Name: Cults and Cultists ID: NW-DK68XQ2QO Author: @groshie Length: - (No plays yet, but should be 15-25 minutes long!) Well... According to Neverwinter Wiki: (http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Guide_to_the_Foundry) "Cryptic uses the Lower Bound of Wilson Score Interval to determine the rating of quests." And according to Wikipedia, that would be: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binomial_proportion_confidence_interval#Wilson_score_interval I'm…
I fully agree with that we would need some sort of new system to view and/or rate Foundry quests. I hope Cryptic is working on *something*, it would really make a great game even more awesome in my opinion.
No idea about this one actually. All my quests (my most played quest has over 100 plays and about 85 ratings) have an average rating of around 4.5 if I check in the Foundry, but their adjusted rating is still around 3 - 3.5.
This is true, but there's also the other side of the coin - I'm talking about the troll reviews that seem to be flourishing. It could of course be coincidence, but I find it weird that so many authors seem to recognize the problem and see a certain systematic pattern in their reviews. Hence me being a bit torn about the…
I'm a bit torn when it comes to leaving one-stars. One the one hand, if I feel a quest is wasting my time I'd much rather "ragequit" and do something better with my time and maybe send a PM to the author instead about what I felt could be improved if it's not obvious that they don't care... And yet on the other hand,…
Not really, but there is a /command that allows you to re-review the last played Foundry. I never seem to be able to remember the command when I need it, however. ;/
Yeah that's pretty much what I meant. :) Also, other than "Zone" in the Foundry you can also join the NW_Foundry channel so you can ask for more tips on how to build or if something in particular is confusing. The best way of learning in my opinion, other than creating maps yourself, is to try out other Foundry quests -…
Hey rayvell, welcome to the Foundry community! :) What exactly would you like to know? From what I can see in those pictures, you're off to a good start with making a custom cave or entrance to an underground hall though (assuming you're going to flesh the map out more so you can't see those flat parts of the map ground)!
I'll give "A Package for Valeren" a go and then I'll send you a PM when I'm done. :) If you want to try one of mine, be aware of that none of them (save the arena) contain much combat at all so if that's your thing then you should probably try the arena. ;) (Oh, and the arena is meant to be duo, but it is soloable with…
Another approach might be to just have one of the weakest encounter spawn and look like a bear so it'll die before the player realizes it didn't really have any animations. ;) (Just spawn the rest of the group below the map or something) I've seen a few weird bears (and other animals) though, like spitting spiders…
Also played and reviewed! Apart from what I wrote in the PM I also noticed the floating chest and the kobolds that spawn after a certain fight could use some patrolling, forgot to write that! Still, well done!
I'll give your quest a go as well! :) If you'd like to play any quest of mine you're welcome to as well, just if you pick the arena be aware of that it can be hard solo! I'll PM you with my thoughts when I've completed the quest.
If you'd like to give it a try, I've made an arena quest if you like that sort of thing. :) It has been tested and received mostly positive feedback. "Meowstroganoff's Arena", NW-DAVINSVJO. Hope you'll enjoy and may you reach 60 swiftly!
I'm going to start doing that soon as well. Also, if I'm working in the Foundry on a project, then I absolutely have to finish what I've started or I won't be able to sleep. Just keep thinking about stuff to put in... Where... How... And how many kitties I can fit into one map. O.o
I'm just going to throw in my vote here as a "Yes". Why? Because it's a positive change that will most probably make people a little bit happier on the whole.
We could trade, I've recently made an arena that you can try in return. :) It's called "Meowstroganoff's Arena", the shortcode is in my signature. It was recently hit by a few reviews that seem like trolls, but I'm curious about what more people think. I'll give your arena a go as soon as possible though! Edit: Played,…
Might be a late reply, but none of my quests contain much fighting at all. Except for Meowstroganoff's Arena and maybe The Tomb of Sarkath Han if you use the party mode activators. But other than that, just have fun if you try any of them! :)
