The quests have a bad habit of disappearing off the right hand side for me, I just usually go into the journal and retrack it.

Be sure to do your missions, join a guild that's willing to run you through stronghold heroics that will help you level up.

I have also noticed swapping out some of the enchants to rank 12 has made my overall stat for armor pen power etc actually seem to be doing less damage now, idk it's kinda wonky.
