What's the point? There is nothing worthy to sell for any appreciable amount of AD, so why bother even doing them? The good old days are over when I used to make a fair living crafting many, many pairs of pants.
Don't know if this has been reported, but I have finished the tutorial and am able to craft, accept artisans, upgraded workshop, etc. However, I am still getting the green box that says "you can accept new artisans here" or whatever. Also, cannot decline any applications. The button is disabled and says you have to…
Yes, I saw that thread and lamented the sorry state of the pants market. I'm sure there are things that are more profitable, but there are few things that gain the same level of profitability as pants once did. Beyond Masterwork items, which are expensive and difficult to produce (and quite a risk), price compression has…
Do this. If you were crafting regularly before, especially if you collected a ton of old materials while doing basic content and invested in epic artisans, those are worth millions of tickets. Today, Lady Begum is buying myrrh. She will give 750 credit for myrrh but it only costs 300 from your materials exchange. Easily to…
There will be fewer people making pants because they are currently locked out professions and there has been no word on when the bugs will be fixed to allow them access to crafting once again. However, with the upheaval in the pants market, it is doubtful that they will return since profit is all but gone now. Sadly,…
Hardly. Some of us are still stuck in Running a Workshop because we were disconnected while accepting the first 4 applicants. Still says Accept Applications (1/1), can't abandon or restart the quest, retainer can't do anything, so no way to progress at all. This was the very first bug reported and over a week not…
Still stuck in Running a Workshop with Accept Applications (1/1), can't abandon and restart quest, no new applicants arrive. Thanks for that. And of course, completely unable to even access any professions, much less craft many, many pairs of pants.
It would have helped a lot if you had done this a week ago. Beyond the first day, players received absolutely no communication about any of the problems. Even if it was merely an acknowledgement that the most serious issues were known and were being addressed, that would have been enough not to tick people off. As it is,…
Still waiting on any word fixing the tutorial and being able to access professions once again. It is a loss to the entire Neverwinter community that one cannot craft many, many pairs of pants.
I know. Ridiculous that this wasn't corrected. It was the very first problem reported. I don't like to complain but being locked out of professions completely means a total inability to craft many, many pairs of pants.
OK so now "Running the Workshop" says Accept Applications 1/1 instead of 3/4. I guess that's a change but it is still impossible to dismiss any artisans and no new ones have shown up to accept. Also cannot drop the quest and talking to the retainer does nothing. This is really a shame. Even if the initial cause of the…
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. My pants-making empire stands in ruins and not being fixed?! Aghast, I am! For shame! Bad form! How is this possible? I may go insane for want of crafting many, many pairs of pants.
No update from moderator? Somewhat disappointing considering communication was not bad yesterday. Still disappointed that we do not know for sure if the tutorial will be fixed. Day 2 of not being able to craft many, many pairs of pants.
Does this item include getting stuck in the tutorial due to the disconnects? FYI, since the second disconnect early on, I have not had any other disconnects. Thank you in advance for your diligence. I believe that your folks are working very hard to restore the crucial ability to craft many, many pairs of pants.
Indeed. I even had another artisan randomly show up, so I accepted but that didn't advance the quest counter. Now I have 4 level 70 artisans, a level 34 artisan, an incomplete quest, and an inability to craft many, many pairs of pants.
I was able to complete it after leaving the quest location, dropping the quest, picking it back up from that dude, and completing it without missing any cutscenes (including the one with the giant leading up to the fight with the bird that you've already seen 4 times because you've had to do Retrieval Operation over and…
Yo I don't think I'm stuck but I had to do this damn quest 3 times because of missing steps due to transitions and cutscenes. The last time, I literally saw an entire cutscene and transition that I never saw both times I ran it before. I'm getting new missions now but there seem to be some delays with quests appearing and…
In the starting questline for professions, I was disconnected while accepting the first 4 applications for artisans. I have the artisans but the questline still says 3/4 applications accepted. There are no new applications and I cannot dismiss any artisans. I also cannot abandon the quest. Please help. This interruption is…
They didn't need to give it away for free. I had a report card I was willing to exchange for it, which I had to go get. You can buy every other artifact on AH if you have enough AD. Oh well, I have the dagger now so I can return to crafting many, many pairs of pants.
Yes, with a week to go in the campaign, this is finally being resolved, although I do not understand why the dagger would only be reclaimable once. Many sets are available with artifacts that can be earned or bought and sold on auction house. Either way, at least it will finally fix a boneheaded move to create a set…
This master craftsman is tentatively positive and engaged for this overhaul. It reads like the plan is fair and will introduce new life into professions. Of course, my concern is purely selfish and it will be interesting to see what happens with the market. If these modifications somehow depress prices, for example, it…
So no resolution to previous owners being unable to reclaim the Apocalypse Dagger? What a joke. Since it is now impossible for many to complete this set, I guess I'll just go back to crafting many, many pairs of pants.
Answered my own question: received the blank report card from the drider in Trial of Traps but the quest is not repeatable! Way to go, dorks. I hope they fix this silliness.
Has anyone confirmed that you can still receive the blank report card to get the dagger if you've already completed the campaign? It definitely cannot be obtained by crafting many, many pairs of pants.
Hmmm... "professions system overhaul" sounds like it might interfere in my pants-making empire. I'm suspicious of anything that may impact my ability to generate riches from crafting many, many pairs of pants.
Yeah, I just did this yesterday and it was ridiculous. Just add a slider bar! It certainly took away time I could have better spent crafting many, many pairs of pants.
