Did you not follow his instructions and go to the TR board for proof to see the SS?

But yeah, TR rogues recieved a huge punchin the nethers. I logged in after the 'patch' and was dismayed that I couldn't facemelt as quickly.

Unlike others, I did incredibly believe that the damage reduction was needed.

    I was referring to PvP.

I'll say it again: I have no gripe with the nerf to Lashing Blade. My issue is with the precedent this sets: that major, class-changing alterations will be made and we will have to keep tossing out 6 dollars to attempt to experiment with adjustments.

But before you say, "lol TR got nerfed hurray", consider the fundamental principle at work here: that a developer would nerf your class and then make you pay real money to experiment with new builds to overcome the change.

Given that my main is a GWF and how tough it is to do decent damage I doubt very much that Cryptic would nerf us (again) as an advantage of not playing FOTM classes is that nerfs are unlikely. Regardless, I imagine Cryptic probably has a lot of data as to the average DPS and performance of various classes in PvE and PvP and I doubt they would do this after the GWF nerf fiasco without having good reason.

Speaking of which, how much is the actual decrease in overall DPS? If TRs are still great DPS then it perhaps this isn't such a bad thing since a reduction in TR damage output was inevitable, and the last thing any TR should want is a massive over-nerfing similar to what happened to the GWF.

I do agree that the respec situation is really annoying though.

Implying that this will be the only time they do it to any class, ever?

I don't know if you played Champions Online, but this was the sort of thing that obliterated its initial player base.

There's proof that happened. Unless there are patch notes saying it, I don't believe it.

Well.... history in mmo's is all mmo's stealth nerf. I would never be surprised, in fact I expect it. Not saying me cheerios are soggy over this.

Once again, I have no gripe with the nerf. My gripe is with the precedent this sets.

Also, I feel for you GWF guys. You're dramatically underpowered at present. But the problem with this kind of balancing (without patch notes even, for god's sake) is that it only leads to further balancing and adjustments in the future. And eventually you're adjusting to previous adjustments and you've forgotten what you originally intended to be the game's balance in the first place. It's a slippery slope.

I don't mind nerfs. I could even live with them not telling us about them. But I can't live with them not telling us about them /and/ be expected to shell out 6 bucks for every one of my attempts to adjust and find a new play-style.

oh c'mon. at current AD:zen ratios it would only take 3.5 months of dailies to buy 1 respec!

You have already given them a year's worth of money kid. In less than 2 weeks.

How much more do you think they will get out of you?

I actually fully agree with you. Changing a class without even a patch note is dubious practice at the best of times. Doing so while charging ridiculous amount for a respec makes it far worse. If it was 100ZEn then fair enough (I wouldn't like it but if I need to respec every few months its not a big thing), but 600 ZEN is insane.

as someone earlier said, they didn't include patch notes mainly for making us pay $ to respec to tinker with builds

this is just truly pathetic. this company deserves no respect.

Stop the drama already, there was no ninja nerf, only a bunch of misinformed kids crying all over the rogue forum.

lashing blade sux! rofl. if you're using lashing blade instead of smoke bomb, shadow strike, dazing strike at level 60 in pvp, you're doing it wrong.

Only ability you can one shot with is Shocking Execution daily power. when maxed, used from stealth, with feats that increase damage from stealth.

There was definitely a change to Crit Sev/Lashing Blade. I have no idea where you're getting there was no ninja nerf when practically every 50+ TR is reporting lower crit numbers across multiple skills in both PvE and PvP. Everyone is talking about LB though because the numbers were high enough that the change was easily spotted when people started critting for less.

Instead of telling people to "stop the drama", how about you post some evidence to the contrary rather than contributing to said drama by being a twit?

What a moronic build. I bet the only time you get kills is when your daily is up.

no way dude. if you got your feats right. this daze build works like a charm to keep people from ever using their abilties before dead. smoke bomb with feat that reduce movement.
    best 1v1 build currently.

Yes and no. It wasn't that they balanced classes. It was HOW they did it. Almost daily adjustments on a game that had gone through a full beta. And then adjustments not just to bring the ability in line with similar abilities, but to render it totally useless.

As others pointed out, at least it wasn't costing you $6 a pop to readjust. But it was unfair to people who built their toons not as FOTM , but with a concept in mind, in a game where concept/customization was everything.

Want to buy reclass token, I wanna be op again.

Nah, JK. We needed a nerf, PVP was HAMSTER, and PVE doesn't need to be so easy that boss mobs go down 5% a round vs our damage at high-end.

If it happened, and it wasn't on a patch note, what else could it be? It's not the players responsibility to read every post on the forum before playing. That's what patch notes are for.
