that fash is something I came up with in last couple of days
and this char's had those eyes and hair colors for few months now lol
hmmm I meant to have the eye color red cuz her name means Phoenix in korean b:chuckle
So I didn't do red hair red eyes cuz I didn't like how that looked...
hair color went from very light blue - pure white - light pink
so now she has pink hair xD
One of my fash clothes is pink lovebird dress and it really matches with her hair b:cute
could you give me some recommendations on alternate eye colors to match with hair?

Try a slightly darker lavender.

Incidentally, is your character supposed to be, well, elderly? The white eyebrows give her a "mature" look b:chuckle

If that's your intent, then it's great! If you're going for a younger look, I'd recommend white or at least different colored eyebrows. I use a white hair black eyebrow combo on my own character though, so I'm a little biased. b:avoid

oh about the eyebrows, nope not the elderly look xD
I didn't think it would come out like that when I finished and looked at her during game play.
When I see her head icon, she doesn't look like she has eyebrows b:shocked
I'm probably going to change that to black or something soon xD
and hmm alright, I'll give it a try on the darker lavender

Oh man, everyone's characters look so nice and unique. Seriously.
I'll give my opinion on the latest few here.

- Kyna: 4/5 for Agrona. Love the look of her eyebrows/eyes together, and it's nice to see a Tideborn face that has actually been changed, rather than left at a preset, once in a while. Maybe make her lips a little thinner, and try going with a different skin or hair color, but that's just a personal preference. She does look very nice. 3/5 for Catriona. Her look is definitely sweet. Liking the green eyes. Her head does look a little bit wide, but you don't see that as much as you see the opposite.

- Susylu: 4/5 for what you've got on the sin. That hairstyle looks pretty good in black, I think you should definitely keep it like that. She looks all-around very cute. Maybe make her forehead a teensy bit smaller... or move her eyes/eyebrows up just a hair? Not sure how that'd look. Good job making her unique.

- KuiXing: 3/5; that top indeed does look good! She must be freezing - it's snowing and she's wearing that, haha. Nice color you've chosen for the lips. Maybe have her eyeshadow darker or lighter than the color of her eyes.

-_JuJak_: First off, great fashion. How lucky that you got pure black, and on those it doesn't look as though the pure-black hides the details of the clothes as it does for other fashion. About her face; I agree with a lot of what's been said already. Her eyebrows are a tad light, but we'll see how she looks when you change her.

My main was a BM, but failed at that and decided to make a cleric instead. She seems so plain and boring... especially when compared to this thread. Lol.

You should try to make it less orange-ish, try a pink to match the hair... or something xD maybe a light purple? b:question try it in the character creation before you change it

If you think shes so plain, maybe you should change the colouring you gave her, try going with your fave colour for the eyes. i did that with my char and she turned out pretty nice. just play around with the colours and she'll look fine

Your cleric is very adorable, from hair to eyes, lips to faceshape, everything fits her well
only flaw is her nose.. it bothers me a little 4/5


Susylu: Ive always loved how you make your characters (or in this case your hubby's) So I have not much to say, only thing is I think you made her forehead n top of her head wayyy to big now, it almost looks inhuman(?) other then that keep up the good work 4.5/5


KuiXing: Cute wizzie! I find them extremely hard to make since their heads all start out a little chubby. I'm not fan of unnatural eyecolors that much since it mismatches with
fashion very easily, but for each their own 3.5/5

As I said to someone before about the curves also definitely applies to you
Also adore her skincolor, lips, faceshape, eyes and hair.
I dont like the eyebrows since they are harsh with the light colors
and im personally a fan of smaller noses. About the colors you picked
its truly a nice color but it will mismatch with fashion easily, then youre either bound
to white or the same color as you have now so maybe keep the lipcolor like that
(once again its an amazing color) but make the hair n eyecolor more natural?

Moubi: I don't think she's plain and boring but like it's been suggested before, a little more color would make her more interesting, even if you used different shades of brown. Nice hair choice, and really loving the eyes. Only thing that sticks out of place sorta is that her chin seems a little edgy (makes a sharp triangular V) when she has such a refined head shape (and of course those two dots on the lips that some people seem to get idk why). 8/10

Sadiki: She reminds me of my first makeover xD I really like the colors, but I don't particularly like how there's the skin color, and eye/lip/hair color that's the same, and then the eyebrows are suddenly darker. I think maybe even if you darkened the eyes and lips a little bit it might help balance it out a bit, idk (Basically everything LadyLenore said haha). She doesn't look particularly unique, but she does look very natural to me, and the way you aligned everything on the face is perfect me thinks. 9/10

Today I played around with my char's eye colors for a bit xD
Also slightly redused the openess of her eyes as well,
she looks less scary now (ty for pointing it out LadyLenore b:kiss)

here are the new colors on her
I had her wear her pink lovebird to match with the color scheme b:chuckle

Eye color is kind of somewhere between purple and hot pink.
Changed the eyebrows color to black, looks a lot better now (and younger lol)

LadyLenore; Thanks very much for your rating. That's very observant of you to notice about the body. Just got tired of seeing a couple stick-proportionate people running around (not that characters who are thin aren't nice looking; they certainly are! I'm talking about something like: waist, arm and leg slider all the way to the left + breast slider all the way to the right.) Made me want to make her like that.

Susylu; Thank you for your gracious rating. Didn't notice that her chin had a mini-triangle thing going on there. x-x Don't know about the dots either; I notice they're not on yours and many other people's chars. Thanks again for taking the time to rate.

Changed the eye color, the lip color slightly, and tried to fix her triangle-chin. Any more change will have to wait until another day... ran out of time to modify her look for free.

- Sadiki: 3.5/5, she's looking quite real there. Love seeing darker, nice skin tones like that. Lip color works with it, too. That hair is already fine on her, but wonder what some other styles would look too.

Took her a couple of rejuvenation potions to get rid of wrinkles and light eyebrows hahaha jk xD
Oh and that's the hair I put on her when she wears the lovebird dress


Sadiki : Wow lovin' the golden orange color! But I do agree with others about the lip color, maybe try something slightly darker in tone? not sure >.< maybe a little more reddish o_oa other than that, looks great! She reminds me of a hot summer xD

Well, this thread looks interesting, so guess I'll use my first post on the forums to have my characters get rated.

First up, Synsae, my wizard: (she's a lil bit too scrawny, I know... need to get a makeover scroll to put some more weight on her. I'm not expecting much of a good rating for her, but would be nice to know how she rates right now)


Next up, Onbekend, my blademaster: (I think I did a better job with her than with Synsae, and that's all I have to say about her)

and erased it all so i basically said everyone except for Astol gets a 4.9/5.
And the reasoning behind that is The eyebrows are gray and bushy and i don't
like the hair style or any of the colors. except the skin color.

Kind of a little baby doll look. Not terribly unique, but cute I think. I think her head is too small, unfortunately I'm out of DQP. Again.

@Casey:

Your before suddenly reminded me of P!nk, lol.
Your after is very sweet and gentle looking. Both are attractive in different ways! 4.5/5 on each. I think on your before, the lips might have a tad large. I think they're more in proportion in the after picture.

EDIT: Can someone help me out with two questions? I was fiddling with the controls on the effects panel-in game, and I was wondering what Gamma and V-Sync do. I played with them a little, but I didn't see a terribly noticeable difference. I didn't move Gamma too much because I didn't want to mess anything up, lol.

Just poking my head in for a second to take a break from study:

From my knowledge/experience/what I've read, gamma is what controls the brightness and saturation of your screen (ie dark blue will seem more like black until you turn up the gamma settings to full where you will see more of the blue tint). I haven't really noticed a major difference between the lowest and the highest though.

V-Sync (Vertical synchronization) basically allows better graphical transition when you're viewing in game animations. It's suppose to make the animations look cleaner by only showing whole complete frames of whatever you're seeing in game but can cause a slight lag time waiting for your screen to refresh with the new image. Again, don't really notice it much and I've never had much trouble with my screen tearing with it off b:surrender
