like YOU were one of the ones exploiting it. I just now heard about the glitch because I actually go to school unlike some people on here, but judging by what you say your afraid of losing all your coins if they turn back the server. With all the money made, you realize that prices of everything in-game would raise, while people who didn't exploit the glitch still had the same amount of money, making about 2/3 of the server who didn't exploit the glitch "poor", and making about 1/6 of that majority quit. But glad YOU got something out of it. b:pleased

I do weightlifting too but PWI has ruined my routine. I did a workout last night hoping to rest today but I will hit the irons again now that we have this problem.

I sure as hell hope there's not going to be a rollback. I just bought stuff in the boutique and from a friend. What will happen to it when there's a rollback? Will it disappear, so i have to buy it again? What will happen with the boutique item? Will I lose that too? And how about the gold (for which I used real money), will that be refunded?

Speaking as an IT manager with over 20 years experience, the solution to this "little quandry" should be quite simple. Any company worth thier salt performs nightly server backups....especially prior to an update. Now granted, I don't know how PWE does things since they obviously didn't implement any change control procedures to insure that the patch was ready to go prior to implementation, but if they did thier server backups, just export all transactions logs for reference, then restore the backup performed prior to last night's patch implementation.

The transaction logs will show who purchased zhen gold and allow those players to get thier zhen gold back, which they could then sell or use as they see fit (minus the ability to exploit). Those who played and gained levels and such, well the game is played to be fun....just re-play the portion you've done since the patch. In fact, the quests and such should be a bit simpler as you will have already done them once before and will know what to expect. Also by restoring to a pre-patch state, any items you purchased from other players will revert back to the origional owner just as your game coin that you paid will revert back into your account.

QQ all you want but the only way to insure that the in-game economy remains stable is to rollback to a pre-patch condition.

obviously, both sides are going to feel cheated if a rollback happens or it doesn't.

I'm okay with it if I can keep my items. Though I agree with other people, those who exploited the bug should be punished. By taking away the coins they made or something, don't know if it's possible, but it would be fair.
