I haven't had the issues with lag that some people comment (and yes, Dalaran was bad), but I would think that's solved by instancing. After all, it's already been stated that all the shards are on the same server cluster, so they're all taking the same resources anyways. I am stuck on a different shard than my multi-game…
EverQuest has been "dying" since before Luclin came out. 14 years later, it's still alive and kicking. (Yes, I still play, myself.) Every game has its naysayers, but it doesn't mean a thing. In other news, about that shard merge... (I kid, I kid.)
Except that it's already been stated that the shards are nothing but shards of the same server cluster. So all the data is in one place already. I can't fathom any programming that would allow for easy merge of data within that cluster that wouldn't allow any easy toggle of data within that cluster. That and "it won't be…
