I found that i had to click the head in the top right, then had to log in, and then the promo code worked. Seems the Arc client can get into a odd state where you are shown as logged in but not treated as such at the server end.
I would not mind, if they just sorted out the spiky damage. Right now every **** fight is a game of russian roulette. There is simply no way to tell if the first hit will barely scratch you or instantly wreck you.
Seems there is a issue with dungeons as well: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?887011-PVE-dungeons-ran-several-last-night-for-hours-PVE-mobs-dealing-1Mil-Damage
For me one word sums it up, GRIND. This is a throwback to the <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> that was shanandar. Grind to unlock to grind to unlock to grind to unlock... What happened to the people that made Dread Ring, did they quit?! Cut the quest count required pr mini hub in half and double the pr quest XP award…
I don't think it is limited to WOD. While running around the shore i have found myself instantly wrecked by crabs of all things. 4 times out of 5 it will be just another trash mob fight. But then there will be one where every attack from those little critters do 4 digit damage. Almost as if there is some kind of hidden…
What is odd is that they have quests that do this right. you interact with a fixed object that can be shared between people running around, rather than a item that vanish upon interact and then have the a cooldown before respawn. Are they worried that people will camp one node?
Been thinking the same, but not the case. I can cast Harrowstorm again once Bargain hits as if Harrowstorm was never cast even though the animation starts playing. Hell, i could replace Bargain with Fiery Bolt and the outcome would be just the same (poor choice of example on my part i guess). The cast times are also making…
One annoying aspect of Harrowstorm is that you can interrupt it yourself by hitting another skill while it is being cast. This even though it does not get a cast bar of any sort. Say i want to drop both Harrowstorm and Warlock's Bargain on someone. If i hit Harrowstorm first and then Bargain while the Harrowstorm animation…
Biggest issue i have with these fights is that apparently their strongest swings are not flagged in the usual way. Both the warden and the alchemist have done massive hits to me that was barely indicated by them lifting the hilt above their head. But then i also find the green cultists a right pain because their "wave…
Lag seems to have gone from bad to insane. Had netgraph going during the dragons today, and watched the received number hit 5000000 (5 million) when i was not even close to the dragons (the time graph looked the a solid block of green). It was as if the whole zone was lagging whenever a dragon went down.
So far the only HEs i have seen to drop coffers upon completion are the dragons, and then only by being antisocial and going directly for the Red rather than running with the zerg. Beyond that the only coffers i have seen have been random drops within the 10 min cooldown.
Frankly i think someone goofed and managed get the dragon HEs confused with the other HEs spawning in the same location. This because frankly the mobs spawning to those other HEs seem to be insanely thick skinned for what is to be a 3-5 (medium) HE.
Its like watching a cloud of locusts descending on farmland. Was standing next to Red, waiting for the zerg to come over from Blue, got distracted by a respawning group of mobs (dread protector + white cultist + blue cultist, who comes up with these combos?!) and by the time i got done Red was dead. The health bar was…
Gotta agree with that. My first chest drop outside the basics was a dragon cult main-hand. From the unlocked chest no less. As such i don't think i'll be bothering with the keys much, as i can just as well run the unlocked chest on repeat. I just wonder why the bleep everyone is bypassing that last group of mobs, because…
Sadly not limited to the prize pig. My human CW rides the boar like he has a stick up his behind. Don't look to bad while idling, but when moving the arms come up without leaning forward.
Managed to remember to turn on netgraph while at the caverns today. Was hitting between 500 and 2000 received while idling before the dragon, hit 10000 to 20000 during the dragon. Seems anything above 10000 is lag central no matter what i set graphics to (5-6000 produce a "moving through syrup" kind of sensation).
Seeing that as well, and i am not sure what exactly is going on. Thing is that the 40 people cap is just a soft cap. party members can join a existing member even after the cap has been reached. As such, i think we are looking at organized farmers that spread out across multiple instances to find the nearest spawn time and…
Take a hike. The problem i am having is not the chance of failure, if i didn't accept that i can fail i would not be playing. The issue i am having is that while the shot is fine in a otherwise open fight, meaning that i have my own inattention to blame if i get shot, it is easily masked when i have multiple blacks, never…
For me the whites or the greens individually are not a problem. But i keep bumping into greens and whites in teams, and that becomes a mess right quick. Thing is that the greens, on top of their thorn AOE or whatever it is, have a hellishly powerful "wave motion" shot. Easily dodged one on one. But when frozen by a white…
I was pondering that after my last entry. Could be that what i have been experiencing is one guy in a party sitting at the instance, and the moment the dragon shows, the rest of the party join him. End result is that in seconds the place goes from "full" to full x5.
What is annoying for me is that while we are all standing there idling my framerate etc is just fine. But the moment the dragon lands and everyone starts spamming their stored up dailies and whatsnot it turns into a slideshow. Never mind that since IWD the targeting has become downright <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>.…
