To answer your question. Yes. This isn't LoTR with huge areas and lots of wiggle room for all the players in an area.

You are probably lagging the hell out of the area. Someone pulled a dozen bandits on top of me yesterday and I ended up dying.

I was having these problems before neverwinter. So I think it is my router/modem I've been using for over 10 years : /

I am having similar issues. I will call my internet provider and get this router , modem thingy replaced. Hopefully that solves it.

Make sure they all disable on-demand patching. My character froze a couple times and died once because of it yesterday.

Playing mainly GWF and Wizard atm. I never consider any of my characters mains or alts though. I never had a liking for playing rogues or dex based classes. Arcane power of mages with versatility or brute power of barbarians where its at for me.

I right clicked on the N shortcut - properties - file location - reran the setup - at least I got the launcher window and it's updating now. Or it may just be teasing me again.
