People have been challenging the heralds but it is extremely rare for people to kill more than 2 or 3 before they run out of time. Also, really tough minions seems to spawn during the dragon fight now as part of the encounter. Usually you need a few tanks to go after those to keep them off the dragon fighters. I have seen the white dragon attacked and killed several times even with the new mod but this mostly seems to be a result of some players not realizing yet that the new starting dragon has changed. If you watch the chat box you will without fail start seeing the more organized players telling you to come to X instance and to start at green dragon. The green dragon is now considered the starting dragon, more people attack it than any other color. If you want to do heralds, show up on an instance with a high population and head to the green dragon. Don't expect to get to kill more than 2 or 3, these dragons are much harder than they used to be. If for some odd reason nobody is at green, check black and white or move to an instance with a greater population.
I so agree with this! I liked Neverwinter before the mod. Now NeverSoul is just a painful example of a game that kills any love I had before. I don't mind a challenge but when I die more times from 60-70 then from 1-60 times 10 there is an issue!
My short story: I had played with couple of former school friends for over 20 years PnP DnD, when some of them got bored or real life issues came up and some left our little club. So i came home one Saturday evening and typed in Google search: "some type of DnD game". It has thrown this game out and i downloaded it right away and fell in love at first sight. Everything i wanted, good story line, nice action combat and i found new friends soon. This was nearly 2 years ago. I never missed a day, only when my health didn't allow me to sit in front of the monitor.
Now since Mod 6 i have lost nearly all in game friends and game is utterly boring. I have done all the campaigns on all my active toons and i have really nothing to do besides leveling each of them up to 70, which is a pain both to my DnD specific senses and to my body and soul.
I am done now with 1 toon, have her fully PVP geared and have all the pieces for the Elven PVE type gear, but here we come to the first disaster, IWD and the one shot trash mobs.
My other toons are also on the way too 70, but i have to take a big break before each round, cause it really sucks my brain dry.
But if i am done with it, what the heck shell i do, we have nothing, not a campaign, not a new map, no new dungeons, on the contrary, we have lost many, no new skirmishes, Foundry also dead, no incentive to do that, no new PVP maps and as much as i like PVP, even with it's huge problems, i can't do it every time.
I really wish the Devs would read a good history book and learn some strategic thinking and i hope every day for a roll back, which of course will remain a dream, they will never do it, it would be another PR disaster. My biggest problem, that through my work i know, that this is such a huge mess, that it takes very long time and a very dedicated and highly skilled team to repair, while keeping the game actively running with the current setup of things. On the other hand something needs to be done quick, cause even the hard core players are losing hope day by day.

The human race is a herd. Here we are, unique, eternal aspects of consciousness with an infinity of potential, and we have allowed ourselves to become an unthinking, unquestioning blob of conformity and uniformity. A herd. Once we concede to the herd mentality, we can be controlled and directed by a tiny few. And we are.

My party and I have been doing Icewind Dale dailies/skirmishes (1600+ gear?) to get the needed requirements to get alliance raid gear to craft it to elven raid gear and have found it to be way to hard for a party with required gear - seems you need 2000+ gear to get your 2000+ gear or a party with 2000+ gear already
what you meant to do, just keep dying ?
I think the 1600+ gear skirmishes and dungeons should be doable with standard 1600 gear, any dev feedback on this would be great

There is "Hard" and then there is "WTF?"
