Hello,

I was just now checking out the upcoming event called Coins of Waukeen, and when I looked at the picture where it says "Here’s a sneak peek at one of the rewards" was my first thought:

Wow, I can win a house??

What would you rather have? The house or (more likely) the costume?
Stay frosty.

    The house.

It will be a really cool feature to have the ability to build your own house (the interiors).

Anyway, it's almost definitely the costume that the reward is about.

    Gee, what a nice picture.

Why didn't they make a promotional picture with one of those amazing new and upgraded character models?

As far as I can say the drow is old ugly model, show the players the amazing new melted plastic look.

Really, since the new models are so great why don't they use them for promotion?

it's not the costume, that's one of the 'normal' rogue outfits, it's the dyes

If it's gonna be the same as last time you could get dyes and golden pantaloons (by far my favourite fashion item, i've been wearing them non-stop since october 2013, whenever i check my armour my friend tells me it's weird seeing me with a shirt on lmao)

there are also teleport scrolls that get you to moonstone mask (i still have like 5 of them left) and rough AD
i don't remember what else, but there's more things you can get i think

It would be super neat if they gave different rewards this time tho

I just hope they fix the mid level HE's in time for the coins of Waukeen , that'll make for some serious grinding xD

lmao whenever such events come up there are always 'grind foundries' created where you just fight a buncha constantly spawning weak zombies.
Last year someone actually made a pretty fun grind foundry for this event, i wonder if it'll still be around this year.

Nice, I just got rid of all my leftover Waukeen items. Blessed Gold Dyes were selling for 10k and Strongboxes and Chests for 100 and 200k. Time to restock!

The foundries are good for a while but personally I find they get tedious after so many runs but each to their own , mid range and epic HE's though are where it's at , a chance for basic black ice gloves and basic black ice mainhand plus black ice crafting mats plus the waukeen drops = yippeee , just need to see if they nerfed the drops like they did with Gift of Tymora , i'm guessing they did , last time I cashed out good style .

So there is no new items? I was expecting a new item such as Waukeen's Profession Enchantment, similar to Tymora's Lucky Enchantment.

We know for sure that the dyes will be included.

    I'd prefer new items

I'd prefer not new items, since the second Tymora's was frankly HAMSTER compared to the first. Coin was the only thing worth anything at all, and it had such a HAMSTER droprate it was nigh pointless to farm.

The most important question: Are golden pantaloons easy to get...? RNG fails me every time in this game.

The intent of the Advert. couldn't be more clear:
    You win an ELF.

Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. You win the ability to create an elf with the pre-plastic look.
I wasted five million AD promoting the Foundry.

At this point, there is a very good way to know what prizes will be included. Look at the ingame calendar.

I do not like the "up to" that has been added before the rough astral diamond rewards.

Yeah, nerfing the RAD is bound to happen for this event....

So now instead of going through RNG to have a chance at getting RAD, when you get it, it might not be the maximum value...So technically, you can get lesser RAD in a Treasure Chest than a Strongbox...If that happens, I'll be getting some popcorn ready and see the forum explode. :D

Apart from the RAD nerf, the number of coins are also nerfed in both strongboxes and treasure chests. Also, the profession resource in treasure chests has been nerf to rare and epic instead of just epic before...

I only just used up all of my rough ad on my dc from the rough AD jackpot. It was an insane amount (though maybe the odds made it a decent amount?). Though my cw is still sitting on 437k rough ad (it's going down since I've not been farming, it makes me sad :c).

    Everything is being nerfed:
rewards, chance rates, AD rewards, AND lastly, drop rates of purses.
Come on... it's just rough AD. I'm still refining the the 500k i got from the last waukeen event and i haven't even been playing much or going out of my way to do long dailies either.

Really is no difference, as the last one had a range of AD going from 8k to 200-some-k RAD. I could just as easily say that you could win up to X-amount from the last event.

I'm sure they'll be no difference just like the tymoras one wasn't much of a difference.

There is a huge difference between getting 256k RAD in treasure chest and getting up to 256k RAD in that same chest. The former is getting a fixed 256k RAD when you get RAD from the chest, the latter is getting anything from 1k RAD to 256k RAD when you get RAD from the chest. So to get maximum RAD in the upcoming event, you have to go through RNG and get lucky twice.

Do we know the drop rate? Perhaps this change is account for a drop rate change? Seriously, arguing over free AD is quite peculiar and arguing over things we don't know is even worse.

I am not arguing about anything, just stating changes they are making to the event. And yes, perhaps the drop rate might change too, but we will have to wait and see if it is for the better or worse.

And we know, nothing is really for free.
