Wait... are they adding this, or are you saying it *would* be nice if they added this?

it should be overpriced so imho to maintain some sort of balance at a price of 10k zen is cool

. . . I'm really looking forward to this. My main character, 'Old Zeb' was supposed to be Moon Elf (as he was human then got reincarnated into a Moon Elf), but when I stated, there was no moon elf so I re-wrote his biography just for Neverwinter. I'd love to do a race change on him to make him how I have him as an NPC in my PnP Campaign. As for pricing, I feel it should be comparable to the Respec Token, mayhaps about 1.5x the cost of a Respec Token. If it's too expensive, I won't use it on any other character.

That's like $100 , you do realize they plan on actually selling them don't you? at$100 dollars each it would be like the bigger badder version of the Coalescent ward in the zen store now , lol $100 dollars .
Well, the current respec token is 300 Zen, so I feel 450 Zen would be good. I'd even probably pay 600 to 1,000 Zen. More than that though and I'd be reluctant to. My guess? It will probably be between 750 to 1,500 Zen. I hope I am wrong and it will be cheaper. I don't see any reason for the price to be adjusted in regard to balancing. There is nothing this would unbalance. Saying that is like saying a Moon Elf is unbalanced because he's not a Human.
Remember folks, if you test this Race Change token out, post your feedback in the Preview Forums instead of here. The current discussion is fine here, so far. Thanks!
The wait for the option to hide enchantments and shirt/pants drags on.
Enchantments, no. Shirt/pants, yes!
Professions: There are new "Emperor's" Uncommon Shirt and Pant items for all classes. They are invisible to the naked eye and come with a Free Appearance Change to transmute onto any existing Shirts and Pants. They require Level 18 of the respective profession, 25,000 Astral Diamonds, a Dragon Egg and Ornate Pants or Shirt as appropriate.

Edit- Erk. Guess I should have refreshed before posting.
If I am understanding what he says later.. we may have to redo appearances in order to change abilities.. which means the new pinched plastic look, and totally losing who we've been for the last year.
I hope I am reading wrong, or if not, that they rework that.

Your appearance will be preserved if you choose the same race, there will be your appearance preset that is selected by default (fix isnt in this build yet).
It even shows your current armor the whole time instead of the basic armor first level characters start with.

No way it's less than 20 dollars, a name change is 400 zen by itself right?
However, a full power/feat/ability points (not your base one) respec is 300 zen. Its up in the air how much this will cost.

Given that the Race Change Token is a combination of the Rename Token and the Change Appearance Token with additional functionality on top of it, I can't see this costing less than 750 Zen (because the other two added together cost 600 Zen).

As long as race changes aren't used for RP cheese - okay.
A fairy cannot become a dragon that changes into a werewolf that gets cured to evolve into an elf that finds out they are a drow actually then turns into a vampire.

But a dragon can polymorph into many different things. A wish spell could be used to change race. It could also be a simple retcon of the character.

My weapon enchanted deathknel scythe is completely ruined. The normal was black with green gems, matched my black outfit, now it turned purple with a plaguefire in it.
YES...i was waiting for it SO much!!!
i will be saddened if its gonna be too overpriced though
Not to single you out specifically, but I think that this will be the complaint of many who were asking for this exact thing. I'm going to go so far as to predict that I'll be able to bathe in the tears of people who yelled loudest about "needing" this sort of thing, yet are unwilling to pay the price PWE sets for it (and I'll gaze into a crystal ball and say 1500 Zen, as an aside).

Am I misunderstanding?
The Emperor Shirt hides shirt/pants, doesn't it?

As for the race etc change token no more then 450 zen. Most things have been over prices or OUT PRICED for a lot of players.
I cannot call these micro transactions based on the current prices

Thank you thank you thank you for finally putting this in!!!
... now im suddenly getting the feeling of something else.... why did they put this out NOW...?
i smell a dragonborn race coming soon
