You morons keep whining about nerf's. If you actually read the post past the SMALL drop in numbers you will see it benefits the character and gameplay in the long run. I hear this nerfing trash from GWF players more than any other. I find it funny I have built a few and they are all epic, after the last set of 'nerfs' my boy only got stronger. . .oh wait. . .maybe its because I know how to tool a toon =_=
If you build it right you can't feel any difference. I have no problems at all with the way these changes are coming in and agree with (most of) them.
And to all this children that don't get their way and start all this "I'm Leaving" threads, news flash. . .nobody gives a flying maw fodder about it. For every whiney child that leaves, 6-8 new players come in and love it. So take you're whiney baby bs and begone.
As a special note, this does not apply to those that are adults and try to start the 'lets discuss these changes' threads. I, and others im sure, are happy to discuss the changes and qualms about them without some throwing a tantrum and thinking a quit threat matters.
In short, discuss, stop whining, and now one cares about your existence on these servers enough to start a riot so stop it.
The devs must have statistics that justify the nerfs (perhaps the most commonly used powers and feats that were so strong that almost all the players wore). I think they were focused.

Laziness is not justification for balancing, it is easy to nerf instead of to balance. Many games today do the same thing.

Not me, by calling people morons because they don't agree with the "changes" he is making himself a very "special" person.
You makin fun on my helmet =_= I'm only dubbing morons to those that whine about not getting their way, the ones that don't take into consideration the reason for the changes. If you can't open your mind, you shouldn't open your mouth. That sorta idea, I'm not tossing insults just to do so. It does get attention though, doesn't it.

One of the upcoming changes is that Temporary HP will deplete after Unstoppable runs out on the GWF. As well as a change to the mitigation that Unstoppable provides (I think). I actually agree with this because on the right gear, stat, skill rotation, you come become just nigh of a god, and never take damage. I love the permabuff build, but it shouldn't make you invulnerable to everything all the time. It makes sense that "Temporary" HP would disappear, not become permanent. This is an example of a BALANCE that needed happen for gameplay sake. Commence the children whining because they have to actually play now instead of standing there swinging into the crowd and giggling like a schoolgirl.

The problem is that the "balance" came out to be because a very loud few group of players in PVP cried and cried and cried about how the TRs were facerolling them. Now the changes came and they are affecting everyone.

It's lazier to leave it alone. They don't have to change it at all. As a rule though, when balance happens, you pull down from the top, if you raise everything else up to meet it, it changes the entire gamescape. At some point either the player becomes a god or the game is untouchably difficult. Pull down slightly, it makes a better challenge. BTW, they have indeed lowered the difficulty on the mobs and such to match. That's the balance, even they the player will usually get the heavier cuts.

If I had to whine about anything it would probably be people with huge signature graphics. Luckily I can block those with AdBlock Plus so I can now direct my whining elsewhere.

TR was built for DPS, its what they do. just the concept of the rogue is tough stuff. The permastealth build is a frightening thing, but it still relies on planets aligning in stats, gear, feats, and the perfect rotation

Oh , and what do you do when someone disagree with you i.e "you are not getting your way with them" ?

I totally disagree that this is all about rogues in PvP. While a few of the changes were clearly leveled at PVP, the majority are for PvE.
I agree with the OP. The current state of PvE is stupid. It needed a radical shake-up. This looks more like balance to me, and it might lead to more interesting PvE gameplay - for example, a world where the Wiz isn't by far the most important group member. A world where shield isn't the Wiz's most important encounter.
sorry but could you point me to the specific post on that one
Shield: Shield Release no longer incorrectly multiplies its Action Point gain for every target hit.
Shield: Shield Release no longer incorrectly builds a stack of Arcane Mastery for every target hit,
Or in other words, wizards can no longer use singularity more than once per boss fight based on my testing on the test shard.
Unless they changed the interaction from tabbed Entangling Force, AS can still be cast very frequently. Just not back to back to back.

Imo, cw "nerf" is minimal. The biggest change that I saw was in the way shield works. Sure, it sucks blasting a big group of trash with shield won't fill the ap meter.. Oh well.. Learn new tactics and move on. I love my cw which is my main. I highly doubt this will effect the way I play much if at all.. Sure it might make things a bit more challenging, but this game is already extremely easy so challenge is good

I don't care to 'get my way' it isn't getting my way when some agrees. It just means their opinion happens to match mine. It's not a winning or losing thing. congratz to anyone that can think for themselves. This thread is not a 'come to my side' it's a rant about people who can't accept things that aren't under their terms.
And on said, point. . .
For the most part I actually saw most of the CW powers and feats taking a plus, not many minuses at all. As far as the dungeons go, you just need to be more mobile and stat your gear accordingly. You haven't been gimped in anyway, honestly.

The way shield worked, a cw could have a new sing up every few seconds, if not instant.. Sing 10-15 mobs, shield insta refill of ap. Rinse and repeat.. hehe.. Sure I liked having the perma sing but there are still ways to fill the ap rather quickly.
I hated using shield anyway. I'm actually glad it won't be obviously optimal anymore. It's still good because of the high damage and unlimited targets. But now it doesn't have the OP insta refresh and giant ap gain. It was really way too good.

it says it in the the sentences you posted. . . no longer INCORRECTLY. meaning what ever you enjoyed was unfortunatly a bug and is now fixed. sorry, you too have lost my sympathy ;p
The fact is that most of the GWF players don't know how to play their characters, but the one who know play in god mode currently. They don't even need a cleric, or anything else, i know two of them who were able to duo several T2 dungeons, and killed the boss. Obviously, something had to be done.
I'm really unhappy about the changes to hammer of fate. This was my only spell allowing me to get kills in pvp, and my only burst damage spell as a cleric.
The CW changes? Meh. Not a big deal. My CW is an oppressor, so control has never been an issue. Singularity has always been the icing on the cake, and definitely not a core element of my build. Nice for pushes, but that's it.
The changes to the GF set, well, it was expected and deserved. Way, way too powerful, in combination with the Conqueror spec. There are other sets, different possible and viable builds, now. Good. There are already 2 dps classes in game, we don't need a 3rd one.
and btw, why are you attacking me specifically, did I strike a nerve perhaps. Well I have no sympathy if you are offended because that means it hit some truth. When I get offended I look at the reason and fix it if possible, but you can cry to mods, and leave the game if you want. Further making my point.
Yes you are right : I don't like people that toss words like "moron" around and no I am not leaving because in game there are people that like you love those words. I simply put them on "ignore".
Good day , sir

I never had an issue using singularity multiple times in a boss fight. I could pump it out three or four times in skirmish, forget about a dungeon. It's not the most fun stat but maybe you should try to stack recovery for something else that is lacking.

Now that one breaks my heart. No one should get bullied into leaving. . .I am assuming its bullying and not just butt hurt. If you take something you hear from absolute stranger to heart, I'm sorry, there isn't much help for you. Shrug it off and keep moving, cuz I promise my opinion means nothing to anyone but myself. Sad you can't see that and not take it personally. . .again. . .this is not why I started this thread, this is a discussion about nerf versus balance, please.

Yeah entangling force on tab, which means you can't use repel on tab, so castle never will be .....interesting.

Repel on tab is lazy. Shield pushes feel more... Heroic.
