It ran a full day longer than advertised , although I can see why players would complain about the shop going poof.

It ended at the time they said it would, after extending it for a full day from the original because of the downtimes.

Sorry you didn't get the thing you wanted, but it worked exactly as it was supposed to.

Where is the vendor. Our group ran till last moment and when event ended Vendor poofed. I thought it was supposed to hang around a day or 2 so folks could cash out.

Hopefully they will put him back for a few days , I thought I had spent up my medallions before it ended but the final run put me just over 100 again so I may as well buy a refinement box if I can .

    No, it didn't.
There was no timer to inform the player when the event ends and shop disappeared right in the moment the event ended. Compare that to the last event, Simril, where we had both a timer that counted to the very second and shop remained long after.

There was a serious lack of information.

There was a timer beside the mini map. It was there counting down the entire time the event was on (the same way that there was one for Simril, or any other similar event which has been running)

I'll admit that the shop disappearing immediately is different. At least the tokens carry over so that you can use them on the next CTA event.

There'll be another CTA next month, so it's not really a big deal to have medallions left if all you wanted was the refinement boxes (which are a total RNG ripoff, though I am no longer able to link to the thread testing their drop rates).

It is pretty unfortunate though if you had your heart set on a transmute from this specific event though, at least until they start repeating.

There was no timer man, i didn't had any, my friends didn't had any, asked in guild but nobody had any idea when the event actually ended ..because there was no timer near the mini map.

Yeah, the timer got turned off some time after they extended the event. My guess is they went from an automated turn off for the event to a manual turn off. Which might explain why the vendor didn't show up after the event ended.

Ah, Sorry then. I could've sworn there was a timer the whole time. It still had the CTA event box though and they did post stuff about the revised time for it ending.

and just to point out 1 extra day dose not make up for 3 days of not being able to do it due to massive lag issues and there was no timer

The lag issues with the CTA were cleared up in the emergency patch that happened on Thursday night so there were lag issues for less than 12 hours.

. . . I am hoping they re-enable the vendor for a day or two as well. As for the end date of the event, when it came back up after the lag fix maintenance, the original article was updated with pertinent information on the extended end time.
*Important Update* We performed emergency maintenance to resolve the issue. The event has also been extended to 1/28 10 AM PST. Please click here for updates: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?589601-CtA-Storming-the-Keep-temporarily-disabled

It'd be nice if they re-enable the vendor. I was looking at getting one of the weapon transmutes. Oh well.

Dunno about "ended too soon" but having the vendor vanish <bleep>ed me out of the unlocks I was after.

Yes, I know, I should have immediately panic bought the instant I had enough, but I wanted to see what I would end up with, and if I didn't have enough for "everything for everyone" was going to have to decide what not to get...well, it was decided for me, "nothing".

The only fix was Thursday. There where no fixes over the weekend. There where no fixes on Monday. Without so much as one single additional patch. How did this lag clear up?

IIRC, when they ended the Winter Event, there was a day or so period when the whole event dais in PE was cleared away, and then a day or so later, a lone vendor (without all the decorative elements) was re-added... so maybe that's what they're doing.

Anybody recall for certain if CTA's vendors in the past stayed a couple days? I thought they did.... but I am not sure. I usually ignored CTA's - this time i wanted the enchant box so I farmed.... and got 3 Sbucklers too :D

    Edit:

Lol Bioshrike... just saw your channel note. What is there maybe 5 legit players on NWO? Good we all can group now :) Seriously though, I blame Cryptics total LACK of commitment to stopping, banning ending exploits/cheats more than I blame peeps. Sadly it seems at this point, if you cant hang with them (advancement), join them :(

This was the first CTA with a vendor, but previous events with vendors did stick around for a while.

I'm pretty sure the vendor was there right away for the Winter Event.

Since I didn't know when it was going to end, I made sure to cash out every night. Of course, that's esier for me, because I don't care about fashion or transmutes. I only wanted the cheap refinement boxes.

Event vendors should always stay a while, after the event ends.

the ability to <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> off there players is really top notch it's one of there priorities besides adding more companions and mounts to the zen shop.

How were those who finished a run at exact moment event ended supposed be able to spend their medals?

Jk and making a nit-picky point.

I kind of wish they would have put the swashbuckler on the vendor for whatever high amount of medals, so those unlucky like myself, who ran it over 150 times without a drop, could have at least earned one.

I ended up buying one about 50 runs in, but then it became more about just getting one to drop so I didn't feel like such a shleprock than actually getting the swashbuckler.

I think Don is taking the day off because of the bad weather.

On a serious note try pulling out the " ' " you put into the word Don't. Sometimes the forums eat posts with those marks.
