Update 9:22am PT - Maintenance is complete!

Update: 8:48am PT: Xbox Maintenance extended until 10am PT (+1 hour) while we investigate certain issues impeding us from bringing the server back up.

Neverwinter on Xbox will undergo scheduled maintenance tomorrow, June 27, from 7-9am PT.

Great, right at the end of the double refinement/enchantment/Protectors Jubilee. i have lots of renown to spend and refinement to do, now i cant do it before event ends after getting home from work and finding this.

This was announced yesterday, just so that players would be aware they needed to finish that stuff up BEFORE the servers went down.

Indeed, i see that now, but why not wait a few more hours til these big events expire. Unreal.

Maintenance start time is hard set, starts at the same time each week, and takes a lot to change, both internally and with scheduling. It's not just as easy as changing a time, it has to go through processes and meetings to change and organize things. Changing the time would mean changing not only coding but also personnel shifts that do things during such times. As this time happens at the same time every week, regardless of any events, players on the PC have had four years to plan for such, and XBOX for a couple years now.

It wouldn't be SCHEDULED if they changed the time they do it. They to the maintenance the almost the same time every week. Also, I am pretty sure that they did not anticipate a problem that would require an extension.

This wasn't announced yesterday, 2:30 am is today in this timezone, if it was indeed scheduled we could have been told on friday. That would have been ample notifaction. At two thirty in the morning on a worknight Im asleep as most if us would be.

Whenever you bring servers down there's a chance they may hit a problem before coming back up. It's one of those things and as the mods have said, you're better off getting your stuff out of the way before it hits.

if the events are going to actually end 2 or 3hrs early due to maint, couldn't the devs advertise the finish time as the start time of the maint to avoid confusing dumbo's like me lol. im in uk so instead of game saying 'sale ends at 6pm'....it would be more helpful and true if it said... 'sale ends at 3pm'..which is the time the game booted me.

Which time zone are you in? Unless it is Pacific Time where you are posting from, there will be a difference. The discussion board in shown by your local time.

As far as i remember from playing last night, the events were due to finish at 6pm UK (my) time, on the event timer. So why not end the events to coincide with the beginning of the scheduled down time. If i had of seen that the events end at 3pm (my time) on the event ending timer, i would of finished up my stuff yesterday.

Anyhow, it is what it is, lesson learned and all that, roll-on the next one hehe.

It was announced 12 hours ahead of time. Add to that the fact that maintenance is always at the same time every week, most players were aware and able to plan accordingly. Apologies to the players that weren't.
