I've also read that the damage reduction is by design to "balance" lower level players in the tier. If that's true, who ever came up with that idea when they were designing PvP needs to be fired and never allowed to work in game design again.
This has been happening to me too since I started pvping. Bump it up because this is something that should have been fixed before open beta. Side note, the sound byte that plays when I jump is the sound of wolves going "Wrarghh! Warrgh! Wargh!" No idea how that happened.
Just finished five matches in a row, made it to level 47, and still am experiencing the damage reduction. Unless my opponent is a poor player and I can out play him, I can't with any well matched fights.
I suggest learning how to force your opponent to waste their dodges and figure out how to time your own more effectively to dodge CC. Pay attention to telegraphs. A good rogue is one who can dodge the right moves at the right time.
Tonight it was happening again. Level 38 and my moves were being reduced by 1/3 - 1/2. Then, still 38, my skills do full damage. Strange thing is that my friend, who is level 34, now has his moves reduced by 1/3 - 1/2 while my other friend, level 30, has nothing changed about his moves and they hit harder that my level 34…
The strange thing is that the values I listed were taken between two matches of pvp at the same level. Nothing about my character changed. This event has happened several times throughout all my levels.
I play a CW and all I do is PvP since level 10, I don't even know what adventure zones there are after the Tower District, and so far TRs are both the most threatening and the least threatening thing to fight. A good TR opponent waits for the telegraph and dodges my CC with good timing allowing him to dodge two CC attempts…
I've noticed that my position in queue follows a pattern similar to this: 16632 9532 16632 7142 16632 5102 16632 2149 is what it was a moment ago, 16632 is what it is now. I don't believe that your actual position in the queue is jumping around. If I'm right, then the issue is only in the number being displayed. If that's…
The point of the beta is to locate issues and solve them before the game goes live. A problem with the queuing system is just one of the issues this game has right now, in beta, pre launch. Sit tight, keep calm, move along, and wait it out. It will get fixed before too long.
Consider that there is likely hundreds of thousands of people trying to sign in all at once. You're only 7000th in line? Well that's not bad considering there is likely a hundred thousand people behind you.
Sign in just under an hour ago with no problems, sign out to take a shower, 10 minutes later sign in and get put in position 9001 of a queue, look down, look up, position 16059 <.<
