You claim it makes sense, and then never give an explanation that makes sense. I don't believe there is a single successful MMO that has ever implemented this type of system.
Well the problem is, if they do go forward with Archer Ranger and Scourge Warlock, the class balance will be this: Defender: 1 Leader: 1 Controller: 1 Striker: 4 And that's just class numbers. If we were to take into account that most people tend to play striker/dps classes in MMOs, we'd have some crazy imbalance on our…
I'm a little disappointed that there's so much hate directed at the developers. That sort of talk doesn't exactly inspire people to work on what you're suggesting. Keep it constructive, people. That being said, I definitely agree with the idea that bosses themselves need to be more dangerous, and adds need to be less…
The fights are still scripted. But now it's at 30% here are some more adds, at 60% here are some more adds, and at 80% here's even more adds. Personally, I don't find considerably less interesting than "at 70%, here's a new boss skill to deal with, at 50%, here's a second new boss skill to deal with, at 15% here's a very…
Pretty sure they have to deal damage to you. I mark players I'm not fighting in PvP, and the mark seems to stay up the full duration (unless they come over and poke me).
Agreed - the GF's job is to tank the main adds / boss the best he can. If some adds get away from you, that's to be expected, especially for the littler ones. The problem comes in when you have a GF, 3 rogues, and 1 GWF for a dungeon. I've been queued like that more than once. It gets really ugly really fast. Balanced…
Really? I love fighting rogues on my guardian fighter. Easy kills. The problem is when there is a control wizard controlling you while the rogue hits you. That gets ugly. As it should. The real problem is that teams are never really balanced. Seems like the team with more control wizards tends to win.
It definitely goes up based on level. I was getting about 20-100 in the 10-19 bracket. Yesterday I received about 200 with a win on my level 35 character. Based on that scale, 600 isn't too crazy. Maybe a bit high?
Agreed. This dungeon is considerably overtuned. I love the mechanics in a general sense (the mixture of snaring imps and poison puddles to move out of made a nice for a nice sense of urgency) Slightly off topic (but not really, since this was brought up already), why on earth are groups even allowed to enter without a…
Yeah. Too much dps tunnel vision leads to problems. The 40% self heal debuff is a bit strange though. I still don't understand why that even exists. I can't think of a successful game which implements this... Also (and I'm not 100% positive about this) -- some bosses seem to do their own thing whether or not a tank is…
Get a wizard on your team. They are incredibly strong at the moment. I've run a few pvp games with 3 CW, 1 DC, 1 TR and the wins were so easy it didn't seem fair. Also, regarding daze - if you see a rogue jump in the air next you, mash that dodge button like there's no tomorrow.
If you're going to make an argument for a supposed good economy, you should absolutely not reference Diablo 3. Actually, you should probably stay away from Diablo 2 as well. That economy was based on items being marked by how many SoJ's they were worth. Not exactly healthy. Besides, trading isn't the problem. It's people…
Agreed. This is not okay. It's already frustrating in low level skirmishes. Just had a Cleric take my Guardian Fighter weapon, which was a HUGE upgrade for me. And I know how aggravating loot stealing becomes at higher levels. Need rolls must be class specific. If you're taking the weapon for another class, that should…
