Short and Sweet: Is PVP profitable to the companies developing and hosting will be first thing ever asked before getting this far in the process. So, to me important decisions are already past player opinions. So, here's my two cents ... Balance. Everyone on opposing teams must face the fear of dying. As soon as one player…
Why don't you stop sugar coating the truth and stop hiding behind the fact of the BOTTERS and 3RD PARTY AD Sellers are who controls the economy of the game. If players think otherwise then they are absolutely oblivious to what goes on behind the scenes. This is the simple fact of why nice things are taken away from honest,…
Biggest and most important patch will be when I don't have to tell new players in zone chat ... "Sorry, they removed that dungeon. So, stop spamming the LFG and Zone chat for a group of 5." At least, the owners of the game should have the decency to inform new players that it's under maintenance or construction.
Good job staying on top of current dungeon glitches with the re-spawning of the two in CC. This is an improvement and it hasn't gone unnoticed and I for one appreciated you staying on top of things.
Absolutely not. I refuse to share my time and money with out-of-control botting/cheating. Fix the gold selling spammers and ban all the accounts who buy their AD/Packs/Enchantments/ETC from illegal means. Then, and only then will I contemplate coming back to be a VIP. Giving me back the level 1-60 dungeons would also be a…
Difficulty balance would have been an increase in PLAYER hit points. Strategy? This is a hack n slash game combat style game engine. The only strategy you need is to get in a party and destroy the monsters ASAP. The only time I ever had to use my brain for strategy in this game was in Rhazaad's tower turning the statues…
Mixed Feelings ... Good feeling about the game receiving an update to mounts. I love to see the game progress in mounts, level caps, new dungeons (Some day soon hope), new stories, etc. Bad feeling about making players have to gamble their life's savings away just to get a new updated mount. It's very cruel to try and make…
There's this chat channel called LFG. It means Looking For Group. Form your own group and stop worrying about getting kicked. If you randomly join a group through the queue process then you'll be susceptible to many different situations -- being kicked out is one of those situations. Nonetheless, there's a new update to…
Just one last comment on this point of your awesome reply ... I don't think the future of this NW game will have End Game as I think in terms of other popular games. For one, they totally ruined any kind of end game we could of had in Mod6 because of that rise in difficulty level on already existing "end-game" activities.…
Magenubbie, you made so many great points in relation to what the future holds. I do hope your post gets read much more than my OP because you said things I wanted to point out, but I'm not that good at it. Here's a few replies to some interesting points I found in your post. I wanted to say more ... This is the MAIN…
I really don't know how many developers are working on this game, do you? I'd definitely be interested in knowing. Maybe there is support from other developers at WoTC or Hasbro, for example? Maybe some freelancers that love the game too? I often wonder what is the order of logistics concerning what is produced here and…
No one can start ANY thread without the critical views. :D I wasn't offended, but merely keeping responses on track. I agree with the rest of your post on the future of NW too.
I believe Module 7 will be introducing the content from Wizards of the Coast and Drizzt finally shows up for us to help. It may be all recycled layouts, but the NPC interaction of the story line will be new. My opinion is ... New content for Forgotten Realm fans to explore and interact is the main focus of the future of…
To be clear, I never meant this to be a negative thread about how the game is now. I wanted to just begin with what I thought is the "Future of Neverwinter". I think it is changing and my original thread post states what I see, that's all. Thanks all for your feedback!
I hope this isn't true. This game had the backing of RA Salvatore, Wizard's of the Coast, Hasbro, and many others. A lot of effort has been put into this game to make it what it is. I don't think the game will go away, but I think the community of players will change. The game will always be around for those who want to be…
I think, maybe, this is why I originally thought to make this post. Am I losing an incentive to play? What will the future hold for me here and will it be grandiose like opening day of a brand new Dungeons and Dragon/Forgotten Realms game to play? As I believe, stated before, the future will not be several new dungeons or…
True. I would like to think that's not the normal for MMORPG too, but like you said that's what's expected. So, instead of the nature of MMORPG I'll say it's what's expected. Good post. I'd like to see more than end-game dungeon running for gear in my MMORPG too.
I do agree this is the current state of the game. It's nice, though, knowing there's always a ominous threat over Neverwinter and jobs as heroes don't end in one last battle. The way the game will allow an ongoing battle to be fought forever is enough for me to keep coming back.
This has so much potential to the community. NW1 and NW2 was the most awesome game creation tools concerning the history of Neverwinter gaming. I think the Foundry community is still active within Neverwinter Online too. I forgot to mention this in my original post about the future of Neverwinter. There is still a vibrant…
Oh, it's supposed to go away? It was there in closed beta testing, so I just assumed it was the magnetic forces of Hotenow pulling on the metal gear we wore.
I agree that I was left wondering... "What, did I just completely destroy the Cult of Elements or am I continuing to thwart them every day?" But, I did like the reasons of why I would fight the Cult of Elementals except the fact I had to keep repeating the same quests, but I overlooked it because I assumed this was their…
The announcement of Neverwinter on the Wizards of the Coast web site was a very exciting moment for me. I invested early and became a Founder of this game by buying all of the available packs. Closed beta opening day was a day I rescheduled all appointments to be the first character with the name of Elminster because he is…
