  • Yeah, filled the progress bar for the CTA event, no token. Did it two more times, no new token. Broken like last CTA. Come on guys, you had a month or so to get this right.
  • Never mind. I completely forgot about the progress bar. Ha, I did look up the info for the event to see if I missed anything and it never mentions how many # of runs you have to do or the progress bar. I blame them, not me :)
  • What you are talking about is stamina, not HPs. A weight lifter might have a lot of HPs but very little in stamina but a long distance runner has plenty of stamina but little in HPs. Stamina can be altered by all kinds of things like feats, mount bonuses, etc. If you are not using rules about destroying equipment with…
  • If Cryptic is trying to think long term, they I give them kodos for trying. My concern is not that they will break the current game, you have to crack eggs to make an omelet. It is that they will sacrifice their current player base to do so. The changes to professions comes to mind where they ripped out the old system, put…
  • Its like giving Obama the Nobel Prize for.... nothing. Might be great, just what the game needed, more than likely it will be a disaster going on the track record of the past year.
  • Well if Cryptic or Perfect World had a good track record of listening to their community, fixing issues that are reported in a timely fashion, swallowing their pride and retracting or fixing a change that goes over like a lead balloon, properly compensating the player base when changes affect gear and such that players…
  • Ha, yeah, I saw that. Why in the world would they allow the Barbarian (GWF) to queue pug as a tank??? I mean they are even removing AC from the game, won't even get that stat.
  • I am not sure that it is the HR class that gets hit the hardest. I main a OP and rely on encounter and daily spamming to gain any bit of ability to solo. And on top of that, our shield is being turned into HP... for reasons. I mean are our shields made of chunks of our flesh or something? Shields are meant to block... or…
  • I did not run it at all. My highest is just shy of 14K but is an OP so can survive most high end stuff just fine but the need to form a group is not coded well for this game. Would like to see a system where you have a screen, see parties formed and waiting for slots, can ask to join each one and the party leader gives yea…
  • Just getting a class reroll does not allow you to reroll your basic stats. IDK, I kinda agree with the original poster in that these changes are extream enough to warrant a full race reroll. Frankly I would be willing to do a new toon if they bring back Neverember's Recruitment drive.
  • -edited for readability, see full post above- You seem to have a lot of faith that they devs actually play this game or listen/care about/implement feedback. And if they did, discussing our concerns on their official forum is exactly what we SHOULD be doing. I work in IT, I go through our internal blogs from our customers…
  • From what it sounds like, they are turning OPs and GF shields into HP????? What? Are these shield made of their own flesh? Are they projected from their life force? I'm sorry but that is just stupid, along with armor having HP. The only reason that would work is if it is beaten and destroyed with use.
  • But isn't that just basically a cleric? The point of a Warlock was that they were the anti-hero, a flawed person with a dark past that is always just in the background ready to envelop them if they stray too far from trying to do good. They are like Anne Rice's vampires that only kill the evil do'er to feed. Like Spawn.
  • The GWF in no way resembles a barbarian. After reading your post I when back to the PHB 5ED to reread them. What sets them apart mostly is rage and frenzy attacks while being lightly armored. Using a two handed weapon has nothing to do with it and in fact they start out with shield prof. About the only thing similar is…
  • Mostly the big difference between wizards and sorcerers in D&D is how they acquire spells. Wizards learn to casts, study books, transcribe scrolls, etc vs. sorcerers have innate abilities and spells just come to them. Warlocks get theirs from the blood link to their master. Outside side quests with the warlock, this does…
  • I have complained about this for a while. I assume there will now be a massive amount of "junk" gear in the 70LV similar to 60+ LV stuff. Its not just LV but item level. In pen and paper D&D you have classes of armor (leather, cloth, chain, etc) that affect movement, silences, etc. Certain classes can wear certain armors,…
  • But what about solo? One of the survival traits of a DPS class is to kill the enemy so quickly that they do not get much of a chance to inflict damage on you. A OP takes 2x - 4x longer to kill mobs and those mobs will be hitting with full force till they drop. Along with nerfing reduced cooldowns of encounters so things…
  • The problem with a Warlock being a healer is that to be a good healer you need to equip for it. A Cleric or OP can do it out of the box with meh gear. The only way you can reasonably solo areas like Chult is to spam Encounters and Dailies. The At-Will powers of the OP is just way too weak to make a dent into the mobs. If…
  • And if the healer gets one shotted and dies...
  • Sooooo, what about all those powerpoints that people paid Zen (and some real money to buy Zen) for? I mean I never did it but this is not just a nerf, it completely removes something that people actually paid real money for. How are they going to square that circle? Zen refunds?
  • I have no problem with the announcement as, frankly, it does not look like a major content update. What I suspect is that we will get this and fixes and updates to the game. In fact I have noticed I am now getting character and companion XP boosters when I get my XP rewards on my 70 LV toons. I think this is prepping…
  • In Path of Exile they allow you to run your toons at various level of difficulty. I would be for this, just make the loot drops better when you set the content harder.
  • Agreed. I get giving human's an advantage in that it keeps that race's numbers up and in D&D they are suppose to be the predominate race at the time in the land. But certain races get pigeon holed into certain classes just because a stat.
  • I have had a buy for Zen up for over a week now. I would like to list buying higher then 500 but I guess that is Cryptic acting like the Fed and keeping inflation down or something. The system seems a bit broken to me.
  • IDK, lately I have been getting XP and companion XP boosters from my 70+ leveling up rewards. Never got these from that before. Me thinks that could be an indication of a new class and they are prepping the gearing up for existing players.
  • Too soon to tell. Actually I think adding lower tier content is not a bad idea, there is such a grind wall between reaching lv 70 and getting strong enough for the higher tier content that a lot of new players drop off. My daughter use to play the game with me but that is what drove her away and she was paying for VIP and…
  • The purple mounts are about the only thing most of these events (outside winter fest) make them worth it. All the other stuff can be bought on the AD market pretty cheaply, with less work on the AD then work it would take in the event. I actually enjoy The Siege. And fishing in the winter fest is worth the boon…
  • If I have a new toon rolled up, I will work to get a purple mount. The Winter fest is the most useful for fishing to get stuff to help out with your boons.
  • That's like saying playing the lotto is worth it. I would not hold your breath for that hammer dropping.
  • This is one of the problems with older MMOs; the cobwebs. They just build up and are never cleaned or updated. Typically this is due to power creep at the top of the game.
