Now I know the Dragon Encounters are supposed to be challenging, hell, the whole of Well of Dragons is supposed to be challenging, but the damage that the lizards do are insane!
Not the dragons themselves, but those poison spraying little lizards that come in groups of 4-5 while you're fighting the dragon. They effectively wiped out our band of players.
You can avoid the dragon attacks as they are extremely slow, but the lizards spray about 20' ahead in an area and hit for about 10k each.
It's absurd that these little things wipe out the party rather than the actual dragon. It's incredibly frustrating, and, in my opinon, absurd.
I don't think it is limited to WOD. While running around the shore i have found myself instantly wrecked by crabs of all things. 4 times out of 5 it will be just another trash mob fight. But then there will be one where every attack from those little critters do 4 digit damage. Almost as if there is some kind of hidden crit code running amok, except that the logs read as if it was just basic attacks. And no, these were not more than two levels above me.
WoD (and IWD) are now BIS only zones. sorry, get some gear and try again. you should have 120k HP min., all rank 12s, max level artifacts gear, all of it, etc... try again after that. sorry it's mod6 "the same, only HARDER", enjoy!

Guess I'll never get to pay these zones ever again, because I'm not going to pay this company another fine, and I'm to casual of a player to be able to get all this stuff.

I don't know about that, but the campaign content is endgame content. Your best chance of success is to come back when you've leveled up and gotten better gear.
With the new, post-60 stat curves, the bolstering mechanic actually makes your level 60-ish character weaker in every way other than HP.
