Spent $100 on Gamecard, converted all to Zen got 9300 Zen - even less than I should of got without promotion, but with promotion should have got 11500. Cryptic not responding to support tickets - no surprise there huh?

neverwinter/cryptic should have the so called bonus increased to 25 percent or better to compensate for currency exchanges, also they should add the chance to have keys drop from the neverwinter heavy infernal boxes
...also they should add the chance to have keys drop from the neverwinter heavy infernal boxes
Those can drop keys?! 0.o
Oh, wait.. add..
But more seriously; whilst Cryptic may not be accountable for exchange rates, I do hope they know that their customer-base does not only use (american) dollars. A simple added warning for "non-American" players that they "may want to think twice or at least take into account that you may not as a matter of fact even break even due to currency exchange related issues" would have done a lot here!
Now you just have a lot of upset people that feel they have been lied to..

I think the word you are looking for is "defrauded" [obtaining money, goods or services by deception]. My card was in USD, why did they change it to Euros, I bought USD card specifically to get the bonus, they defrauded me and now won't answer tickets.
Have never seen a $25 ultimate card before. Checking Walmart, they don't have the 25 one either (unless it is just a regional thing).
Only thing I can suggest is to call billing at this point.
Ya bought it in store not online, figured out a solution though, buy two and it works because you can select 50. LOL, so they got more money out of me.....

From as far as I can tell the cards always are in (American) dollars, and European players always pay in euro's. So nothing was "changed" from the original situation. Failing to mention this to people on time however does make the word "neglectance" appropriate, I feel.
Official launch is all very good but what about responding to tickets relating to billing issues and your Zen store - how can you launch when your existing system is broken? I purchased $100 worth of Zen during 15% promotion, should have received 11500 Zen, received only 9300 and support have completely ignored my ticket. Fix the things that are broken before you launch! Answer existing support tickets which have sat without replies for weeks, before launching new content!

Just a heads up: the people responding to support tickets are a totally different team than the people developing and launching new content. The developers are all part of Cryptic; support comes from PWE. While they are working together, they are two separate companies with totally separate staff. Suggesting the Cryptic employees sit on their hands while PWE gets through support issues makes little to no sense.
I can't fathom why you received /less/ Zen than you actually purchased, even disregarding the bonus. I'm sorry support is taking so long to respond but they have a lot of tickets, and they may be investigating what could have caused your issue. But halting development won't help you any faster.
From what I've read in the dev tracker, the support redirect bug is a known issue and they're working on it. As I don't know what the issue is, I don't know what's taking so long, but they may not have uncovered the root cause, or fixing said cause may be out of their hands.
a- of course it's a known issue. It was an issue in CO, I've bugged it several times & finally just gave up, now it's amplified in the NW game. no doubt it is known - in fact, I suspect they count on it as a CS filter.
b- if it is "out of their hands" who the heck else does a customer turn to?
c- as you don't know what the issue is, why try to silence those who are complaining about it legitimately? It's clear that if complaints can be put off or silenced, PW will continue to allow the issue to continue into the next game release.
d- as of this moment the redirect issue is still there, so only the noise on these forums that could potentially scare off other potential vict, i mean customers, can possibly influence change.

The website for the UGC does not list Neverwinter on its list of accepted games for using the card.

Apologies, I am not trying to "silence" anyone - merely put it in perspective. It's a known bug because it has been mentioned at least a half dozen times on the dev tracker. That means they know about it, hence, "known". And I have plenty of complaints about things for which I cannot turn to ANYONE. Politics, businesses, there are a lot of things that are "wrong" that there's no one specific person who can "fix". I guess my problem is I see a lot of people accusing PWE of purposely ignoring this issue. Like, "Yeah, this reduces our ticket count, we'll just ignore this issue so X% of our customers can't contact us." The idea that this was a conscious decision by PWE is absurd. If they screwed over customers on purpose, they'd be smacked by the BBB so fast it would make your head spin. They're not doing this on purpose. I've worked for companies who had "serious issues" that were NIGH IMPOSSIBLE to track down. Developers spending weeks on an issue and cannot reproduce it, let alone figure out what might fix it.
PWE isn't a petulant child, they're a business, in the business of making money. <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> over your customers doesn't make money in the long run. If this has been going on for a long time with multiple games - that tells me PWE has zero control over this issue. For instance, many games have had their emails auto-blocked by AOL/Yahoo/Hotmail spam filters. In this case, it looks like certain accounts have some kind of weird routing issue. PWE may have no control over this, and they may be frantically trying to resolve it. Working for a software company I have some experience with this: Customers want, we can't provide, so we have to bug the <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> out of the people who hold the keys to let our company do stuff. I don't KNOW that this is the issue with the support redirect, but given my experience with US corporations, the idea that "They're just being jerks and don't care about us" is patently absurd. It reveals a deep lack of understanding of How Things Work. Yes, there are greedy people out there, and we hear ALL ABOUT them in the news.. but that's not the *norm*. If we thought that the news reported the norm, we'd think ONLY bad things ever happen in this country. People need a slightly expanded view, and I am hoping to provide that with what little experience I have. Feel free to ignore it and continue to lambast PWE, though I am sure it won't help your issue to be resolved any faster.
They still are not responding to support tickets on this issue - I haven't received a response after 4 days now. Nothing, nada, zilch and not possible to do a chargeback since it is twice removed from the payment processor (although if I could do a chargeback, I am sure they would be paying enough attention to ban my account within 30 minutes - no 4 day waits there eh?).

It's just a Plane and simple Scam no ways around it if your not in the USA your screwed.
It's not a Exchange rate it's just a made up charge.
I bought a $20 card , to use the card I need to spend a extra $1.68 If I pick the $50 card it wants a extra $1.77 what kind of math is that? To make things more messed up if I change my contrary to USA (instead of Canada) it says I have to pay a extra $1.77 for the $20 card WHT is that?
No to mention the only way for me to get the extra $1.68 I need to buy another $20 Card on line? WTH?

So I decided to use the $20 Card I payed for to buy $15 worth of ZEN (because apparently that is all I'm aloud to get here in Canada...)
I bought the 500 an got +75 Bonus. Then I bought the 1000 and got +0 Bonus! Thanks for <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> me again PW! You will never see another drop of money from me again.
From as far as I can tell the cards always are in (American) dollars, and European players always pay in euro's. So nothing was "changed" from the original situation. Failing to mention this to people on time however does make the word "neglectance" appropriate, I feel.
when you register on the UGC site, up the top right is your country. What you pick is what it is charged as, as far as I can tell. When the AUS$ WAS HIGHER THAN $US , I got more value from it, since I didn't need as many Aus$ for their US$. Now that the Aus$ is below parity I get less.
I have only ever used UGC to pay for zen and never had a problem. Is Everyone picking UGC on the accts page and NOT Playspan?

I don't think the problem is people not buying their cards in USD - I bought my card in USD, PW decided to charge me in Euros despite the card being in USD.
Hey Neverwinter folks. Evidently we're having the same issue over at Blacklight Retribution, and I DID get a reply from support. Very friendly as I am used to from PWE support actually, but the issue remains and can not be resolved.

Yes please, I'd like all four billing addresses removed.
Regarding the UGC: in that case I'll look for a trade. If that's not succesfull then I should be able to redeem it by buying some extra dollars to cover for the conversion difference. Weird, but it should work. I know UGC is listed as North America only, but it actually allows me to pay for an UGC with an exclusively Dutch national online banking system (called "iDEAL"), so I guess UGC itself does allow overseas purchases. It may be something for PWE worth looking into with UGC. I've included a screenshot for reference.
Thanks in any case for clarifying matters and confirming the currency-by-IP-location-at-registration issue.
Kind regards,
Brazilski

I apologize for the inconvenience with the currency tied with your account. Unfortunately, this is not something that we can change.
In regards to the billing profiles: would you like all four profiles removed?

So, even if I log in from the US, I can not use an UGC, because I was in Europe when I created my account? No offense, but as someone who's traveled a lot/lived in various countries, I find that quite bizarre in this day and age. Like I said it's not like I'm trying to buy an UGC in Europe, I allready got one: I've got $10,= lying about waiting to be spend on your product and you don't take it. Also, I can apparently buy a new UGC with euros through the weblink which does work. It's just that with the exchange rates none of the available ZEN ammounts corresponds to the value of my card. Ah,.. well, I guess I can find someone on the forum willing to make a swap. Or would you be able to redeem it for me if I included the UGC code in this ticket?
In any case I still have about four duplicate/partial billing addresses on my account, which for some reason I can't delete or edit, and I can't make new ones either. In light of future payments, I'd really appreciate it if you could delete those for me.
Kind regards,
Brazilski

Hello
Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, we only accept Ultimate Game Cards in the US and Canada. For more information on which payment options are available in your region please visit this page: https://billing.perfectworld.com/options. We apologize for the confusion.
While we understand your request to be able to choose the currency you use to make transactions, the currency tied to your account is determined from where you are and the registration date of your account. These, unfortunately, are not conditions we can artificially change.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently got a $ 10,= Ultimate Game Card to spend on PWE ZEN. However when I submitted my billing address, I submitted my current living address, which is in Holland. I expected to be able to pick a different address for the card to be charged from, and when that didn't worked I created a new billing address, which I set as standard. However, no matter what I do, I can still only pick euro options. Due to conversion rates I can not spend my $ 10,= UGC card otherwise as the euro equivalents cost more than the ammount that is on the UGC.
Also I now have up to three duplicate billing addresses, which saved automatically, which I can't edit or delete, and it doesn't allow me to add new ones. Could you please reset my billing addresses and/or otherwise give me the option to buy ZEN with dollars.
Kind regards,
Brazilski

I too was forced to do this. They were looking for an extra $1.68 to redeem this $20 card worth of ZEN. So the only amount I could do was a $10 (1000+150) and a second transaction of $5 (500)... NO BONUS on the 500... come on really people??
Rip Canadian players off more please!
So in the end I would have been better off buying 2000 ZEN from PWE directly.
This whole "Zen 15% Bonus event" would have given/gave me 1725(1650 due to missing 75) zen for the same 20$....
How is this fair at all? At lease PWE could include in the event details "WARNING This event is only a deal for US players ONLY."
I feel scammed in a way..
Lets hope PWE can step up and make an official announcement on the topic. Maybe come up with a solution as well? I sent in a ticket 3 days ago about this whole thing but still no reply. hmmmmm
Never again will I buy another UGC, lesson learned I guess. All UGC had to do was include at the retailer their bogus extra charge and this would have been all ok. No way we are going to buy extra cards just to pay off other cards...
I was on the fence about purchasing ZEN for Neverwinter and this is what I get for going over. FUN TIMES!

I redeemed two $20 cards two nights ago and got the bonus for both cards.
Is the Perfect World (fast card) from 7-11 store included in this bonus event.. already tried $25 and $10.. no bonus what so ever..
.. ow i think I got the wrong card
Is there any "Coupon or promo code" needed to get the bonus? Thanks
My first purchase was $50 with the 300 bonus Zen offer. PWE won't give me the 300 bonus I was promised and they won't refund my money either. I just keep getting PWE's "GM - 82" telling me that if I want 300 bonus Zen I should buy yet another $50 on top of the $50 I already gave them and then I should get the Bonus Zen the second time. Buyer beware PWE promotions.
I am pleased to say than PWE have added the 2600 AD to my account that I should have got from the UGC promotion. It took a lot of time and a lot of discussion via tickets once they did respond, but they eventually agreed to it. They have advised me not to purchase anymore UGC until such time as they can resolve the exchange rate issue.
What frustrated me most was I already took a hit on the exchange rate when I purched the UGC in USD originally, so it was very annoying when I then only got 9400 Zen for $100 UGC when I should have got 11500 (10 000 + 15% promotion) especially since it is unlikely that PWE actually convert the money to Euros - I suspect they actually receive the money in USD from the UGC which makes the exchange rate charge completely fictional.
My advice to people who have been hit by this exchange rate issue is to just keep on them about it - don't just sit back when they say "Contact UGC", you really have to push for it and remind them that you are a paying customer and probably won't continue to be a paying customer if they don't resolve the issue. I also mentioned the possibility that the promotion could be seen as fraudulent as it did not make any mention of these exchange rate issues - whether that swung their decision for me or not, I don't know, but being a well known consumer and civil rights advocate, I would be surprised if they aren't on shaky ground legally with this one.
I know this is going to frustrate people who still haven't had their issue resolved, but as I said, keep at it, hopefully common sense will prevail and they will realise that it is not a good idea to treat the people who pay their wages this way for the sake of a few Zen - which they can create at will, at no significant consequence to themselves.
