Thanks. I could easily see it being Xmas before that patch is made to PS4, given that the game has not been out long for the platform. Where is your source that mod 10 will be out that soon for PS4? I've only seen official news that if it is being released in the next few weeks for PC only.

yeah being able to pull a pack of a 12+ mobs and burn them slowly over ~90 seconds i suppose is not much more diff to burning 3-4 in 10 secs then waiting 10 to engage the next group. Just feels slow when you're watching the red bars reduce so slowly compared to group content!

shieldmaiden looks better than the hound tbh. I just haven't been lucky enough to come by one (or had it high enough up my priority list to work for it!). My active list is galeb duhr, (dmg buff scaled off dmg taken), dread warrior, rust monster, and blacksmith

The general advice seems to be to leverage Companion's Gift using a companion with a full on defensive slot setup. I've found best results with a Portal Hound, but haven't tried them all. It's slow progress levelling those bonding runestones up (and upgrading the quality of the companion), but well worth it. Ackter's post…

We're at mod 9 on PS4. You want to focus on getting your DR (damage resistance) as high as possible, so you're looking at defense and AC as the two stats to stack first.
