Congrats. None of these made any of my lists of best five or close. Judges choices I thought where both mechanically horrible, but map beautiful. Guess that was what the judges liked. The others are pretty good but the time they released was definitely a factor.
Nice review of the "Icy Depths of the Past.", the reason for the quotes on the title was it was taken from dialogue within the adventure. Building three story glaciers and all the effects I had used ate my budget for details badly on the glacier map. Plus was trying to stick with how it was described in the Salvatore books…
"And Justice for All." Is a seven part campaign. It takes 261 minutes according to averages it has a 4.29 overall rating with the final clocking in at a 4.65. It's a fully complete pen and paper type of adventure, that draws heavy on Salvatore and previous sword coast fr lore. Typing on my ipad or would let you know the…
The reason why is because it is a very popular class. People will come back to play it. Druid has never been as popular a class in dnd. When they did metric's on NWN 2 the most popular class by far was the paladin for first characters. the fact it can give you a alternative type of healing/tanking. Mostly I think it would…
Would love to see the new class in module five be the Paladin. With the current story line it would fit in to have paladins finally show their holy faces in Neverwinter. Its three lines could be simply placed into a Damage dealer(Vengeance Line), Tanking with group buffing (Crusader Line), and Healing (Holy Line). Graphics…
Well there has been a huge drop off from week one to week two, mostly according to my guildmates due to how sucky most of the foundry entries have been. On top of that if your featured during the invasion week, no one will be playing foundry they will be helping save the city from the cult with awards.....something the…
That's some **** nice positive press for all of us foundry authors. Now maybe we can finally have a foundry campaign system to get more players into playing foundry quests everyday.
Right now, this is by far the best system any game has yet to create that a layman could use. Neverwinter Nights had a better engine that could do more, but you had to be a much better coder. This also grants a much larger world wide audience. They have given us freedom, if inventive in the foundry to tell our own DnD Lore…
"The Icy Depths of the Past." It is tested and ready to go. Fits in very well with current campaign, and I believe its a fun adventure so feel free to feature it in first ten!
I have probably played more of the foundries for the contest then most. I can say that there is easily 10 that are better then the 10 minute kill quests that the five alliances grant you. The difference, they have cool boss fights, better drops, tons of chests, and campaign resources. They should really reward the winners…
I think its just completion so the grind ones wont be anymore popular. My true ideal for players to see the foundry would be a campaign system with boons. Doubt that would happen, but if we could get a few more players to try the foundry during the contest it gives a larger sampling to have the most balanced scoring out…
I really like the idea of a rotation and feature, however you really should play some of them and make sure you aren't putting forth a featured module that is AWFUL. One really bad featured usually makes players run and hide. If you want players to actually play and vote. I recommend that you have Dragonborn tokens appear…
Actually in my sampling most people gave very good efforts into trying to make the best foundry they could. I saw only 1 that appeared to be a 40 mobs on the map grinder. There was a few noticably better then others, but honestly I think most people came into this trying to win. Now that said some really bad modules have…
Nope you two aren't the only ones! I have it in mine "Icy depths of the Past." And in my many plays saw it another time or two as well. Wish I was near a good computer to try the two of yours, I likely will once I'm back home.
Truth is there have been so many entries into the contest I doubt there will be a fair way to judge them. I haven't been able to play any in two weeks but I did review 15 or 16 and I doubt the devs have that kind of time. So, in all likely hood it will come down to the rating system. There will be 1 star ratings and I am…
Review Attack of Cult of Dragon!!!: Overview: Avoid it, its bugged and cannot be completed. Its first objective is to kill 28 of the same group of kobolds. One is stuck in a wall. Thank god my book imp could teleport inside the wall to finish it off....then says find secret room....I went o every wall throughout the…
Review: Temple of the Dragon Overview: This is a straight dungeon crawl with no dialogue at all. It uses quest devices to tell you what's next. It has a challenging design using height mechanics and knock back mobs to create difficulty instead of random mob stacks. Its maps work well and is a three part well designed…
Check your quest reiwulf. I found the kid, got the key and could not progress from there. I found your hidden section with author text, I found what looked like should have been the sewer entrance for the monster. I could not progress past the mansion as I could find no evidence to get in. Maybe I am just a moron, nice map…
Tomorrow is my last day of doing reviews for a month. Might need some other talented, experienced authors to help out! I mean lets face the truth, if we present ten GREAT modules for the community to play it may just mean we all get more foundry love in the end. I know all of the regular authors all have their groups to…
Review: A Game of Dragons Overview: A simple story and nice dungeon crawl to follow. Has some nice set of fights and uses a few of the pre pop maps well for its objective in the beginning. Leaves a couple of lose ends to wrap up, might lead to a part 2. Maps: Maps are mostly pre pop or drag and drop dungeon sections. They…
Review(Partial): The Legend of Bantheran Short code: NW-DFGGUD8UH Overview: This is a long, long module that is well put together but has some challenges at times that are not easily seen that might frustrate your average gamer. It is a very interesting module with really good looking unique "Quest Hub" area's to explore.…
Review: The Evil Dragon Yukallix ID: NW-DRVQVCV9E Overview: This is a straight dungeon crawl with some good spawning mechanics. There is a hint of a story that could really be fleshed out to make this a much more complete adventure. As it stands now, it feels rushed and like the author had more ideas to build but just…
It is going to happen. A few of the really bad quests I have played so far that are literally just a straight dungeon killing 10 cult of the dragon spawn are rated higher then some of the best. I think all the authors are trying very hard to win this contest and sadly the mechanics of it can lend to some jealous ratings or…
Contest Review of: Shadows of Purple Wings V1.3 Short code is: NW-DTQ9BEEQQ Overview: This is without doubt one of the better written modules in the contest. If you like reading well written dialogue, and have roleplaying options for your character this will be a module for you. It's combat is extremely difficult for…
Review:" The Errors of Our Ways Code: " NW-DGDHCJVF4 " Overview: A possible defector in the Cult leads you into a dungeon crawling adventure. This is a combat heavy dungeon crawler that is pretty well done with only a few minor errors. NPC's: There are a few moments more interaction would have been nice watch the Peasant…
Would love to see others help as well. Just trying to give some life to this forum :P It certainly will mean I will receive some very negative reviews of my mod for being honest and trying to help the others in the contest. That Said next review Wrath of the Dragon by Evanders111 Overview: This mod takes you to a small…
Review of: The Dragon's Prize NW-DLVIDYP25 By: docsc00ter Overview: A strong well connected adventure that fits well within the foundry's limits and the contest given. This will certainly be a contender for the victory with a few neat elements that I was glad to see put into the module. Its lore is very good, the story is…
