Ok I'll bite. What is your proposed solution? No time constraint? We'll get loads of meaningless click-here-and-win 'quests'. Rewards proportional to time spent in quest? Sounds good on paper, but we'll get filler quests, designed to let players just AFK or run around for whatever time to maximize loot. Rewards…
I don't think Cryptic or Perfect World is making this game 'free to play' out of the goodness of their hearts. You can play for free, and that for me, is way better than a mandatory $15 a month.
Thanks for the reminder. I've read somewhere that it was in radians, but promptly forgot while actually using the Foundry. Will save many a lot of trial and error.
Third attempt: progress bar ... is ... barely ... moving ... Edit: Ah, seems like others are also having the same problem. Looks like Spendrall will retire early tonight and try again tomorrow!
Spendrall loves a good dagger mystery. However the investigation seems a little ... linear to the fledging tiefling mage. Perhaps some red herrings, and some clues so that future mystery solvers can figure out who to speak to by themselves? Spendrall is also having trouble loading up the back alley map, the one after the…
Spendrall has just saved the world from Bonderleaf's Thorough Aggregator (NW-DBFUDMT8L, by mrthebozer) and he totally loves it! Great puzzle elements, fantastic bespoke environments (wished sound and music was working), great dialogue, good characters and it even includes a hilarious easter egg hunt. Spendrall totally…
Have mobs spawn or despawn based on dialogue choices :) General consensus is that it's better to despawn if the player chooses the easy option, because you might inadvertently make your quest too hard if you did the converse.
You're welcome! You might also want to include a bit of exposition in the beginning as to why you're sending the player to this house. I was wondering why ... until I read the quest description. And I can't seem to scroll down the description in my journal. Dang bugs.
Spendrall is impressed with the well-decorated house, but is dismayed to tangle with drow and spiders again! (seems to be many authors' favourite bad guys; not your fault :) ) The tiefling mage shivers at the thought of assembling the McGuffin rod -- to control dragons! But he's a little puzzled with the seemingly random…
Spendrall had lots of fun looking for Liz! Great range of dialogue choices, and believable reactions from NPCs. A solid 5-star quest! Now Spendrall must retire to memorise his spells. Oh wait. Wrong ed.
Spendrall is now off to Black Hand Inn, to catch miscreants (?) red-handed! The tiefling mage makes a mental note to stock more healing potions; he nearly succumbed to an undignified demise in the earlier encounters with the evil drow!
Spendrall has recovered The Warblood Art of War! But he doesn't like to be typecast as a bloodthirsty killer at the end. Bad for Tiefling rep, you know, even if they're drow :)
