Would be nice if some of these armchair programmers actually worked on an MMO before they start talking about an industry they clearly know nothing about...
I think the main reason why people don't like Neverwinter being called "NWO" is because it is already associated with wrestling and conspiracy theories. Don't lump our game in with that rubbish. It's just Neverwinter, or NW for short if you absolutely need to use an acronym.…
Based on the fact that we didn't specifically get to see what he ended up doing makes me sure his story isn't over yet. Salvatore is notorious for leaving loose threads like these in his books so he can come back to them later. I'm sure we'll find out in the next series :)
This is not correct. *** spoiler alert beware *** The majority of Salvatore's Neverwinter series takes place about 2 decades before the game. The game takes place in 1479 DR. The events of the latest book (The Last Threshold) have Drizzt, Dahlia, Entreri, Afrenfere, Ambergris, and Effron fall asleep in 1466 DR, and they do…
It would be cool if they changed it so the quality actually did something, like increase the amount of XP/AD you earn off tasks based on the quality level.
I realize custom channels aren't the best options, but having threads like these and making these kinds of efforts will hopefully stress to Cryptic that a Trade channel for the game is greatly desired by the community. Perhaps if they made the UI include a second default tab just next to the Default tab that has a…
I don't think many people want to use New World Order trading. But TradeNW could be used after the merge. Also I'm hoping Cryptic is working on something in the future for this... There is a major patch they are working on that supposedly fixes a ton of bugs (per their twitter), perhaps this might be one of the issues…
My bad shahualing, I must have missed that thread, I changed my original post to quote and link back to yours, I don't want to step on the toes of anything that's already in motion, thanks! :)
I'm sorry to say at different times of the day there are many Champions Online players that also use the /trade channel, so I changed the channel name from "trade" to "tradeNW" for trading specific to Neverwinter. Hopefully this one takes off :)
Walmart is still selling them for $20, no changes have been made. Do your homework before running to the forums screaming that the sky is falling. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ultimate-Game-Card-20-Email-Delivery/21310090 In fact many of the online stores listed are selling cards in many different values, $10, $20, $25, $30,…
I came to answer a poll about "Would You Buy More If Prices Were Lower?" and expected a yes or no option. But you instead muddied the poll up with some weird choices. I would like to simply answer Yes, I would buy more if prices were lower, on everything, not just bags.
I think you both make good points about mount speed in relation to PVP. There is a definite disadvantage to those who haven't paid enough money or grinded enough AD to have a fast mount. Perhaps a nice compromise would be for the devs to implement a mechanic in PVP arenas that all mounts have the same speed.
Seriously I think people just don't understand that when you try to use tactics to "stand out" in zone chat like posting multiple times or using caps you will end up annoying people and get mass-ignored. Think of it this way, if everyone stopped doing this, zone chat wouldn't be as much of a mess as it is now, and you…
You can very easily create custom chat tabs and hand pick everything that goes into each one. I made a second tab with everything in it except for Zone chat. So if I need to filter down to just guild, party, and whispers, without cluttering it up with zone spam, I can just switch to the other tab. You can also add custom…
How about we worry less about arguing, and instead just give our opinions about the game and whether we agree with the various issues brought up within the review? Remember, it's okay to not like things, but that doesn't mean you have to fight with people who disagree.
There is already a post regarding this topic: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?311821-MMORPG-com-s-Neverwinter-Review Please use the link wasabiburn supplied. - Ambisinisterr
I have nothing else to spend gold on except for health potions occasionally some injury kits. I always have more than enough gold to buy these. While I think there is currently a little too much unavoidable damage in the game, I don't think it's unreasonable, as long as you keep stocked up on potions.
I've worked as a Quality Coordinator or "Call Coach" for a few different large call centers over the last decade, and I can totally agree that many customers forget that the person on the other side of that phone is a real person with real feelings. Doesn't matter what company it is, if you treat customer support like…
Regarding the beta debate, think of it like Minecraft. Minecraft was released to the public on May 17, 2009, as a developmental "alpha" release. The game was sold in this state, and was quite popular as you all know. Reviews were put out, positive press received, no one complained about it being in "alpha". Minecraft…
