seriously, it already means Original Post(er) or Overpowered

i doubt we will get another paladin anytime soon, so just call it Paladin, or use Protadin / Healadin or whatever to describe the build :D

    But OP, OP's are OP.

You'll have to excuse me, I don't know why I find this as funny as I do.

On a serious note, in my head I've been thinking of them as HOP and POP.

Not a fan of calling the Paladin with the short term OP. I'm fine with just using Pally.. or maybe even just OB for oathbound.

I wonder if "op" was not a little dig at the playerbase by the devs. I mean they HAVE to know what the acronym means.

It comes right out of the source material, as do all the classes in Neverwinter. They're designing within a set framework.

Every other class has a 2 letter acronym used to quickly identify a class. I am not going to write out extra letters to say paladin or pally when i am looking for a group or whatever when i can simply say OP and within the context everyone will understand what i mean

It's why I like HOP and POP for them to be honest. For groups people will need to know spec, and dividing them this way just makes sense to me. Plus it reminds me of Dr. Seuss, which you know...

It's about *context*. The OP claims OP is OP. Get it?

If "OP" can mean "Original Post" *and* "Over-Powered" why can it on also mean "Oathbound Pladin"? It's all about context.

So, I can tell a healer pally who isn't paying enough attention to the tanking pally: "HOP on POP!"

You mean they didn't know that for DC, LOL or RP already have alt meanings? Obviously whoever over there is in charge of naming things doesn't sit down and see what the possible abbreviations to these will be before throwing them at us.

I was playing my DC in LOL, then it started rubberbanding and acting weird and it made me LOL.....then i DC'd.

This actually makes sense. I'd just put the paragon after the initials, though: OPD and OPP. And that would prevent the confusion for the OP except for OP, so OPD and OPP would work well. Er, I mean Original Post except for Over-Powered. LOL

    OBP = Oathbound Paladin
DOP/OPD = Oathbound Paladin of Devotion
POP/OPP = Oathbound Paladin of Protection

    That's for me.

OP complains that OP is confusing with OP? Pffft. It's OP, so OP needs to deal with it.

    I will always use:
    OP
    OPP
    OPD
