Isn't there normally an announcement/forum/news-story listing them???

Sheesh, you guys are bloodthisty! (Don't ever change! :D)

Currently featured we have (in no particular order):

    - Danger in the Sky by @Sc00teR
    Short Code: NW-DN3MXEZSR
I really liked the dialogue in this one as well (I'm a sucker for a good story). I also liked the diversity it brought the featured list, since a lot (but not all) of the things I've been liking have had some horror elements to them. A fantastic follow-up to an amazing first chapter.

    - The Absence of Light by @eskarine
    Short Code: NW-DHQ6A7YRL
Wonderful use of story and dialogue. Props on calling out Myst as an inspiration behind this quest. I am a huge Myst fan; I played it when I was, like, 5 and had nooo idea what I was doing, but I loved it! It definitely helped made some of the more challenging aspects of the adventure feel more...right.

    - Brightstone II: The Hunt by @Dark_T_Zeratul
    Short Code: NW-DPKG5Z8DR
What got me (again) was the dialogue. It really adds that extra oomph when it comes to making a story come alive.

    Congrats to all the winners!

Heh. I'm sure you are totally swamped with the IWD module 3 release .... so we'll let it slide.... this time.

Glad that you guys find it enjoyable :) It's definitely not a typical foundry quest and it feels awesome when your efforts are appreciated. I didn't really believe I could actually be featured when I submitted it, it was more of a desperate effort to finally get the quest to show up in the catalog, heh (it's been bugged ever since I first published it).

I've been wondering if my foundry is still in the feature candidate pool or if it has already been passed (or removed by some glitch). I remember quite a lot of people have played it already - I waited until I thought it was worthy of being featured (fine tuned/many reviews).

The title is: The Doomguides' Folly

Any update possibly? I remember submitting it in the "dry" feature period of Late February, early March.

Give it a tweak, add a few details, some special effects, update, publish, resubmit.

Not that it needs any of those - haven't played it myself, but there's always a little fresh paint that can go somewhere.

You could pm Akromatik about it.

He did mentioned that he is willing to look through foundries and give feedback if we pm him, in another thread which was closed.

I'll try these during the weekend, I already played danger in the sky a while back and I loved it.

Wow! Thanks for the Feature! :)

I just got back from a couple weeks' vacation to see that "Danger in the Sky" was on the list, which is really exciting. And it finally pushes me to "Moonstar Agent," with only 1 Achievement to go before becoming "Moonstar" (heh... it's the 1 million AD in tips thing... so I'll wait patiently...). I was also delighted to find that I can now ride around on my shiny new purple Silverback Bear (unarmored, with a silver fur stripe down its back) and have that beautiful purple 20-sided die Ioun Stone floating 'round all my characters' heads. Very cool!

I've nearly finished another "Danger of Dumedalot" quest, but have been kind of sluggish because the plot is still lacking something. I want to find a way to put in a humorous twist, but it keeps coming out either "cheesy" or "gosh, that's really dark!". And there are at least 2 more in the series that have had some work done to them, so I'll keep plugging away. :D

I just logged on and noticed my foundry was featured, which was really exciting to see. I loaded it up to give it a try in its feature state and ran into a critical bug that broke the foundry :(... Quite a horrific situation and I'm wondering if its a 1 in a 1000 chance of occurring.

    Small Spoilers Ahead

The bug I ran into was a Monster agroing the player behind a locked door, preventing the player from opening the door or interacting with anything nearby... It can be easily fixed by having the monster spawn when the door is unlocked but I don't think I can edit the "feature" version. Now that I am aware of this type of bug, there are 4 instances where I can see the bug kicking in (including the one I ran into)
    1. Spider Agro behind first locked door
    2. Wight Agro behind second locked door (this is the one that jammed me)
    3. Helmed Horrors behind third locked door
    4. Ice Golems in the third Rogue only room.

*on replay, it seems its hard/impossible to reproduce. It may have been caused by my armor fire enchant shooting the monster behind the door. Tried running up against the door, attacking through it, etc... So it was a weird 1 in 1000+ chance of happening, which can be fixed by re-entering the map. That scared me thinking it was broken for everyone running it!

Unfortunately, this is why I no longer submit my Foundry works for Featuring, because somehow it became a good idea to make the featured copy un-editable. This is a horrible idea, in which post 42 is a prime example of why. I understand it was done to prevent Featured missions from being changed to an exploit mission after it attained its featured status however this is still no excuse to make them un-editable especially with so many game-breaking bugs affecting the foundry every patch.

If you're going to have a Featured system, police them yourselves instead of taking away features that ensure they work properly for your customers that you are Featuring them for. Yeah, this topic bites on a nerve.

Having just played Cragsteep Crypt with my ranger a couple days ago, and not being able to finish, I have to agree with your point. Though I still submit stuff for featuring, and just hope it doesn't break.

It was a weird rare bug. I tried to recreate it and couldn't.

From now on I'll always put in my quest, "if this quest gets featured please play the non featured version, in case the featured one has a bug, I won't be able to fix it." Just in case XD

who decides the criteria for featuring? I am just wondering, because 9 outta 10 of the quests on the feature list are really not that great. My campaign The Root of All Evil is just as feature worthy, if not more than the offerings on the list. Who judges these quests? Is there someone I can bribe? I submit my quests, only to later see sub par work get picked. Seems off to me

No bribes needed. If you think your quest is fit for featuring PM me the title and code and I'll have a look :)

Um, you did also click on the "Submit to Cryptic" (for featuring) button, right?

Just logged in to do my Icewind Dale dailies and saw the achievement "Featured I" pop up. Thanks!

Congrats to all the Featured Foundry authors! Due to an issue with one of the quests, I had to take it down (it'll be back once it's fixed). In the mean time, I brought back an old favorite (definitely one of mine) for everyone to enjoy.

Hey, I'm very happy about that!! But the more rewarding thing, is to read the reviews and see that a lot of people enjoy the Foundry and give you 4 or 5 stars.
