I think 4th edition was a failed attempt to reach out to the World of Warcraft crowd and while i do see some good in the ruleset i see alot of bad. Every class uses the same rate of advancement, every class has the same chance to hit, best way to describe it is that it feels like its been balanced for pvp.
They said 60 days after launch for Drow.. the 20th was Launch day. They said nothing about new classes at launch aside from the fact that t hey were having problems with ranged missile attacks. Everything else said about classes, ie the Warlock, the two weapon Rangers, Drow on the 20th has been player generated not Dev.…
While it isn't constructive criticism it is a valid issue The stupidity wandering around gaming forums can be quite mind boggling at times and is one of the reasons why in most cases the Devs stay quiet. Players would much rather rant and rave about the information that they heard from a friend of a friend who knows…
Let the min/maxers have their race change as long as they don't start placing restrictions on who they raid with based on race and class choice. Sounds fair right? 4th edition imo is a result of WoTC basically giving the older edition rules away for free and while i am hoping that 5th brings the license back to its former…
From my own experience the support can be rather slow at times and by the time they do get to a person the situation has resolved itself, you have logged out of frustration or the time has passed. Also keep in mind that this can be used by guilds to grief players .. something i have seen in other games
A wipe would be a short term fix but really you cannot fix broken players and that is part of the problem. Of course they might have to take the game down for a week or two as well so they have time to track down and refund all the Zen that was purchased BUT you cannot refund game cards so what happens to those players ...…
The problem with all new MMO's is th endgame players really... they rush to the end in less then a week, maybe two and then spend the rest of the time complaining. You cannot create content for you type of players fast enough and expect to make any kind of profit. It is expensive to make endgame raids and dungeons…
Rift, Star Trek Online, Warhammer, the latest Star Wars (this one especially) is the future of the ESO. The game will not live up to the hype, the community will be toxic and as a result word of mouth will slowly kill an enjoyable game. That is the fate of ESO. The game won't have this from Wow, or it needs this from GW2…
4th edition was a total failure which is why Pathfinder is the leader and Wizards of the Coast has moved on to 5th edition. As for the game its going to be different from the current edition as they had to come up with a way to stretch the leveling out to give the game the "mainstream" mmorp feel (ya know the Wow style,…
People have been talking about spending 1000+ on Zen to play the astral diamond market and back in the old days people have paid 5000+ US for an account with a max level character. Wlcome to the real world where people throw thousands of dollars away every day on virtual items while turning up their nose at the McDonalds…

I used to like having my groups operate out of Waterdeep. From there one could travel almost anywhere and take part in almost any type of adventure. And then of course there is the Yawning Portal :D
