A game is a business. It should give you profit, so more money than its costs. Otherwise, the game is being closed. It's simple. From player's perspective - the best situation is when they can enjoy the game fully without paying a cent. That's normal and natural, but it kills the game. The game needs places where players…
I'm not saying it's perfect (pun intended), but it's not as bad as it's painted here. Economy is a touchy matter and while I do not agree with several things, I also know how it works. Sometimes you must make unpopular decisions, sometimes you must make the player uncomfortable to buy something - I understand that. If you…
Then how about removing AD from Leadership on Xbox too, since it's not so important, why wait? Let the Xbox players have some fun too. Because changes to xbox come at slower pace.I think we are so very...very much beyond the AD loss in Leadership now. And maybe I've gotten way too close to the stink, but this is just the…
Players of every game say this. Complain about certain things - especially in free to play. The game is pretty good, overall. I don't understand that much all this hate for removing AD from Leadership. If it wasn't there in the first place, nobody would mind. Prices in Auction House will change in time, it's purely player…
It just struck me - as far as the theme goes, Psionic class would fit Underdark the most. Rage of demons is all about madness and that's what psionic characters involve themselves with.
The game definitively needs some economy changes. The dev team has removed one way of receiving AD, but did not change the economy along it. AD prices in game stores should decrease as a result. It's important to notice that the game actually discourages you to have several characters. It takes too much grinding in…
That's the US format *sigh* They should stop being silly and do it like most of the world... Anyways, the thing was probably in progress for a while now. I would probably see some Dragonborn, but they are not that super native to FR. I would prefer genasi. For classes, I suppose warlock, but honestly... bard seems to be…
My guess would be warlock or some other variant of classes like War Wizard. But what we need is another leader class. We have only cleric for that. So a bard, warlord, rune priest, artificer or shaman would be nice.
I suppose people will not be satisfied until they get something entirely new. Both guardian and the lore was partly available at conferences like PAX, so the impact is lesser.
Well, true... but didn't we have it at PAX, etc as well? We saw guardian fighter, maybe not all abilities, and we heard the story of the new quest zone.
I was not talking about small animals... nah, that's not exactly making it a living world, that was an old topic. I was talking about changes in the world. Like merchants having new item cuz of this caravan, etc.
Well then, I've got tiny question ;-) Is experience awarded only for battle/completing quests? Or is it possible to give experience for fulfilling certain tasks during a quest or for dialogues? Like for example the way it was in Planescape: Torment?
As I recall there was a rules considering male clerics of Lolth - after 6-10 level they were sacrificed for the glory of Lolth. Only female clerics were allowed to live further on. As for succubi - in FR there are many cases of demons/devils/celestials chaging sides. No big deal. An interesting digression:…
We've seen lots of demos of Neverwinter during various conventions, however, we've only seen trickster rogue, guardian fighter and control wizard. Ok, you don't have to show different classes, but I would really like to see other kinds of rogues cuz somehow I get the feeling only trickster rogue will be there.
If you want an Arcane Archer then the closest feel of it you can get from the Seeker class. Seeker is a primal class, but it's a controller with defender or striker as secondary roles. It basically enchants its arrows to do magic. An example of low level power would be Fungal Bloom that hits an enemy with an arrow,…
I would be annoyed. However, I would think that it probably was a misunderstanding since malice would be weird here. Anyway, yeah - welcome back. Always nice to have somebody more to argue...ekhem... discuss ;)
Also, in the interviews the devs say that there will be one server. Just one for all. So while I guess there might be translations of the game itself, the players will speak generally english or their mother language.
I think that it's not all... if you look closely there are huge gaps between 11 and 20 and then 30+, while in the beginning you get new spells every level or every 2nd level. On the other hand, you have to consider that 30 levels here is equal to 10 levels in Normal DnD, so 9 spells for 10 levels isn't that small.
Thay's cuz it's a "control wizard". It has a specific spell list. I never personally liked how they managed it - instead of wizard you need to choose specialization early on and don't have access to spells from others. Or at least it looks like that.
I'm a bit worried about this fight system... it looked at the video that the mobs were simply slow and unresponsive (waiting and doing nothing for some time before attack and then again...) and here we read that the fighting system was changed and now feels unnatural...
Is it me or the mobs attack speed is really slow compared to the player characters? And some more gameplays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Glh104w8rFs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHyR9zp4E38
