Zen can even be moved to other games, like STO.... Wait. Stop for a minute. Click. Click. Is it sinking in yet?

What is that supposed to mean?

He doesn't realise that not all founders will choose to actually show it in their forum names.

I understand its open beta and such and whatever is going on but the exploits on being able to farm the highest dungeons and all is just to much.

Half of our guild left the game due to those exploit and the economy is bassicly completely ruined.

I do understand that some ppl dont wanne reroll and dont mind it all.

So why not just satisfy the other big half that do mind and that are still intrested in the game but just cant handle all the huge drawback and give us a new shard ?

Eventually your plan is to merge all over time so what does 1 extra shard matter ... nothing just satisfied customers !!!

Yea new shard would get me playing again.. and possibly spending money IF AND ONLY IF they obviously fix the problems before opening a new shard. I'm not worried about the multitude of exploits already well publicized on these forums.. I'm worried about those that people are smart enough to keep secret for themselves... like some of the ones in Wow that most people still probably don't know ever existed.

Honestly, I am only seeing people being mad because others have gotten stuff that they haven't. The world works like this, someone else will always be better off than you, whether it be fair or not. It's a good learning experience for most of you. Literally the only thing it affects is that you will make less profit on the auction house.

yeah exactly and ones its claimed you cant switch so wheres your point ?

Ok, im going to use small words and try to make it understandable.

I take my AD and convert it to Zen
Zen exists as a pool available to any character on any shard. With me so far? This part is really important.
I make a character on the new shard
I take my zen and convert it back to AD on the new shard. Presto!

I have successfully destroyed the new shards perfect exploit free economy. And did it in a perfectly legit way. And if the exchange rates are better (and they most likely would be) Id make a nice profit in the process.

Understand now? What would be the point if a new shard if the "tainted" economy could simply be moved over?

BTW, it's worth pointing out that if this was Open Beta, there would be new shards at launch - by definition!
But this is not an open beta, it's a soft launch... only calling it beta because of all the fail... so there won't be any new shards when they pretend to launch it, because it already launched... etc...

I was quite happy as a child. No complications, no obligations, no real problems... just go to shcool, play with your friends, play with your toys, play alone, eat, pee, poo, sleep.

So it doesn't hurt you, those players aren't going to play with you anyway.

Well that is just mean. You don't know who wants to play with me and who doesn't.

Most likely the rerolling people won't exploit the exploits, by definition they're trying to get away form you.

Still mean...and well that is ridiculously naive to believe this "New" Server is only going to allow good honest hard working folk in....I mean...If I was an exploiter the new server would be like fresh meat!

I'm trying to get actual reasons why a wipe/new shard would be a good idea, but nobody wishing for such things has any good reasons other than "someone else is better than me".

Cause our bosses are beating up on us as we sit at our desks and it's way more fun running a skirmish in the forums?

These guys are trolls, just ignore them.
Look at their post history.

Gannigan even says "I have not encountered a single bug or issue yet and I am level 40."
Guess all the cheats and exploits and rubber banding and server down time are news to him.

My favorite part though is how he likes to quote forum rules all the time.
But back to back posts on different threads he says the rules call for no name calling, then he calls people HAMSTER or Mr. Bernake (redundancy too...).

Anyway, looks like all the people without troll post histories agree here.
Looking forward to coming back to the game on launch if there's a new shard...

EDIT: Oh, and good post OP. Ignore the HAMSTER.

Forum rules clearly state you are not allowed to call people cheaters and accuse people of exploiting here.

Zen can not be moved to other Perfect World games. Once Zen is applied to a game it is locked there. You're misinformed and spreading misinformation.

No it can't. I play STO almost religiously and already had the idea of using my vast stores of Dilithium there to cash in as Zen for Neverwinter. Didn't work. Was worth a shot at least!

I'm trying to get actual reasons why a wipe/new shard would be a good idea, but nobody wishing for such things has any good reasons other than "someone else is better than me".

There are actually numerous reasons why the idea would be a decent and workable one. However, the only thing many people WANT the reason to be is "you're just all jealous, nya nya nya!" There may well be some people who are jealous. However, there are other reasons that have nothing to do with other peoples' shinies.

1) They might want to start fresh on the latest iteration of the game once it goes "officially live", with a fresh economy.
2) They might want to begin on a server where there aren't thousands of 60th levels already running around.
3) They might want to start on a new server to help build a server community from the ground up.
4) They might want to start again with some friends who are new to the game, and they all want to start in the same place, without having to make new accounts or buy extra character slots.
Etc.

None of those have to do with "jealousy". It's not even in the top 10.

I know, I know, you want to think everyone is envious of your awesome 60th level characters and tricked-out epic gear, but honestly, there are many people who don't care about that sort of thing. When new servers opened up in other MMOs I've played, they were always VERY popular. People ENJOY starting over on a brand new server. Some enjoy trying to help build a community, some like the "race to max level", some like being "first!" to do something, etc.

However, Cryptic is going to stick with their "one size fits all" server, sadly.

Trying to simplify the reasons as "ur just jealous, lolz!" is, frankly, pathetic.

A fact I don't understand is why ppl keep bashing other ppls opinions and insight ...

If you think nothing is wrong just keep on doing or play whatever your playing / doing, dont come over and judge other ppls opinions.
