I know, I know, you want to think everyone is envious of your awesome 60th level characters and tricked-out epic gear, but honestly, there are many people who don't care about that sort of thing. When new servers opened up in other MMOs I've played, they were always VERY popular. People ENJOY starting over on a brand new server. Some enjoy trying to help build a community, some like the "race to max level", some like being "first!" to do something, etc.

However, Cryptic is going to stick with their "one size fits all" server, sadly.

Trying to simplify the reasons as "ur just jealous, lolz!" is, frankly, pathetic.

How is bragging rights by doing "racing to max level" or being "first!" any different? What you trying to make other people jealous by being first? Gratz want a cookie? Oh you racing to max level and be first 60? Building what community? You can build a community on a broken server as you play the content independently without having to resort on the auction house.

What kind of logic is that?

For many people it's not about bragging rights. As I said, there are numerous reasons people enjoy starting over on a brand new server. But considering the tone of your response, I'm not going to bother trying to debate -- or rather, argue -- with you. You're clearly not receptive to other peoples' ideas.

    Good day.

I wouldnt mind a new server or shard or whatever eventually down the line, but the game isnt that old. The economy isnt that old. Give it time and see what happens with it then we could start looking into if a new server needs to be set up.

Honestly I dont see it happening though. There wont be enough players for 2 mega servers to justify the expense.

Sounds like you want a private server than anything.

the second the first module is released none of this will matter, all the old gear will be obsolete, i would rather them concentrate on the future rather they wasting their time with fixing issues that won't matter in two months, and for those of you saying half your guild left..i don't believe you i'm running a 200 person guild and we have not has a single person leave or say they were going to leave over beta issues.

No it can't. I play STO almost religiously and already had the idea of using my vast stores of Dilithium there to cash in as Zen for Neverwinter. Didn't work. Was worth a shot at least!

Yeah, if only. Been saving up Dil and converting to Zen in anticipation of the Romulan expansion. Hit 5000 zen earlier this week. Of course, that ease of raising zen in some games is exactly why they don't let you transfer cross-game. :D

(....so lockbox keys went on 15% sale in STO this morning, and I dropped 2800 zen on 30 of them. All ready for when the Romulan lockbox hits. :p)

Then what? Someone finds the slightest most insignificant exploit and makes a Post about it, maybe a cheesy little youtube clip and what?

Do it again? Start a whole new server again?

Please share with us specifically how these supposed exploits affected you and half your guild that left the game. Enlighten us of the direct impact they had.

How many of those items had you been selling previous to the exploit? What were you selling them for? How many do you have left over? How much can you sell them for now? How much AD have you lost?

How many if any of your Guild mates were able to procure said items and at what great discount did they get them at since there were sooo many?

Why was it that your Guild mates getting the supposed exploited drops at a reduced cost cause them to leave the game?

What specific item were you planning on buying last week that you now can't afford do to the exploit? Please share with us the details so we can better understand and support your cause.

Because all I have heard on these forums is "I heard that so and so did this and that and ruined the game!!!!" ~ Completely vacant of any details or specifics as to how anything has been ruined.

Pretty much the same as most of your posts have little substance to ground the game as being healthy.

Still trying to find a reference to AD in my AD&D Manuals.

I would be in the new shard camp - I think it would attract many more players than coming to a game the day of the official release and finding thousands of top levels there ahead of you. Everyone starting at the same level helps the newcomers feel useful as they adventure and craft their way up.

But buried in all this is the plan to merge ALL the shards at or soon after release. If this truly ...silly idea is implemented it doesn't matter whether a 4th shard is added for a short period so this whole discussion is academic.

Shard merger sends the message - whatever they SAY - that the game is failing. Becuase historically that is when servers are merged. My server is crowded enough as it is - zonal chat scrolls out of sight in seconds and sometimes it feels as if I need to take a number and wait in line to kill a quest mob (in the open world).

If they make a big push for players when they go live - and why wouldn't they use this as a big advertising opportunity - it will get a lot worse even with no server merger. Add a merger and I don't even want to think about it. Not to mention <hushed whisper< lag - and rubberbanding and crashes.

I understand its open beta and such and whatever is going on but the exploits on being able to farm the highest dungeons and all is just to much.

Half of our guild left the game due to those exploit and the economy is bassicly completely ruined.

I do understand that some ppl dont wanne reroll and dont mind it all.

So why not just satisfy the other big half that do mind and that are still intrested in the game but just cant handle all the huge drawback and give us a new shard ?

Eventually your plan is to merge all over time so what does 1 extra shard matter ... nothing just satisfied customers !!!

1 each server already uses hundreds of shards.
2 so you want a new server but the exploits still r not fixed...minus tier set bug.

So same thing would happen there...
