My apologies. Every post you've placed in response to me has avoided my main point, hence, your apology felt more like poor sarcasm. Trouble with the written word, sarcasm doesn't translate well. Which is I continued to "bite back," so to speak. Again, my apologies.
No you are right it was more sarcasm. Do you actually think I thought you were trying to help me with my grammar? Come on!
I know when I am beat though.

I derailed my own argument with my own stupidity. I should know better than to argue grammar with this bunch. I can easily be outgunned. I'll not let my arguments get reframed that way again though.

give us SOMETHING even if there's no news, tell us that. By now you must have SOME idea what the problem is, give us a much-too-technical answer to give us a headache at least. Just SOMETHING!
Kobolds are aggressive, inward, yet industrious small humanoid creatures. They are noted for their skill at building traps and preparing ambushes, and mining. Kobolds are distantly related to dragons and urds and are often found serving the former as minions. This humanoid is about the size of a gnome or halfling. It has a scaly hide, a naked tail like that of a rat, and a doglike head with two small horns.
Kobolds are reptilian humanoids. A kobold stands between 2' and 2'6" (60cm – 75cm) tall, weighing 35 to 45 pounds (16 – 20kg). They have squamous skin between reddish brown and black in color, with burnt orange to red eyes. Their legs are sinewy and double-jointed. They have long, clawed fingers and a jaw like a crocodile. Small white or tan horns protrude from their head, and they have rat-like tails. Kobolds smell of wet dog and stagnant water. They like to wear red or orange garments, which are usually ragged.

Sorry, I was thinking of Cobalt. It is blue. Here is an interesting fact though you may not know. got it from Wikipedia.
"Cobalt-based blue pigments (cobalt blue) have been used since ancient times for jewelry and paints, and to impart a distinctive blue tint to glass, but the color was later thought by alchemists to be due to the known metal bismuth.Miners had long used the name kobold ore (German for goblin ore) for some of the blue-pigment producing minerals; they were named because they were poor in known metals and gave poisonous arsenic-containing fumes upon smelting. In 1735, such ores were found to be reducible to a new metal (the first discovered since ancient times), and this was ultimately named for the kobold."
My sarcasm may not be any good, but sometimes it leads to interesting facts.

I'm sorry, but if a local gas station had a name drawing contest for a hundred dollars worth of gas, and the girl who worked at the register won, it would probably cause that gas station to lose the business of everyone who paid a dollar to put their name in the hat, whether she paid for her entry and won fairly or not. That's my opinion on the Foundry. If the community mods/admins/devs all want to make quests, that's understandable. Making quests is freaking awesome. But having us regular authors compete against them for a spotlight or place in the Best list is just a bad idea. Regardless of whether it's really fair, skeptical people such as myself will have their doubts. Especially when every employee seems to be successful, and very few regular players are. If it's so important to the employees that their quests get played before ours, let them make a new tab for employees to feature their quests, instead of having them win a spotlight every other week, or placing them in the Best list. Then us regular Foundry authors can be ensured that our competition is more fair. I can't necessarily prove the system is rigged, but you can't prove it isn't right now either. It's all about speculation, so lets make sure things at least LOOK fair, whether they are or not.
I can't agree. The first thing you see/hear when coming into the Neverwinter web site is a video that's first line is Neverwinter is a game designed by D&D fans for D&D fans. Now I've never really been a D&D fan but that explains why they would want to do just this. Just because someone works for a company dose not mean they should not enjoy what the company dose, in this case a game.
If anything there should just be a star or symbol to show that it is an employee, the only problem with this is people may assume they will be better than others which may not be the case and could be misleading.
This is not a competition and given time the people that stand out will be recognised wether they are employees or just gamers, and as a gamer that can only be a good thing as the rated content will be better.
I agree to most of what antonkyle said.
I might add that
- first of all, most players don't do Foundry quests to enter an imaginary contest, proving that the're "better" - but simply enjoy the opportunity to invent their own small fantasy stories and bring it to the community (the very same goes for all those NWN/NWN2/Morrowind/Oblivion content/mod makers out there).
- and second, if Foundry content (for me to play) is created by someone affiliated with the producers/developers, I excpect a certain level of craftsmanship, and so I absolutely welcome it.

Odd bit of trivia, I've used powdered cobalt to create colors on ceramics.
It's very nicely blue, but toxic to inhale. It's my favorite color of blue.
But I seriously had no idea that cobalt was named after kobolds... I call shenanigans!

The moment they start accepting real world cash for in game commodities it stops being Beta.
End of...
That they lie to you by calling it Beta, and you are foolish enough to fall for those lies is irrelevant, and not my problem.
All The Best
I have to agree with this. Open Beta without a wipe and accepting real world cash is more accurately a soft launch, in fact I would remove the word 'soft'; it is just a game launch pure and simple.
Don't expect it to be on before the 20th, ie release, and can anyone say foundry packs added to the Zen shop to cash up, like some have been talking about in-game chat.

That would suck! I'd rather pay a sub each month. The problem with cash shops is that people can spend stupid money. Look at SWTOR, one person could make up five peoples subs on there own if they had to have everything.
If they do this It will only drive people away, and the way Blizzard operate it will only be a matter of time before they rip it off.
@antonkyle I agree, but they tried it with STO so what's stopping them here. its why i left ROM for the same reason. lets hope its just chatter as we are all upset the foundry is down and hope they pop it up today.

LOL. Yeah, if they start charging for access to things we've already had access to, on top of the fact we're generating free content for them, that would be the last straw for me.
@cipher9nemo If anything it would be like they did on STO, it wouldn't be things we already had, it would be like update pack 1,2,3 of things we have in game but not in the foundry.

Then there's hope, but just slightly. All speculation of course, but if we had to pay for packs to make content then the Foundry becomes P2W since the popular ones will have paid content, and everyone else gets the shaft.
@cipher9nemo speculation yes, but its been done before, and by the same company. so i cant see why they wouldn't want to cash up in here. but will see. I just want to get back in the foundry lol will get to that ladder when we get there.
I do hope they dont make any bit of foundry pay for I want to buy some AD and i want to make quests too, that together would force me to choose and probably just quit .

Kobolds are cute and cuddly. When they're not in hordes. And have been rained on recently. (Limits the smell, you know.)
