I dunno I don't think that other game is hated by Cryptic.

....being hated would imply they remember we're here :(

Bottomless Waterskins are a great innovation, something we'd love to have in some other game, but we understandably cannot get due to being hated by Cryptic.

Thankfully, you're playing the superior game, so congratulations, NWO players, you earned it!

And when we do get something that is reusable and lasts forever, it has a 5 minute cooldown instead of a 5 second one.

Hey, cool. I can quick reply more easily here, unlike in the CO forums where the software was downgraded and took features away compared to pre-acquisition forums.

Anyway, I agree that there is something faulty here when such a thing cannot be allowed in one Cryptic game that is in another. I will not say that Cryptic abandoned CO just yet. North is getting a chance. (It's my last one, though.)

So when you finally get one of the Sunite weapons/items... it says they are intended to used for transmutation. You get the items as a lvl 1 item, so how do you level it up and/or improve it. I can't seem to find anything that says what to do with it.

They're not "real" weapons, they're intended to be skins for your class-weapon. You should've read the items description more carefully before buying.
Anyway, to transmute/change the appearance of your weapon, right-click on it from your Character Sheet, select "Change Appearance" and a new windowd will appear where you can select/preview different skins for your weapon/equipment based on what items/dye bottles you have already.

If you enter an event, and win (certainly not guaranteed), you can win up to 60 flowers.

Meanwhile you can gather 80-100 flowers from the kobolds in the same time, every time.

yesterday i was in an instance of the map where the kobolds where the first time i saw that harder than on the other maps. they were also shown as better than the standard minions. so gathering took longer there. i changed instance and there kobolds were normal difficulty again. do they scale the more people are in a zone?

Go into the area where an event is taking place and kill 1 troll or herd in 1 chicken, then go collect flowers. You may only get bronze tier rewards, but it took you hardly any time.

It seems the transmutation won't work on the peasant top any more. I think it's been patched.
"pay to WIN"? Ok you win! now go away and let the rest of us "Play in Peace" without your whining!

Yes, as documented in last week's patch notes.

If you're already in the area for gathering flowers, it is debatable if you should even spend the time to do that.

The event is now even more rewarding with today's update! Learn more about the Hero's Feast and 2x Petal rewards in our new blog: http://nw.perfectworld.com/news/?p=976231.

To say there are more rewards is a bit of a stretch. There really is only the one new reward, the Hero's Feast. I suppose you could say increasing the amount of petals gathered is more rewarding, but not really a new reward. I will say the Sunite you chose for us to be able to make brings back the nightmare that was the 70's. I would much rather have been able to make the clothing that is worn by the dancers.

I can second that. Heck, id be happy for almost any of the NPC clothes. Im grateful that the hippy wear is a nice change from the default rags. Sadly, they feel more like a holiday costume and what we need is more day to day wear.

However, if you all come out with some really neat snuggly winter clothes. I will gladly toss money your way!

You spell "Heross" wrong at least on the Gateway.

I haven't checked in game yet on the profession board.

It is certainly not a walk in the park Risa STO summer event.

It seems people still have a lack of reading comprehension in my posts (evidenced by my cleric post where 90% of the people did not address my issue). I did not specifically say just those two types of kobolds are the issue. Even the trolls 1v1 are a challenge for my man at arms at 30ish, and hit freakin hard on myself that I am, once again I am repeating myself due to lack of other people reading, chugging so much healing potions; well beyond what I have ever had to use in the quest lines given to me.

Agreed; everything is hard hitting. Perhaps grouping to get through it? I'm pretty sure that was the assumption of the devs when designing the event; to be light entertainment but not a walk in the park. My CW chugs 1 or 2 per battle if I solo but none with a partner of any class.

IIRC the critters scale to your level but not to your gear. If you're in whites or greens they'll be hard, reasonable if you're in blues, and fairly easy if you're in purples. At least on Mindflayer, you can generally find helpful DCs who don't mind healing anyone around who needs it, so that can help you.

You can purchase them from the Tarmalune Trade Bar Merchant in Protector's Enclave as well!

As a reminder, the Summer Festival ends Thursday, 09/19, so don't forget to get those last minute Petals and Hero's Feasts.

There are a couple of places that indicate the festival doesn't end until 9/19, rather than 9/18. Could we please get a confirmation on which is correct?

The launcher says 9/19, and the news page actually lists both dates. Everything else I've seen says 9/18. But then I saw a note in the preview patch notes that says it is being corrected to end on 9/19, so I was assuming 9/19 is correct...

Edit: just found in the Dev Tracker that states the event will last until 9/19. Very nice!

Wow.. the initial notes about 5 weeks following the event would allow for usage of the items worked for was misleading. NOW with your post JUST THIS MORNING.. its clear that CRAFTING will STOP on the 19th?! GREAAAAT.. all that effort for crafting goods will be for next to nothing. 1 hour crafting time wont leave much. I was waiting to craft for THE NEXT 5 WEEKS. 8|~ .. please, clarify so I can plan to sleep or not to reap some sort of benefit from the effort. ..the crafting tab is gone on the 19th? (tomorrow) >>??

From what i understand yes the event crafting tab will be gone the day the event is gone. Read a dev talking about it in the event map.

I have really enjoyed playing around in the summer festival area. Hell, I would live and farm there myself if I could. Absolutely beautiful spot. Living in Maine, I could see how it could be recreated with little effort. Thanks for the fun, maybe next event could look like Alaska, lots of tall mountains deep valleys and even deeper snow for a Winter Solstice and/or Cabin Fever (mid February) event with some colorful Northern Lights dancing in the skies above.

Most of my gaming time over the last few weeks has been concentrated in this area. I enjoyed the vibe. I enjoyed the company of the people who also preferred to hang out there than in PE. And I managed to make every single tomato and scrap of filigree into something useful.

It was a good event...well done. I am now the happy owner of one armored boar mount (for my dwarf GF), a pig companion and a nice (dyed black) outfit for my DC, as well as several pig companions and Sunite garbs waiting in the bank to be placed on the AH at some point in the future.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it ... helps make up a bit for all the bugs in dungeons and the DC class powers.
    Hoping for improvements...
