  • Apoc makes some amazing maps. Even if your person that doesn't want to spend the time to read the lore he puts in place or the dialog and just want eye candy, his maps have it. Don't just rush through. He adds alot of little details that you can miss if you have tunnel vision on the shiny line on the ground. Amazing work…
  • This is what I do now and yes I agree, I dont like the "complete" message to appear, but its the only thing we have at the moment.
  • The fight is not "hard" if people listen and follow directions. In fact I think that other than maybe the pirate guy, this is one of the best dungeon bosses I have seen. It actually takes working together and following mechanics versus just standing in a circle and holding your left mouse button down.
  • ^^. This. My basic encounters are Into the Fray, Enforced Threat, and Knights Valor. Sometimes I use Iron Warrior but find if I have a competent Cleric, I never drop very far down in health, so the the benefit of Iron Warrior is questionable. So what does this give my group? Into the Fray: Movement speed but most of all…
  • I have no issues either with threat or mitigation. Last night in Epic Cloak Tower I had something like 900k damage taken where as the #2 guy was something like 350k. So its pretty obvious I had most of the mobs on me most of the time. And my health never really dropped below 90% and the remaining members of the party did…
  • Stick it out. Keep in mind that this is week two, again, week two of open beta. Things will change. As far as I know how many people are clearing the final Tiered dungeon? Do they have a GF? Would they say no, you dont need one. I played a Rogue tank in Rift from day one. We was always looked at as a not needed tank except…
  • ^^ this for me as well. Oh. and made 60. :)
  • I used one last night in Epic Cloak tower. :) I am a GF. Honestly, I rarely use potions even when soloing. If I find I am dipping in health I pull out my trusty pocket healer and I am good.
  • If we pull down the real content until its fixed reminds me of this scene from Liar, Liar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk7fYBw6PfQ
  • You are correct. For some reason I thought it was 30.
  • I had JimmyJohns for lunch. I am good. :)

  • You can play mine. Progenitors Shadow, Book 1, The Skullcracker Tribe. I will be changing the entire cave area this weekend along with some dialog cleanup and some other tweaks. I know I have some changing to make, but I would appreciate the feedback.

  • Once you spend 30 points you can then unlock tier 3 on skills. So basically level 30. At level 30 you will have 2 points into every skill at that point.
  • What you don't get from a companion is a human being making decisions. The companion tanks reason for living is to stand there and literally be a meat shield. But what happens if new adds spawn, or the situation changes to where you have to avoid a large AoE, etc. I do agree though that prior to the mid 30s, a companion…
  • Welcome to the Foundry. :) Go wherever you like. But note you cant go over there, or there, or there, not there either and stay off of that and away from here. But other than that, do whatever you like. :)
  • Your welcome. Was a very engaging story. I look forward to future stories.
  • But the whole point of the foundry is to have a good time playing the game and enjoying a story written by fellow gamers. If you are playing foundry content and expecting "Bestseller List" quality writing then you are looking in the wrong place. If you played pen and paper DnD as most of us did/do then your DM is not the…
  • They have said before that this will not happen. :(
  • Interesting. Doesn't say that in description.
  • We basically did the same tactic except we had a CW tank the dragon why I tanked the adds. Once adds popped all but the CW of course, focused killed the Magus. Imps really was more of a pain in the rear and typically died in AoE or were tainted via AoE.
  • The packs do not get Lvl 60 gear. The gear they have either came from grinding, or AD (astral diamonds). The only weapon you get from the founder packs is a weapon at lvl 1 that honestly is quite OP for a level 1. It will be the only weapon you need until about lvl 15. But after that, your back to the basic grind or buying…
  • And I agree 100%. This is not an AoE based tanking game so holding everything and being beat on is not how the game is designed.
  • But the question is whether or not you can tank having the adds AND the boss at the same time and live. Thats really the question. And honestly, trash mobs maybe, but not boss encounters.
  • I just want my 23 min, 4 star ranked quest to get more that 10 plays. :( It would qualify if people would play it but in a sea of quests it gets lost. Needs some fine tuning, but for the most part everything is there. Including story line. So, fellow Silverstars/Moonstars. Play "Progenitors Shadow: Book One, The…
  • And to answer that from a currently lvl 37 GF in OB and a level 60 in alpha the answer to that is no, we cant. If continually guard, our guard will broke very quickly. I think out mit is "ok" but to take ALL the adds and the bosses depending upon the fight, we wont last long.
  • This is what I am gathering as well. Seems as though the GF is there for the big stuff and the smaller stuff is just dealt with or potentially the role of the GWF. Even a TR can tank the small adds to a degree with bait and switch. It is a change.
  • Has it been confirmed that knockbacks (yes VERY annoying) do a aggro reset?
  • Forums moving quick today.
  • ^^^ Annoying.... x.x
  • I started a discussion thread on this since I have seen the same issue. This is more of a tanking theory thread versus aggro, but related. http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?158921-Discussion-Topic-How-do-you-view-tanking-in-NW
