Great class balance changes overall. One question remains, what about TR (permastealth)...?.

I'm wondering if this will be addressed also, permastealth builds in an Open PvP zone will ruin the experience for a lot of people. So, you can't see them, target them, or do anything while they DPS you down and build up AP for that OP skill SE. I would like to hear from a Dev if this is being looked into at least.

    Thanks

Replacing Sharandar Treasures with Thayan Treasures is bad. The Sharandar boon grind really really sucks.

To use the language that the devs keep using: Trying to complete the Sharandar Boon achievements feels extremely slow and grindy, especially compared to how straightforward the Dread Ring boons are. Getting those extra 30 sparks every six days helps a lot.

Implementing Thayan Scrolls at Day #4 instead of replacing Feywild Sparks - or even giving Day #6 a choice of reward between sparks/scrolls - is a much better idea.

If Cryptic isn't willing to do that, then at least significantly reduce the costs for Sharandar Boons 3-5.

    +1

Hopefully, Cryptic pays attention to the growing amounts of requests to lessen the imbalance of perma TRs on PVP

Black Ice - I have to keep rebuilding my gear? YAWN. How annoying. Also from the preview on the russian livestream, currently appears OP as everything.

Pathfinder - Yay. Support class in a game where the PvE is all about DPS. Worthless paragon path! Make some of these marks and stuff AOE and it might, just might be slightly less than dreadful.

Power rework - remains to be seen.

DC righteousness rework - basically a 10% buff to DC ally heals. DC self healing still pretty sucky. Only hope is that the new righteousness doesn't mess up things like the Emblem heal being double dipped by tenacity and righteousness.

GWF reworks - Sounds good, until you realise that deep gash was up to 60-80% of a top tier GWF's damage. Stealth(or not so stealth) nerf. A large one at that. Sentinel tree now hits like a soft fluffy pillow, destroyer hits like 1/2 a CW.

HR nerfs - class killed in PvP and PvE.

TR potb change - Buff to vorpal TRs. Nerf to bile TR's. Addresses none of the complaints about TRs, be they PvP or PvE.

GF Knight captain Set nerf - GF even more useless than before.

CW will get nerf as all other it is something like ninja nerf ;)
    General Changes
Power has been reworked. Power was very difficult for players to understand before, so we have made it more clear by having it give a damage multiplier based on your level.

Gwf still can do great damage but you have to play it with a very different playstyle! You have to utilize unstoppable/steadfast passive and your encounters.

If you want to do great damage with your gwf you have to be skillfull player with a good rotation and not just run like mad and put everything the IMBA deep gash (even with the damageless cc-come and get it)

How about the TR is putting some guaranteed criting bleed with the damageless cc-smoke bomb and with every attack on his list...?

Currently, about 40-60% (quoting also Tang here) of a high end GWF's damage output comes from Gash. That needs to be addressed, that's for sure.
According to gentlemancrush's testings, the reworked feat will contribute with about 5%. Now, how do you plan to make up for that huge damage loss? Mad 1337 player sk!llZZ? Reworked feats? I don't think so.
Sure, you'll outdps any class but the CW - yet again you won't find a group for that. /lfg will be "LF4M CW for HAMSTER". With the SotS rework only providing a damage buff to yourself and a huge blast to your survivability (currently: sustained LS keeping you alive thanks to Deep Gash) there will really no reason to actually pick a GWF over an additional CW.

    • There is now a Mounts collection.

Does this mean that we get a mount tab too in the near future? because collecting mounts is very tedious if you have to sell them because of too little bag space. I would really like to see a mount collection, and I suppose many others too.

If a class is getting "60-80%" of their damage from 5 feat points (in the first tier of paragon, nonetheless), something is clearly broken and needs to be addressed.

I think for the vast majority of GWFs it is really closer to 40-50%. But the point still stands, that's way too much.

Just noticed something I missed the first time I read about the changes:
The Invocation Store Now has a Cache of Dread Ring Treasures in place of the Sharandar Cache

    This is bad...bad...bad.

The sharandar cache gives you something useful - the 30 sparks which are a great help when building up your Fey blessing enchants. The Dread ring cache is....meh....not useful.

THis is actually related to a second issue - the fey blessing enchants drag me back to Sharandar even though I have finished the campaign a long time ago. They are a great sink for sparks....there is nothing comparable in Dread ring - I consider this a mistake.
    Hoping for improvements...

Especially since Sharandar takes longer to complete. Ideally you should be able to choose bet ween Sharandar and Dread Rind Cache or at least transform the Cache into something that holds currency for both campaigns.

Yes , please keep both the Sharandar and Dread ring celestial coin rewards available , especially now with the addition of the class artifacts , a lot of players are going to be leveling up one of each class and these celestial coin boon campaign boosts help a lot.

There's no reason to not have two rewards for 6 coins. One is Dread Ring cache, the other the Sharandar cache.

So put it in the 4th tier of the paragon instead of the first. Problem solved. CWs have far more potent feats anyways.

45% less damage in Split Shot? Seriously?

HR is already the class with less variety in builds, basically the only at-will that causes damage is SS, the only encounter that causes damage is Rain of Arrows, and the only Daily that causes damage is Seismic Shot.

So much monkeys at work there.

Nerf everything but the CWs, cause the CW was the weakest class and didn't need a nerf. Now all classes are balanced and equally desired, YAY! Hurray for another awesome module ..... I'm glad I quit a few days ago, thought I'll come back for this module but naaaah, thnx!

PLEASE consider this the other way round, so that you gain slightly less from PvP than from PvE.

I strongly recommend against enticing people into PvP via better drop chances/more resources etc (like that 0.1% PvE Eye of Lathandar versus the 100% drop chance of the Bloodraven Skull @ 24k glory). This destroys the game for all sides, PvE enthusiasts and PvP enthusiasts.

well it is kinda ridiculous for a T1 set to be considered BiS for anything. however, keep in mind there is a power rework, the set hopefully will not end up garbage. if it does i'll just go back to stacking power and attempting to post moderate damage numbers. i'm just hoping there are actually hard dungeons released in mod 3 that are on par with current gear levels and require a healer and a tank to complete so they're no longer classes people bring when that's all that is available or because they are your friends and you feel sorry for them.
They could not have just made the the current T2 set bonuses BETTER so the <sarcasm>abundant</sarcasm> GFs favor a T2 over a T1. Easier to have crappy or useless T2's for GF and then just destroy the last remaining T1 set that allows them into a party.

I swear i've already heard somethings like that but months ago. Oh wait ! You know ANYTHING about the power rework, someone said that 15% of the new power may be the same as 60% of the actual power so just wait the release to begin your sarcasm if there is still a reason to do so. And basically, you can't let a buff increase a multiplicative value by 60%, it'll just be an exponential OPness.

Oh and btw, it's just the first step among every others until the final release on live servers so don't be annoyed by - according to you - a so-called mediocre update because there's not what you expected in it. NWO has always been (at least for me) a long-term thing regarding everything or nearly so. :/

Its about 6.42 am (as I post this) where the developers work so don't expect any news for at least a couple of hours , it's easy enough to check though , open the patcher and click on preview and if it starts downloading client NW.15.20140314a.5 you know its up or about to be , also it's going onto neverwinter preview , owlbear is for the current live builds patches.
