just fyi... in the wondrous bazaar on the test server, there are purple and blue dungeon delve keys. i don't know if this is slated for module 2 or if it's still being tested.

no one can say that cryptic isn't listening. ;)

Yeah, they told us with the recent interview that this was being considered. I'm going to enjoy seeing how it's implemented.

I'm hoping(but not expecting) that with a DD key you're much more likely to get a set item from the DD chest than getting salvage junk. It'd feel pretty bad if you can barely even cover your own expenses with the loot.

i don't think the key is a guarantee that you're going to get a set item... it's to give you the option of opening the chest when the dungeon delve event is not running. the key is priced on the test server at about 1200AD. if they leave it like that, then yes you would be able to cover the expense of a key. but this also would increase the number of times you can open that chest which would increase the odds of getting the set item you're looking for.

Minor correction. The Purple Dungeon Delve Key (which is needed to open the chest in epic dungeons) is 2500AD. The Blue Dungeon Delve Key which opens non-epic dungeon chests is 1500.

Eezy peezy keys for me and you :) My guild likes to run dungeons and help new guild members get gear, are the keys currently BOP? Or can we give them away once we buy them? If the latter is not true then please give us the option of buying keys for the entire party mid dungeon, thank you.

    They are BoP currently.

They aren't that expensive and people should be perfectly capable of buying the keys themselves.

Yes that is cheap, almost too cheap, shh don't say that. But at that price why bother with the keys at all? The unlocking just becomes an unneeded mechanic.

They said it unintentionally snuck its way into the preview server from the recent patch notes.

Not sure if they are going to remain or not. But it seems like it might not, since they said it was a prototype. It may not be the definitive version we see if its released when module 2 goes live.

so... just as i suspected. but at least they're considering this.

I really like the idea of switching to a key system like sharandar lairs versus the current timed d/d event.

As an end game player fully geared, i have gotten so all i do is just log in to see if the d/d is up, and if its not, i log off and come back when the chest is up. And I just hate having to wait like that. Really interferes with my schedule.

I wonder if using keys would scale down on some of the speed exploit runs that everyone does now too. It would eliminate the need of having to preclear and then speed through to get more than 1 chest in a givin hour.

I don't really care with bop or boe or dungeon key.

I care about the stupid difficulty of the dungeons and the ability of getting fast queues and be able to do the dungeons.

Also stop changing the leadership of the group! even on pre-formed groups this happens!

Here's an easier fix. Just freaken leave the chest open. If you do dungeons outside of dungeon delves event give it a very low chance of obtaining the epic t1/t2 gear. And even if you get an epic it's BOP, you can't even trade it. Best you can do is salvage it for extra AD and I think the people who run the dungeon should deserve it for all the work they've done. And of course if the epic gear didn't pop up then you get some random crappy rare gear that no one wants. Oh and guess what, with the way things are with salvaging, it's ROUGH AD, so there should be no excuse in complaining about AD farming via this method.

So what about Dungeon Delves event? Retain the normal rates for obtaining the epic gear. Leave it as it is.

Why is this good? This allows more people to run dungeons more frequently than waiting an hour before the DD event comes up to preclear it. Oh and you know what's even more sweet? With the upcoming updates where players can join parties where members have left prematurely or unexpectedly, even if the new guy joins they can still open the chest for a chance at epic gear even if DD is over. No more "what am i chop liver? I help out with the boss, one guy grief Needs on the only epic gear i can only Greed for in a promised Greed ONLY game, spent 20 minutes on the boss, and all i get a some stupid Seals?"

Wow, love the idea, lately the Dungeons have been a real pain specially if you don't get the reward and its SOOO time consuming I literally look at the time or if i have things to do BEFORE I even consider doing a Dungeon really wish it was like skirmishes even if it takes longer you never notice the time as its always active and have enough difficulty to be a fun challenge.

Great Job lobo! This is really good. ;)
