No, i am talking specifically about wizards who focus on individual damage and bring little to no debuffs on all monsters, including bosses. Not those who are intelligent enough to know when to push/repel, debuff and DPS.
After some tweaking and number fitting: Ray of enfeeblement & CoI is adding and multiplying. HV & Arcane empowerment is only adding. With all four bonuses, the entire team does 103% more damage. That is amazing. Shame on those wizards who only focus on individual damage. :P
Yeah, i want to get to the bottom of this too. The theory crafting that i proposed was that monsters follow the same defense formula as the players, and that certain powers reduce this defense number accordingly, while others take a direct subtraction from the resistance. The numbers that i have gotten matches this…
I don't believe the term stacks multiplicatively should be used here. Stacking multiplicatively implies: 40 resistance * 15% = 46%resistance; used in other buffing calculation which usually implies it is nearly worthless. In this case, this method is stacking is extremely valuable. This formula requires a new term: it adds…
All this information still doesn't explain the numbers i am seeing on monsters with defense though. A monster with 20% resistance,i have 5.6% ARP, full HV set: 897(1048) -before steal time : +14.4% resisstance 563(597) - after steal time : +5.7% resistance (Don't really understand why the next monster has 21% resistance)…
I'm somewhat new to the game(stopped playing for close to a year), so can you please explain how you get 61%? Please don't tell me: 15% of 40 = 6, then 40+15 . Then add 55+6 = 61. That would be absolutely absurd, even for PW.
inthefade462, How much of these information have you personally parsed yourself? I parsed arcane empowerment + HV set. It is a total of 40%, not 26.5%. Steal time deals 5678 (4056)
More like everyone uses vorpal because the additional damage via plaguefire you have contributed to your party at the end of the run goes unmeasured, and hence unrecognized. It is a sad situation.
My numbers are are from log parses. Plaguefire subtracts directly from defense, bringing it into the negatives. It is extremely valuable in a party, and should be used by at least one class in a party. I do not know if it stacks as i have not tested this.
So basically you don't want to share your build, but you want to tell other people they are doing it wrong because they don't use your secret build. Right. Mods, please lock this thread.
Yeah.. not a very helpful CS response. "Unfortunately, if you did not directly receive an email from us, then you did not qualify for the offer. We apologize for the inconvenience. " I don't know if i qualify, i don't know why i didn't qualify, and i don't know if i did or did not receive an email due to your settings or…
That is a good different perspective on fixing the problem. Perhaps we could also consider different classes with special buffs to the team, non-stackable. IE: GF/GWF boosts POW+20%, DC/CW boosts REC+20%, HR/TR boosts crit+20%. That way we will encourage each team to have at least one melee, one caster, one leather. Hmm...
It seems unfortunate that there's only a few arguments which presents alternatives/enhancements to the solutions i proposed, while the majority of this thread resulted in a NERF-class X rally. Please keep the nerf class X and buff class Y arguments to another thread. This is not the intention of the thread at all. Now,…
Agreed. Way too expensive. Even worse, only augments are useful. Companions actually HINDER end game progress due to the horrible AI and the way they aggro enemies.
You should expect your DPS to go down when you slot G Vorpal over Plaguefire. Plaguefire subtracts resistances directly into the negative, giving you ~30% extra damage for you and your entire team. Gvorpal only increases your crit damage by 38% severity, which translates to about 10-15% more DPS for you only. For DPS…
He's not asking for a "I Win" button. He's arguing that the value of the founder's pack steadily decreases over time. He is right. The founder's pack may have been worth $200 when it first started. It is not worth that now due to newly introduced items & features into the game.
If i were a person with a lot of free time, i would love 5 hour daily raids with 100 man content. However, as a fully employed professional, i only want to have casual raids with 5 man content which i can join with PUGs, have a good time clearing, and get loot out of it. And the reality of the situation, is that…
Plaguefire subtracts the defenses directly. IE: if it's 0%, plaguefire will subtract this to -40%, hence producing 40% more damage on average. With a vorpal, you should expect your damage to go DOWN unless you have a teammate with plaguefire.
Hey there, First off, your points are valid. However, sometimes you need to take a break and play other games to see how much worse they are. IE: I played a game whereby people spend up to $1000 in boxes without getting the "rare" mount. Another game where you had to spend $10000 in an event to get a legendary weapon. Sean.
