1 of each cache every day (18h) ... so CC, ToS or WD and then MC,VT or ELOL ... what is in this caches??!

If you played the new dungeon (I have not) an received such a pile of <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> from the "new daily reward system"... I will ignore the copper, drop the pearl and burn the tome ^^

If I remember correctly Cache of the Elements contains Seals of the Elements, which are used to purchase ilvl130 BoA gear.
Cache of the Protector contains Seals of the Protector, which are used to purchase ilvl135 BoP gear (that can be further upgraded to ilvl 137 gear via crafting).
Cache of the Protector gear is currently the highest quality equipment available in the game (at the time of writing).
Does it have a set bonus of any sort? And are there any other ways to obtain these seals that are not limited to a one per day drop?

"beckylunatic" Gateway AH should have column headers to sort by buyout, bid, end time, quantity, etc. These disappeared iirc with the module launch. It's obnoxious.

Second, please tell me that you can also get this gear as drops in the new dungeons? I think its a great idea to have tokens to buy gear as an alternative if you get unlucky drops but I do still want there to be gear dropping. Drop gear would still need crafting to improve it to 137 of course

it would be good if BoE too. Cause eventually you will grind over too much caches. At least in this case you can grind for alts or to sell if you have profession open
Also what professions it will use ?
First we need 1800 seals to get a set of Elven Assault gear or Elven Raid gear.
Then we need to rank up Black Ice Shaping to rank 5, which requires a total of 75k Black Ice and 15 Unified Elements - and remember, you can only process raw black ice 3000 a day, unless you pay for more gauntlets.
Then we need another 39k Black Ice and 9 Unified Elements to craft the gear up to Elemental Elven Assault or Elemental Elven Raid gear.
Yikes.
And it's no easier to make the lower tier Elemental Alliance gear: you still need 1800 Seals of the Elements to get the lower grade Alliance gear, rank 5 Black Ice Shaping and the 39k BI and 9 Unified Elements to craft it to Elemental Alliance level.
Edit: and all of it is BoP, so every single alt will need to gather all those seals and all that black ice and craft it.
and all that to get from Item lvl 135 to 137 ! LOL great motivation .

rank 3->4 needs 600 exp, which is done with one quest at rank 3, this quest needs 50k BI itself. Now, since probably no one have unified elements we cant even guess if this quest is repeatabe. Anyway. Quest which becomes avialable at rank4 gives ONLY 300 exp itself. Do u rly belive that rank3->4 needs 600 exp, while rank 4-> needs ONLY 300? i dont think so. Its unreasonable. Now i would guess it needs 900 or 1200 exp. in best case scenario only 600.
Its not 75k BI, but much, much more.
Start thinking before u start guessing.

You're a bully and you've misidentified the value that's out of place, which has lead you to a false conclusion.
So pve players have to go through all this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> to get BiS gear while pvp players can pre farm their glory and seals right now during module 5 and buy a full BiS pvp module 6 set 10 minutes after module 6 goes live , yeah that sounds legit.
That is incorrect. Loot in Cragimire's Crypt, Temple of the Spider, and Gray Wolf Den is item level 132.
RE: Set Bonuses
Set bonuses have perpetually been a problem and at this time we want them to be rarer and more interesting. We are currently looking at other options for how to handle set bonuses, but no top tier equipment will have set bonuses yet.
Gentlemancrush , is any new pvp currency being added to prevent pvp players being able to get hold of full lvl 70 gear sets within a few minutes of module 6 going live due to them being able to pre farm glory and seals.
Seems really odd that your forced people to rank up a crafting task related to a module that's almost a year old.

Get rid of set bonuses. PLEASE. It restricts gear layouts. Gear should be free and open ti mix n match gear. I remember hitting 60 for the first time and I was so torn on what gear to equip, I had too many options! Then I discovered Stalwart Bulwark set bonus was SUPER OP and was forced to gear in 4/4.
PLEASE REMOVE AND DO NOT EVER GO BACK TO SET BONUSES:
INCLUDING: PVP GEAR, WEAPON SETS, EVEN ARTIFACTS/ARTIFACT EQUIPMENT!!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with this IMO. No new currency needed. What we DO need is a cheaper set lvl 70 for glory only that can be much weaker than the new sets.
I agree with getting rid of ridiculous OP set bonuses , maybe replace them with minor bonuses that come on the overload enchantments so you can mix and match the gear you want then choose the overload bonus instead of being railroaded into one BiS set for 5 modules lol
you might want to write a seperate blog discussing loot decisions for mod 6. Right now it looks like you get the best gear (135) from tokens. We can assume that you will sell something in the zen shop to get tokens fast. Or run dung (same dung we used to run) for a much slower way to get tokens. I am not sure this is going to go over well.
I would love to be able to pick my set bonus similar to how you can pick the class feature bonus on the off hand. Frees up alot of builds

I used to fall into more of your camp on this one. I am honestly just sick of them though. It changed my mind pre-module 3. I was grinding for my Profound PVP set on my GF. I had 3 of the 4 pieces, but could I use it? Nope. The 3/4 set provided no value to me, it was only with the full 4/4 set bonus that it became valuable.
Also, it was VERY limiting in build choices, I did have 3 sets to choose from but all featured the same stats. The best "gear experience" I had in this game was WAY back before sets were even that common. Im talking just a few days into the open beta. Players were LUCKY to get a full 4/4 set setup. Most players mix n mathche gear, the options were open.
I VERY Much like removing set bonuses. Now that we have overload slots I would much rather overload slots be the new "set bonuses". This frees up gear choices to whatever you want.
Want a 2pc PVE set 2 pc PVP set? Go for it, your not diminished by that.
The other thing is there was some DECENT SEEMING gear pre-module 1 from professions, the craftable armor offered good raw stats but due to set bonuses noone ever wore them.
I see very very little value in forcing players into set bonuses. The best itemization I think you can have is an open canvas to compile pieces together to fix a specific build, not being forced into X spec because thats the best gear to get.

This change will not have any effect on pve because it is fundamentally different from pvp so this is written from a PVP perspective.
While i like the idea of not having to trade off a good set bonus for a more optimal stat allocation what making set bonus rarer means is that the items with set bonus are going to be so expensive that a lot of people won't be able to get them. If we assume that the only end game gear with set bonuses is the artifact/artifact gear set bonus then all these items that make those sets will be very expensive b/c they provide a boost that someone else has no way to counter in any form because they have no set bonus. Right now every class has fairly easy access to additional boosts in "power" through the use of a unique set bonus that they can use. since everyone has a set bonus it is relatively balanced apart from the fact that some set bonuses are better then others.
With the artifact/artifact gear set bonuses though there are issues. Currently as it stands there are some set bonuses that are going to be really strong for 1 or 2 classes, (like the valindra's set bonus of 15% control bonus and 10% control resist) but nothing of similar strength for other classes. So now we have the same imbalance in artifact set bonuses that we had with gear set bonuses except that the artifact set bonuses are going to be very expensive to obtain, or require potentially months of farming (as drop rates currently stand)
What i am getting at here is that either you need to make these set bonuses common enough that everyone can get them, and have enough of the set bonuses that all classes have 3-4 useful choices, or you need to nerf the current ones to a point where all set bonuses are equal so that they are not a item that makes one class clearly superior to another.
We are searching for slave labor, will pay with food from our farm!
I will continue my plan for my current build then, glad to know I don't need to worry about changing Armor Sets!
PS - I am referring to PVE, not PvP! :cool:
