Greetings Adventurers!
Dunno if you've all had a chance to check out the featured Foundry missions this week, but we're bringing them back!
Currently featured we have (in no particular order):
-
CH 2 Ill Fortunes by
@apocrs1980Short Code: NW-DPQS4X2FI
Chapter 2 in
@apocrs1980's Ravenloft series. I really enjoyed the creepy atmosphere in this one. Rarely have I ever felt scared while playing an MMO. A true pleasure to play.
-
The Ravenhill Horror. by
@reiwulfShort Code: NW-DNB8H7BCM
A delightfully horrifying romp through a haunted house filled with mystery and terror!
-
Brightstone 1: The Plague by
@Dark_T_ZeratulShort Code: NW-DLD6L9W58
A simple but extremely well-executed adventure. What I really enjoyed about this one was the dialogue. That extra bit of care and finesse really took it from being "just another Goblin-smashing fest" to something great. A great start to an impressive campaign.
Expect to see more featured quests in the coming weeks!
Keep creating, folks! You're all doing great!

It's great to see my Ravenhill quest, next to 2 incredible other quests too!
Also, I'm so happy to see new featured foundry quests! I hope to see other great ones in the future.

I was wondering about that too. I was expecting it to be weekly (especially after not having it for so long) but we didn't get it last Tuesday.
Yeah, me too. I thought it was gonna be a weekly thing since the calender states every Wednesday is foundry spotlight day.
Maybe it's gonna be a fortnightly kind of thing. Guess we'll know if it is fortnightly or monthly (or..annually?) in 2 days' time.
Foundry Spotlighting is monthly.

Let the monies come! >=D
And foundry authoring achievements. Chances are very good you'll get your book imp if you don't already have it.
Thank you very much akromatik I'm glad you enjoyed the play through
I'm just waiting on module 3 to release so I can use up some of the new Foundry features on chapter 3.
I'm hoping and praying there will be more released than what is on preview right now :P
Ravenloft
Look for@Apocrs1980 or visit the main page here or Ravenloft here
The announcement was that some of it would be released in a patch later.
Is there a way to save favorites in foundries. Sometimes I find ones I like but dont remember how to find them again when I go to look for them if I go back days later.
You can subscribe to the author.
Once you done that, all the quests that the author made or will make will appear in your "Subscribed" tab.
There is no way to subscribe to individual quest though.
Oh, I see. So, only 3 quests per month huh?
Guess we'll have to wait 3 more weeks then.
So, it's gonna be weekly?
Are we gonna get 3 quests or 6 this week? (Since we missed a week)
Um... quests? Plural? Screenshot "Spotlight" not "Featured" right?
Is it still ONE weekly Foundry Screenshot Spotlight?
...and THREE monthly Foundry Featured (for a month duration?)?
....or is Featured going three quests weekly --- for a month duration??

Check out the Foundry list=)
Looks like it's the latter.
Congrats to the 3 authors who are featured this week!
I'm really happy you got your feature, Gruffy. You worked really hard for it! Great work, Tipadaknife!
(Un)Academic Field Work Foundry Campaign: NWS-DAPZB2CTZ
Dunno if you've all had a chance to check out the featured Foundry missions this week, but here they are!
Currently featured we have (in no particular order):
- Missing Children by @Gruffydd
Short Code: NW-DNEIOOJ7R
The first quest in the Mere of Dead Men campaign. This quest combines creepy atmospheric horror with a gripping and suspenseful story.
- Return to the Clock Makers' Tomb by @DoctorBadger
Short Code: NW-DNB8H7BCM
The second installment in the (Un)Academic Field Work campaign. This lore-rich and puzzle-rific adventure will have you scratching your head in the best of ways!
- Tempest in a Freepot by @Tipa
Short Code: NW-DGFI82PLN
An interesting "re-telling" of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" (one of my favorites). I found myself laughing more than I have in an MMO in quite some time.
Keep creating, you all are amazing!
Check out my Foundry questline, The Brightstone Explorers' Guild, now archived on Youtube!
Thanks. Grats to you too... I'll have to try it. Sounds fun.
We shall celebrate. For the next three moons, Numfar shall do the Dance of Joy.
It's just like the stories I made up in my mind when I was a kid, congratulations!!
1)
I've seen a fair number of reviews complaining about how tough the last kobold fight was.
Now, a number of other people are probably saying "What last kobold fight? The one before you get to Snapjaw's cave? That wasn't that tough." Here's why... that big fight in Snapjaw's cave can be entirely avoided. That's right, there's something you can do earlier in the quest that completely eliminates that fight. I'm not going to say what, but it's there, and it's not that hard to find if you're not rushing through.
2)
Yes, there are a lot of people to talk to, and things to read. But they are almost entirely optional. You don't have to have any interactions other than those required by the quest objectives. The rest of it is just there for background, and for people who enjoy story. If you just want to fight, as the fisherman tells you (unless you ignored him and ran right past), just go straight to Rolf. It's the quickest way to advance the quest.
Conversely, if you do enjoy the little touches, background stuff, hidden extras, etc. there's a lot of it, some of it way off the beaten path. For instance, I haven't seen anyone mention the lacedons yet in a review... perhaps they're still waiting to be found?
3)
Don't like it dark? Be sure to use the "light switch" torch near the beginning of the kobold area. If you don't use it, please don't complain about it being dark.
4)
If kobolds build barricades in their tunnels, it's for a reason. Venture beyond at your own risk.
5)
Not a spoiler, just a reminder... authors have no control over loot, and cannot place treasure chests or skill nodes. All we get is the end chest, and we have no control over what's in that. It will be a random green, and will probably be of no use to you. Please blame Cryptic, not the author. There needs to be a better reward system.

Congrats to the authors=)
Yesterday when I logged in I got the "featured" achievement popping up for me but the foundry was still disabled and I was 100% sure that's a module 3 bug of some kind and I was like... meh.
But today the catalog is up and I see "Absence" out there and I am struck speechless. Thank you Cryptic for appreciating weeks and weeks of effort that went into making the campaign.
Congrats to Zeratul and Sc00ter as well (I *loved* the 'Danger' series)
Now featured!
