It's you're just look for gear, then definitely by Zen and get what you want out of the store, or trade it for AD and buy stuff in game.

The $200 pack is a Collector's Edition of the game. It comes stocked with some really nice collector's items, but "equivalent" stuff can all be purchased a la carte from the shop.

The $199 package isn't exactly there for value but rather people who want the status of having a specific mount and other niche stuff. If you're one of those then go for it, otherwise I'd get other stuff.

there are advantages you get with the hero of the north pack that you can't buy a la cart and so it all really depends on whether or not those things are of value to you. for instance, access to the menzoberranzan renegade drow race is limited to buyers of the pack as well as the epic spider mount and the epic panther companion. the mount and the companion are account-wide items that can be claimed by all of your characters on a single account. same goes with the fashion items and the starter items. in addition to that, you get 2 million AD which is currently worth about 5260 zen on the exchange.

if any or all those combinations are worth value to you, then it's worth it. alternately, the founder's pack and the knight of the feywild packs offer less items, but if all you want is an account-wide epic mount & companion and you hate spiders or if you don't really care what the item is, then you could go for the $60 pack.

and if none of that is of value to you, buy zen. the lowest epic mount costs 2500z. companions, probably the most purchased is the ioun stone of allure which costs 1200z. that's 3700z right there. the mount is claimable on all your characters. the stone, however, is not.

alternately, you can wait for the weekly sales and save some money on zen store items. or wait for zen promotions. it all depends on what matters most to you in value and whether time is a factor in this decision.

Only you can prevent forest fi...er... decide if there is enough value to justify the price tag. I thought there was and so I've purchased it way back when and I don't regret it. I like how the Companion and Mount are both purple grade and I can claim and reclaim them of all characters, old and not yet created for free forever as long as Neverwinter exists. To me this is where the real value is.Considering the current pricing for everything in this game (both Zen Store and Auction House) - the price is actually a great bargain.

IMO, the packs have to be looked at from the perspective of how many characters you plan on playing. The more you create, the more the account-wide mount, companion, and other perks benefit you. If you're just gonna stick to 1 or 2 characters, then it's a tremendous investment for not too much of a return.

If the spider mount, renegade Drow race, and panther are big draws for you, then go for it, but if you just want an account-wide T3 mount and companion, then consider one of the $60 packs.

Also keep in mind that the pack comes with a piece of epic gear for your character, with a weapon enchantment already slotted, so that's also a leg up...

Get yourself a T3 mount and invest in some good gear, if that's your main point of interest...

You might want to look at the Knights of the Feywild pack. At $60, with a purple mount, 600k AD, armor enchant, Purple companion and other items all available across your account, and still plenty of money left over for Zen when compared to the founders pack, it's might be the way to go.

I hate the mount in that pack (its a white unicorn) but that is a very good deal since all your future characters will have a TIER 3 mount. Unless you are sure that you will only be making 1 character (remember there are more to come in the future), then buy this pack.

Spend the rest of your diamonds to buy an Ioun Stone of Allure

I bought a T3 mount from the Zen store... then later won the KotF pack.... shrugs. I like the unicorn with certain characters, so it's nice to have an option.

Im still new here idk alot

What is T3 mount? Tier 3?
And can I buy stone of allure directly from zen shop?

One last question, what is the best weapon enhancement stone that I could possibly buy?

    Sorry for the many questions

    Yes: T3 means Tier 3.

Think of your unmounted (running) speed at 100%.
Mounts increase your movement speed by a percentage of your run speed. So a tier 3 mount is 110%, which means slightly double your run speed (run speed 100% + 110% of your run speed).

There are three ranks of mount (movement speed), four quality levels (how easily you can be "knocked-off" if attacked:
Rank 1 is (I think) 60% speed, rank 2 is 80% and rank 3 is 110%. Quality levels are White, Green, Blue, and Purple (and a new Orange which is a visual enhancement only).

I don't know the specifics right now, but the higher the quality level the harder it is to get knocked-off if attacked (by random mobs in public zones). I hope this helps clear things up a bit.

There's the free rental horses, which give a 40% speed buff.
The 5G horses give a 50% speed bonus, and you get knocked off if you suffer 3 hits or more than (IIRC) 10% of your total health in one hit.
T2 mounts are 80%, 4 hits, and 12-13% hp (best guess)
    T3 is 110% speed, 5 hits, and 15%
The legendary mount, AFAIK, is the same as the T3 ones in terms of performance, only the appearance is different.

Since the OP mentioned PvP, keep in mind that companions are disabled in PvP.

Not worth it one bit, seriously you're better off buying Zen then selling the Zen for AD. The only Zen item I'd invest in would be a good purple mount since theyre account unlockables. Then you can just use whatever is leftover to basically get perfect enchants and still have a 100+ left >.>

Though there are some benefits, I've thought about since it was first offered and having played since day 1, It just a couple items that have no true use(to me)and that has always stopped me. But that's me.

It's your game, play it the way you want.

As somebody who actually bought it, right now, I'd say meh. The companions isn't that great, and now that the drow is released as a free race, it's not that much better. The exclusive tattoos that come with it can only be used on the renegade drow race, and most of the items you get only spawn useless things like a barrel or anvil on the ground or a junk item. You do get clothing, a mount, an exclusive race, a companion, and a weapon that's awesome until about level 15. You get a few things that help you out in the beginning, and a weapon to get your started once you hit 60, but you'll quickly outgrow or replace them. It was really nice when it gave you early access to Beta, but that's obviously not a perk anymore.

Honestly, it's more about having exclusive looks then any real advantages. It's up to you if that's worth it.

For $199 you can buy almost 25.000 zen. Unless you *really* want the few unique things it offers (namely, the race, the mount and the companion), you can buy a lot of things that are pretty much equivalent

I.E. buy a minor $59 pack (that has an epic mount and blue companion IIRC) and use the rest to buy much more services than those offered in the $199 pack.

The pack is being devalued with every new module so... no. Don't do it.

For $150 you can buy irrigation pumps for a third world village from Heifer International.

But that's fine, you go buy some pixels. I'm sure that's more important.

No. The pack is devalued day by day with new items which makes the pack nearly worthless.
