From the launcher: We will be performing maintenance on May 17th from 7-9 AM PST (1400-1600 UTC). Please check the forums for more information. Sometimes that includes the account servers as well. Strange though since I have been able to work on my professions throughout that time via their webportal.
Just because not one mod or dev have posted here does not mean that they aren't aware of this issue, and excessive bumping will probably lead to this thread just getting locked instead.
From what I have read in other threads here during beta the original "Holy Trinity" came from Everquest and consisted of tank healer and controller, damage dealers where never a real part of the trinity since everyone brought at least some damage. It got warped to tank healer DPS when the control aspect got largely taken…
But that is a design flaw in that dungeon, not a flaw with the grouping system. Even if they switch to a "full" trinity model that kind a abuse will still exist, it won't do them any good by adding in another one.
It's not just feats and paragon path (once more are added) but also the basic stats. Cryptic would have to make quite a complex checker to see if ones character was "tanking capable" or not, and then extend it for any future classes that may hybridize in the same way but for other roles (primarily leadership here).…
So then we get them ticking tank having a full DPS specc just so they can get ahead in the queue? No thanks. The big problem with leaving it up to the players is that it will be abused. I rather see the content tuned a bit so you can do it with a 5 person DPS team, if they know how to play smart. Haven't been in a pure DPS…
They have said that they won't go full "trinity" this game, that is require certain roles in every group. WoW is built around always having at least one tank and one healer while NW is not, and thus not a good example imho. The closest game to NW I can think of in terms of "class roles requirements" was CoH where no…
Personally I haven't felt that the quality is any different compared to any other MMO that I have tried right at launch, so at least Cryptic is more "honest" by calling it beta at this stage.
Beyond level 20 I didn't see any other level restrictions on anything relating to mounts, including the rank-up kits. So I seriously doubt that other forums was correct.
First of all, they don't say over what time frame they calculate it all. Second, since they say "Party in Dubai" I can only assume they include airfare hotel and such. And third, it's marketing so it's always somewhat slanted.
I can almost guaranty that there will be no new class on the 30th due to that the devs have essentially said that new classes are on the back burner atm since they want to get what they do have ready as polished as they can. So if the classes they have in the works for "future" release aren't ready now then they certainly…
You get a quest at level 16 that introduces you to the companion system and you get to choose from 3, a dog, the man-at-arm and a cleric. At the end of the graveyard zone (around 28-30, and can't remember the exact zone name) you get the cleric as a quest reward. There might be more quests that reward you with companions…
I think the loading tips even said 17 since it's "timed" with you finishing that orc area. I'm guessing they will be either mailed to you or claimable from the cash store, so most likely latest at level 4 (end of tutorial). Personally I would be slightly miffed if they waited to hand out founder pack companions and mounts…
So I'm not allowed to speak out if I think something presented is wrong? And personally I see my previous reply here more as explanatory than combative, since I see those two situations as significantly different. From what I remember they have said that it's the dual-wield ranger and something I forgotten that will be the…
Some PARTS of it was found, not the entire thing. So it's a safe bet to assume that it will come at some point in time but at present I believe that it's not yet finished. Same with the scurge warlock that was found the same way. Now I believe that they said that dual wield ranger and something else was slated to be the…
Just adding in another "select screen" at character creation does not in any way necessitate them to make shared abilities between builds from the same "base class", and honestly it would be a pure illusion of choice. It might very well come later to clean it up a bit but I feel that if they do it then people will demand…
Ehm.... who's been dissing you since I see far more dissing of people who did paid for a founders pack than of those who hasn't. Personally I see nothing wrong with waiting to pay for things when that is an option. And for your information, the game will be fully free to play, no initial nor monthly cost.
